Very caring and right to the point! He treated my dog for a wound he had for 2 months, we just couldn't seem to get rid of it and within a month it was completely gone!!! We are so grateful for this clinic

I have been using this vet at a friend's referral since I moved to Tulsa five years ago. I have dogs and parrots. There have been very good things and very bad things. Good things: I rescued a Chihuahua and Dr. Chet completely reconstructed this poor boy and found things that the rescue agency did not find. Including that the poor dog's lower jaw had deteriorated from malnutrition and was no longer connected to the upper jaw so Dr. Thomas fixed that with zip ties! A few years later, we were able to remove the zip ties as the bone had grown back from proper nutrition! He also fixed this dogs missing eye that just left a gaping hole. This was an amazing feat and truly saved this dog's life!I have been very fortunate that my dogs health otherwise has been pretty good, and it is easy enough to run in there to pick up the heartworm and tick and flea meds every six months. The office does not participate with Chewy and will not send on your scripts to Chewy for mail delivery for those of us who are so busy that even sometimes swinging by the office is hard and that is a negative count. On the bad side: with my small Conure parrots, my black capped Conure was left maimef on her left foot when we had to remove the breeder band from her leg which was causing scarring at her knee joint. Unfortunately, she has never regained the ability to open and close her left foot after having that band removed and I no longer bring my birds in to this vet but up to have them treated over the phone.. They are just too delicate for this doctors office.It is a madhouse in there. Because he is good, efficient, down to earth - every time I've had to go in and try to schedule an appointment. I'm given a large window like from 7:30 to 10 AM to come in. When I come in, there's usually 8 to 15 people with their pets in a very tiny waiting area And I have to wait for hours for something as simple as vaccinations as they do not give out appointments. It is really because of this that I am looking today for a new vet just because my time is so precious. I do not have resources to spend hours in a vets office without an appointment and also I have asthma and allergies and cats and other dogs will make me sick for days, when I am in that type of condition for longer than 15 minutes. It is unfortunate because he is an exceptional vet. Just a little too busy, a little too unorganized, a little too rough with the little creatures and does not have adequate seating area for the long waits that a visit here requires.

Always the best care for my fur baby. Dr. Chet is professional, kind and always knows what is best for my dog. I came from a larger multi vet office where we were passed around to whomever was available. I prefer one caregiver who knows my dogs history and special care. There is a caring atmosphere from the office staff that is a rare find, five stars is not enough praise.

My wife and I have been very pleased with the City Veterinary Hospital. We have been going here for several years. Dr Chet Thomas has taken excellent care of our two fur babies. He explains everything in detail and answers all our question. His staff is always very nice and helpful. They are right on the corner of 36th and Peoria in Brookside. They have been there for years. #ThankYouThursday

Dr Thomas is the best vet I have ever had! I am 70 and have had many vets in my life... never one like this man. He is thorough and kind. His staff is wonderful with my pets! I've been going here for over 10 years and do not have one complaint with him, his pricing or his staff. Would not trust my pets to anyone else! A true diamond in the rough.

Today is a very sad day we had to put our yorke to sleep.. Lilly was 17 she had a great life and she gave my wife and me one also.. but things were not going well she lost her hearing and she had some sight but christmas Day she lost her sight she was showing signs of confusion didn't want to eat just staring at the floor I knew what the right thing to do was but I couldn't do it .. so I took Lilly to see dr Thomas he put compassionate reasoning to work. If it wasn't for Dr Thomas Lilly wouldn't be 17 but she was not Lilly and not enjoying life thank you Dr Thomas and your sons lilly is now at rainbow bridge seeing, running and going after squirrels Lilly was not enjoying life afterwards yet Dr Thomas explained things to us I understood what was eight

Took my cat to a vet beforehand, had a very bad experience, was a little nervous giving another vet a chance since you never know what you'll be getting yourself into. Took my cat here after he hasn't been eating for a week, my cat was very comfortable, they handled him very well and Dr. Thomas was very knowledgeable and knew exactly what to do and what was wrong. My cat was eating right away by the time I took him home and has been doing really good since. if you want your pet cared for, take them here.

best service and care for my babies since day one. I owe this team and Dr. Thomas millions of thank yous for everything they have done for Sméagol and Tupac. Takes a special person to care for our babies and that's what we get every time we walk in those doors. Always calm, responsive, and attentive to all concerns.

If i could give him 100 stars i would!!!! Dr Chet Thomas is by far the best vet in Tulsa!!! He used to be a mobile vet before taking over the practice at City Vet on Peoria. He came to my house over a holiday weekend to pick up my chinese shar pei girl who was lethargic, and barley walking. As it turned out, she had pyrometra. Her utuerus was enlarged, infected and filled with pus. he essentially had to perform an emergency spaying to save her life. I am so greatful to Dr Thomas for his love for all animals big and small. Im sure the bougie location of his office adds to the price tag of the bills, but i wouldn't trust my furry friends with any other vet!!!! Much love!!!
