Chelino's Mexican Restaurant

I'll be honest, we hadn't eaten here in a very long time. There are so many restaurants to choose from now but we came back to our original Del City favorite! It felt great to come back to Chelinos and experience great service, atmosphere, and food! I had forgotten how delicious their chicken enchiladas with beans and rice are! Hands down my favorite with sour cream sauce on top! My husband loved his beef enchiladas also. Great flavors and textures with their rice and beans too. We were pleasantly surprised that the set-up before the meal still includes free cheese sauce and sopaipillas for dessert if you want one. Our food was served piping hot and absolutely delicious! Service was friendly and attentive. The colors and decor are pretty inside and it's very relaxing and inviting there. We will not stray again. Next time I'm going to try a chicken taco salad. This place used to be so good. It had definitely fallen off over the years. I appreciate them for accommodating my party of 30 with a two hour notice. The servers were excellent and did the best they could. The chips were all broken and the tortillas were so hard and crunchy. The relish had like one carrot in it. The food is mid at best. The quesabirria tacos needed more cheese and flavor. The rice and beans were just that, rice and beans. Again we knew what to expect it's good enough for the price because it's fairly inexpensive.

Absolutely love this location. Excellent service and the food always ends up exceeding my expectations. The ambience is great and it's a welcoming atmosphere. Free chips and salsa with your meal and you really can't beat that the sopapillas are on point and the fajitas are mouth watering. I give the whole experience a 9.5/10. If you are nearby give this place a try! Cheers

Great food! Our waitress very attentive. Music authentic Mexican setting. Highly recommend, feel so full. Such great tasting food.

Soup was awesome, tomato/cilantro based shrimp and fish soup. Then the combination fajita. The soup itself is a whole meal, didn't know that going in. But great value for the amount of food and great blend of flavors!

more like a 2.5. Havent been here in quite some time so we decided to give it a try. Wasn't busy so we were seated promptly. Menus delivered as well as the set up. Drink orders taken. Once we had the drinks we ordered. I had the fajita mixed(chicken,beef and sausage) lunch special with Mexican street corn and chino beans. My wife had 2 crispy beef fajita meat tacos with the standard refried beans and rice. Food was delivered. Nothing sizzling. No peppers with the fajitas. Only an over abundance of onions tht were partially cooked. The Mexican street corn had a good grilled flavor but had some type of cheese sprinkled on it tht was just off for me. Not saying it was bad, just not what I expected. Looked like parm but wasn't. The chino beans were ok. The fajita meat was warm as were the rest of the items on my plate. My wife's tacos were ground beef, not fajita meat. They tasted ok but the refried beans didn't. Over all there was not very much seasoning on either of our plates. Our server was very good and took care of refills on drinks but not the chips, which were pretty much pieces of chips. Overall not really not please. Wasn't bad but wasn't great either. Prob be awhile before I try again.

Never ordered from this location before. Decided to have it delivered. I'm a lover of tacos and I was not let down. Had been a while since I had Chelinos too. A little pricey on the delivery, might have to go in next time.

Every time I go to Midwest city Oklahoma to see family. I have to go to Chelino's and they are always great and the people are always friendly. I just love this place.

Chelino's used to be the spot. If I had company I'd always go to Chelino's. It's the only Mexican restaurant that I would ever frequent, however for the past two to three years the quality is off. My last meal there was Last week it was subpar. I don't know what's going on with the company but it's time for me to move on. Sorry Chelino's. I had the Chelino's dinner. The cheese enchilada was like a brick of cheese. The beef was not any better. The salsa was like Picante and the queso was like water. I remember when you'd make the enchiladas in house. What happened to you guys?
