We stopped into this little place on the way back to DFW. Super friendly lady who owns the place. Sold Watkins products, my Grandma would have been all over that. Food was down home cooking good. Only complaint would be the bathroom situation. My Mom uses a walker, so it was a bit getting back there to them.

Good country lunch! I had the Philly cheesesteak and fries. Well-seasoned and on a great Johore roll. Fries were crispy and I ate every one of them. Hubby had the chili and it was a bit spicy for me, perfect for him.

My grandson and I were hunting for a breakfast place after our original pick was closed. I checked Yelp and saw the Chester Cafe was close by and open. Breakfast is pretty no frills. We had the two egg breakfast with hash browns, sausage or bacon and toast or biscuit and cream gravy. The eggs were cooked to order, over medium. When you order fried eggs it's hard to know if the cook has the same understanding of medium that you do. Will the white be cooked but the yolk still mostly runny. These were perfect. Biscuits were small and came covered with gravy. I usually ask for my gravy on the side but this time I forgot. Biscuit was not dry and had a good taste. Coffee was good and plentiful. Always a good sign for a breakfast place. Sadly it's not always a given. After seeing the buffet menu, I'm really planning on being back for lunch. The veggie assortment listed is amazing!!

I come by here every chance I get. I live in California but have relatives in Eastern Oklahoma. I stumbled across this place by accident and am so glad we did. Food is excellent. Service excellent. Price is affordable. Portions good. Ambiance casual vibe. I'll be back next trip.

This is definitely not a five-star restaurant lol. But for what it is, they do a good job. It is a very country, hometown, no frills café. It's old, kinda dirty, but the food is good and the people are very nice.

Wish I could've tried that buffet everyone is talking about, but the pizza was amazing. Better yet, the staff were some of the kindest, most gracious and catering folks you'll meet. They even rounded up some broccoli by special order to add to the weird New Mexican hippie's veggie pizza, and didn't even act grossed out! That tiny town of Chester is home to maybe 50 folks, but there's no shortage of community feels in this little cafe. Stop in and see these guys and give em some good feels right back!

A delightful buffet tour of Southern cuisine Thanks to a couple of strong Yelp reviews, we found this small café tucked away in the beautiful Ozark Mountains of Arkansas. The buffet included salad, okra, collard greens, johnnycakes, a spiced-to-perfection meatloaf, and a chocolate chip pecan pie warm out of the oven, as well as a long list of items you will find on the menu board pictured with this review. All for a price of $7.00 ($8.00 for the weekend buffet)! That was a $12.50 meal anywhere else. It's a blink-and-miss-it town, so don't expect fancy trappings. But that's as good a meal as you will find between Fayettville and Little Rock.

Service was mid. The fish was bad and the fried squash and okra was horrible. The squash was super skinny not much to it. You had to go outside for the bathrooms and it was in somebody's house. Overall would not recommend for anyone unless you want to lose some weight.

Service was ok. From outside it looked very sketchy. It seemed like it was in someone's house with random tables and seats all around cThe bathrooms were outside of the restaurant. The chicken strips were very stale and chewy. The fries were sour. I got water and it had a green tint to it so I didn't even try it. If you are looking to lose weight this is the place for you. The only good thing about it is I only wasted $9 on blowing up the toilet.

Absolutely amazing! Everything from scratch. The biscuits are the best! We had the chicken fried steak stack. It was great.
