One of the worst family vacations we have ever taken. I read reviews and did my due diligence when picking this place but I was lied to with false advertisement. I'm a small business owner and I NEED WIFI AND/OR PHONE SERVICE wherever I go, this is how I make a living. This place had neither. Advertisement said rooms had hot tubs but neither room had USABLE hot tubs. One hot tub was empty and came with a frog. The second hot tub had water dripping from the top deck and lukewarm water. The room carpet was old and smelled horrible. Upon check out, I was asked to strip the beds, gather up all trash and towels, and wash the dishes. Is this a hotel or an Airbnb?I do not recommend this place and will not be back

We have been staying at Candlewick when we visit relatives in Grove for thanksgiving. They offer a special Groupon rate. I would rather stay at a regular hotel but Candlewick costs less during winter months.

This was a pleasant alternative to local hotels. We were in town for a couple days and found the hotel room spacious, comfortable and very clean. The only thing preventing five stars was there was no place to set your luggage - We had to place it on the floor. I would give 4.5 stars. The price was right and it was quiet in the off season, so definitely worth a stay.

This was our 3rd time visiting Candlewyck Cove and I must say, we are already planning another visit!!!My husband Kenneth and I love the cabins! They are so peaceful and quiet. We like to relax in the hot tub and jacuzzi, spend a romantic night in, cook dinner, and whatever else we want. We visited both Wal Mart and Harp's where we stocked our refrigerator with goodies for the week. The staff brought us champagne and chocolate. I love to walk the grounds. It's right on Grand lake and in the morning, the view is amazing!!! There is also a seasonal pool and an outdoor play area. Gear to use at the lake can also be rented. We love Candlewyck Cove and consider it our home awY from home. We will be back.We just came back from another stay at Candlewyck Cove Resort and it was just as amazing as the first time! We stayed in cabin 3 where we had a king size bed, fireplace, full kitchen, jacuzzi, and hot tub. We had stayed in this cabin two years previously and were very excited to stay there again. My husband and I stocked the refrigerator with supplies from a nearby grocery store and we settled in for a nice weekend. We played basketball on the playground, grilled steaks on our grill, and got to meet some great neighbors. The kitchen was stocked with pots, pans, baking sheets, dishes, and utensils. They offered everything we would need. There were plenty of towels and toiletries in the bathroom and two sinks. It was a large area with a separate area for the toilet. We loved having a real working fireplace and the cabin was cozy and romantic. We plan to come back again next year.

I love this place. My husband and I came here as a romantic getaway and were not disappointed. We entered our room where red roses, champagne, and chocolates were waiting for us. We have a jacuzzi tub in the room and a hot tub on our balcony. Also, we are right on the lake. We look out our window to a gorgeous view. Plus, they have a pool for those who don't feel like going out on the lake. Great place. I would recommend it.

We purchased the two day Groupon for a get away and somewhat midway point to meet up with some family. The staff was very friendly from check-in to check-out. Especially one silver haired gentleman who always stopped for some peek-a-boo with our 18 month old. Also, at one point I had my four year old outside who was in meltdown mode (trying to keep the noise down while the baby napped). The gentleman appeared out of no where on a resort golf cart with a Popsicle in hand. Our cabin was clean and the kitchen was well stocked with supplies for making yourself at home for a longer stay. Each cabin had it's own grill and patio set for outdoor dining. When we booked the cabin we were given a choice between a newly "renovated" cabin with a hot tub. We chose a different cabin because my in-laws were bringing their dog and the operators didn't want to allow dogs in the newly renovated cabin. We all agreed that our cabin seemed newly renovated as well. I wish I had that carpet at home. We rented a pontoon for a few hours on the lake. Next time we will have to come when it is warmer so we can enjoy some water sports too. A wonderful place to stay for a relaxing break from home.

This place was great. We stayed one night in the hotel and we were in the area for a fishing tournament. The staff was amazing and very accommodating. Emily knew the answers to all of our questions before we asked them. They had a cancellation before we arrived and she moved us to a room that would better fit our needs without even asking. She helped us find plugins and parking for the boat and gave us a map with showing us the quickest ways to the boat ramp. The room was bigger than most and had all the supplies we needed for the night. My favorite part was the back patio on the hotel room. It was a little balcony and although it wasn't a private balcony. It was fantastic to sit out there as the sun went down. There was no one else staying in the rooms beside us so it was private while we were there. The facility is small but has plenty of variances in accommodations and rentals for water sports if that's your thing. We will be staying there again!

* Update: I thought I posted this months ago and came back to it because I wanted to add that I'm still excitedly awaiting my chance to go back. *Wanted a weekend anniversary getaway and stumbled upon this place. 3 months later and I still can't stop raving about it so I thought I'd come leave a review. Clean, comfortable, and quiet. The private hot tub was the kicker for me and I have not stopped dreaming of it. It overlooked some of the lake and was SO peaceful.

My wife & I were in Grove OK last minute for a funeral so this was all unexpected. Our usual hotel in town was all booked up so after finding this place online my wife called & spoke to Emily and before we knew it we had a room for the 3 nights we would be in town and after explaining WHY we were coming we were given a really fantastic off peak rate (much cheaper than the hotel). Upon arrival we were truly surprised & happy how nice the place was. Just beautiful grounds (including the wonderful road in) and the entire place was very clean, warm & home like. Thank you Candlewyck for making a very sad time a little brighter for us. We will now be staying with you for our family visits to Grove OK.

My husband and I purchased a 2 day stay through groupon and it was the best $$ I've spent so far! We arrived to a friendly manager who checked us in and assured us this was going to be a luxurious visit--and she was right. Our room smelled wonderful when we opened the door, there was a bottle of iced champagne and a 14-piece chocolate box waiting for us. The room was beautiful and clean, clean, clean. (I've been watching way too many Hotel Impossible's!) It was bright, had a view of the water from the front porch and faced the woods at the back. There was a hot tub waiting for us (too bad we forgot the swimming suits), and lots of towels in the bathroom (along with a wonderful jacuzzi). The kitchen was well stocked and didn't look like it had ever even been used. If this was closer to my home (another state away), we would be visiting every other weekend. If you love water, there's lots to do here--from boating to paddle boating. We went to Har-Ber Village and spent a whole day walking around because it was just so interesting.I highly recommend this for a romantic getaway--or just a relaxing, magical place to stay. You won't be disappointed.
