Cedarwood Veterinary Clinic

Dr. Sales is a fine vet and when euthanasia was needed she was kind and made it painless. But she is long gone. We had to have our cat euthanized and Dr. Poteet was the only vet there. She left us in that chaotic room at the back. Cats don't like chaos and neither do we. We did not get to say a private goodbye in an exam room with the door closed. Worse, it was painful for our cat. An anesthetic was not given first and she reacted with pain as she died. We will NEVER go back! And yes, they had that black trash bag at ready. The waiting room was full, as usual, and they just wanted to get on with it. No compassion.

I took Oscar the Cat in today for sniffles and sneezing, and couldn't be happier with the experience. They were able to work us into the schedule, and Dr Poteet examined and treated him easily and humanely, even though he's a troublesome kind of cat. And I don't have to give him any pills, hooray! Dr Poteet is very experienced and knowledgeable.

Today was my first visit to Cedarwood veterinary clinic. I brought my cat in for assessment and treatment. Unfortunately, I was placed in room number two and the person who placed me there left the door entirely open. This room is right outside the back room for "employees only" where they do most of the treatments and I discovered today also euthanasia. Multiple employees left the door open exposing a euthanized tabby cat to me. I then watched in disbelief as a female staff member packed a box with multiple items; and, eventually the dead tabby wrapped in a black trash bag. I didn't understand why the staff and especially Dr. Poteet would allow a brand new client to witness that very private moment for that cat and it's family. Highly unethical and irresponsible.

Dr poteet is the best veterinarian on the planet. His methods are old school, non-invasive, and compassionate. His staff has worked there since I brought my first dog at 8yrs old and I'm 30 now and tried other vets in tulsa ok and never been more impressed w cedarwood. If you go in w out appointment, Expect to wait!!! But usually, when a place is booked up, means they're doing something right for people to continue to use their services.

LOVE LOVE LOVE these people. Cedarwood has been caring for my Zoo Crew for 20 years, and I would be completely lost without them. Through the highs and lows of pet parenthood, Dr Poteet ,Dr Wendy, Dr G, Christy, Lisa, Jess, Hope, Misty, April.. and everyone there have been amazing. The office is run very efficiently, the Dr's are current on new advances, and with their combined experience, and attention to detail, I know I'm in excellent hands. Micki Zimmern

Absolutely the best, most caring and compassionate veterinary staff I've ever known. If you're looking for people that love animals as much as you do, this is the place. And they are exceptional veterinarians to boot!

took my cat in today to be neutered and he was a perfect healthy cat and the killed him

This place is awesome. Dr Robert Poteet has been a vet for 53 years and very knowledgeable. He was very straight forward with what was going on with our boxer girl. Told us straight up that the surgery that a different vets office had insisted that was the only option, wouldn't work and a waste of money. Both my husband & I were impressed.

I went in because my dog had was having watery stool. I pulled up thinking "is this a house?" Although I didn't have an appointment I just wanted to make sure everything was ok. The receptionist was extremely rude to me and told me without even looking at him that he was contagious and that I "needed to wait outside, until someone could see me!" It was a 30 degree day in Tulsa, so I didn't want to wait outside. My mom recommend them and was so surprised at the exchange. I ended up leaving before we could be seen because I felt they didn't care and didn't want to waste my money, time and the care of my dog with people who were so rude.
