I stopped by Charlies Chicken at 4747 S. 33rd West Avenue today for lunch. I went through the drive through because I was in a hurry. I received super-fast service in the drive through. I was impressed. The cashier was very polite and thanked me for coming to Charlies for lunch. I had the "Tuesday" special which was chicken chunks cut up into small pieces and mixed with stuffing. It also came with mashed potatoes, green beans, and a homemade roll. It was a delicious meal that really filled me up. They have a different lunch special every day of the week so I will have to go back on another day to try something different. It had been many years since I had stopped into Charlies for a meal and had forgot how tasty their food is. Also, they have a big parking lot so there is plenty of room to park your car if you want to dine at the restaurant. Give Charlies Chicken a try! You will be glad you did.

I am an infrequent customer to this location. They seem to have staffing and management issues. The staff are frequently on a smoke break, using the dining room chairs on the sidewalk beside the drive through lane. Quality comes and goes, but the vegetable sides seem to be more consistent. I came through today and when I got to the window they opened the window and the marijuana smell that came out was horrible. It really put me off. I know it's legal now but for business and health department purposes it shouldn't be used on the job. Management needs to clearly put some effort into cleaning up the establishment and setting clear guidelines.

I must post this review. Driving by and from the outside, this place looks funny and dirty. My wife, daughter, and I decided to try it after driving by it for two years. Called in our order to pick up, young man totally screwed it up when repeating it back to my wife, then he hung up on her. We went by to get our order, ready to leave and go up there today to kfc. I wished inn with my daughter, I tried to be polite.... Young Man welcomed me...l could tell by his voice her is the one who needed it up and hung up on my wife.... also could tell her was working hard and trying this best with what her had been given. 2 ladies helped get it all straightened out, we went home.... And I must say we were very surprised with the food. We ordered and recurrence family 12 piece mixed with 3 sides and 6 rolls. I must state this food was delicious!!! This place has did much easier than its visual appearance.This is a diamond in the rough.You must try this place.

Unfortunately this Charlie's was a let down. I've been to others that were good. The floors here were sticky along with most of the counters. I got some fried doggers and they tasted like they had been setting out for quite a while. I ate two bites and throw the whole batch away. I went between lunch and dinner time so I have some understanding why it wasn't the best, but I had hoped for something better. The staff was kind but other than the that, this was a let down and I would recommend going somewhere else.

Ordered through Grubhub (@ work) I ordered chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, gravy & banana pudding. What I got was chicken fried steak & three (3) bowls of gravy. Not sure what I'm gonna use 3 bowls of gravy for, but; thanks anyway for a crappy lunch that I paid close to $30.00 for.

Service sucks as well as the food, no coleslaw, no broccoli salad, baked beans taste burnt and everything else taste like it was from lunch time, got it for dinner around 6, first time at this location and won't be back!!

This place was clean, well-serviced & DELICIOUS! I had a large order for my church group & they got everything right & the food was still hot & fresh by the time I got it to where I was going! Those Chicken Chunks and the Broccoli Cheese Casserole were AMAZING! I don't know what you put in your seasoning, but it puts "The Colonel" to shame.
