I will get to the point and try to save you a little time. If you are traveling west on Route 66 and looking for Mexican food, don't eat here. After finishing your meal, you will say, as I did, "I have had much better." Oklahoma has some damn good small town Mexican restaurants; this is not one of them. In Vinta there are two other Mexican restaurants. Check the reviews and see what you think. If you don't mind driving a few more miles, stop in Chelsea. If you are headed south on 69, the first good Mexican restaurant is in Chouteau. There, that is all you need to know. If you are bored, here is the rest of the review. My wife cashed in her chips early. She pushed the chips and salsa away and said, "I don't care for the salsa at all." It is just tomato sauce, too much garlic and a little cilantro. The Picante was the same only it had a little bite from chili pepper. I ordered a relleno and tamale, the #43 Combo. My wife had some kind of a burrito. Neither plate of food was bad. The tamale had chili on it which was good. The relleno was average. The burrito my wife had was filled with Chopped steak, beans and guacamole, rolled in a large flour tortilla, all covered with yellow queso. What was really good about this burrito was the portion of steak in relation to the other fillings. There was a good serving of steak in it. No rice filler and the beans were not overloaded either. Both plates came with rice and beans. The restaurant is very large, with a well-worn interior and typical Oklahoma small town Mexican restaurant grungy restrooms. The service was adequate. And then there is the credit card fee!Overall, a 3-star rating which means; OK, but I won't be back and wouldn't recommend it to a friend.

The food is ok, but a little bland. Service is friendly. The layout of the place is interesting, covering several levels. If you sit in the back you can watch the trains go by on the track that runs behind the restaurant.

Stopped on the way to tulsa and we are glad we did. Nice and clean Mexican place with above average food for a smaller town. Lots of large open rooms so it's nice and quiet even on a Saturday night. Menu is big and has lots toOffer. I got the ya is carne asada and there was lots of meat and a huge amount of cilantro. Salsa was nice and mild which is a plus for me. Chips tasted fresh and the service was great. All four of us (two adults and two kids) ate a dinner for less that $35.00. Be sure to stop by if you get a chance. It's close to the highway so you don't have to drive far and it sure beats fast food.

Was greeted by Cesar's wife as it turned out, and we were seated immediately. Our waitress greeted us about 30 seconds later for drink orders....we also ordered chips and salsa and a large queso - white molten cheese with some added spices and maybe diced peppers or something- very good, above most plain queso in flavor and spice. Not hot, just flavorful.Good salsa, not chunky but not pure sauce either, stays on the chip nicely, slightly warm spice-wise, and went well with the yellow corn chips (my favorite is white corn thin chips), but it all worked and we kept eating and eating...I had beef fajitas and my son the 3 enchilada combo. Refried beans were cooked in pork making them delicious, versus the plain beans out of a can and heated you get at many Mexican restaurants. I asked and was told they cook the beans from raw to refried, which explains the great flavor.Fajitas: There wasn't any gristle in the well seasoned beef, easily cut when needed with a fork, and the onions and peppers were in right proportion to each other and the beef- excellent. My son's chicken, beef, and cheese enchiladas were wrapped in corn tortillas, or at least a couple of them were, perfectly dressed with appropriate sauces, the great beans and (just average) rice on the side. He loved them.Great service, locally owned, and varied menu make this one of those rare places you can't go wrong with a menu choice. We've been several times now, and it's all good.I haven't been to their other restaurant at the Bernice/Monkey Island intersection, but I understand Cesar runs that one directly- great husband/wife team it sounds like making for consistent quality.

The restaurant is very nice inside. Spacious, separate rooms, would be a nice location for a party! Went there for the 1st time after deciding that Vinita must not be the place for good Mexican food after lack luster experiences at the other 2 choices in town. Boy, were we wrong! Salsa had a delicious authentic flavor, my husband also asked for a spicy version which he thought was excellent. We ordered guacamole, you could actually taste the avacado, which is a huge step above the normal for this area. All the food we purchased (family of four) was FANTASTIC, and we can't wait to eat there again and again.

only thing I have to say is the handi cap parking spot is not set up with a ramp for those that are in a wheelchair. need to remove a concrete bump for the wheelchair community. also there men's restroom is not designed for wheelchair access and no grab bars so I had to go in the women's bathroom to use it and I had my caregiver take my wheelchair out of the way so I could get out of the restroom. I will not be back to visit and eat . I suggest the owner start thinking of a restroom remodel and add in handicap chair access and grab bars and it's also a federal law. but other than that the meal was definitely delicious

Not even worthy of a the one star. I found a hair under the peppers and onions. Absolutely nasty. Nobody working there thought anything was wrong. Didn't offer any other food or anything. Took forever to get our food, had to ask multiple times for drinks and chips that we never got. We will NEVER be back. Worst service I have ever had. So pathetic.

My family and I really enjoy the food at Cesar's. The service is hit or miss. If Maria waits on you it's good. I won't be going back though. Checked my receipt after checking out and found I was charged 4.3% for using my debit card. There nothing that I saw posted about a fee for using my debit card. Last time Cesar's will get my money.
