Cajun Cafe

I'm pretty sure this is the Cajun Cafe in the Penn Square Mall Food Court but it could be a completely different one - also 1899 and 1901 NW Expy are too close to be a coincidence. That review immediately below is also hilarious.

I don't get these bad reviews. This place has MASSIVE portions with plenty of flavor for less than 10 bucks. You can get 2 meals out of the 2 item combo easily.

Why they call themselves "Cajun" I have no idea. This is just Americanized Chinese fast food. 'Bourbon chicken' is just teriyaki with a watery sauce. It had sat too long today and chicken was gummy. Orange and sesame chickens were both sweet and vinegary. Sesame the better of the two but still only passable and both were soggy. 'Cajun pasta' is just an overcooked till mush lo mein with a butter and onion taste. Rice was dry. Didn't try the kung pao, but the spicy chicken I sampled lacked complexity and was very dry.Service lacked as well. It seemed no workers wanted to be there. They reluctantly handed out samples with expressionless faces, then were stingy on the bourbon sauce and refused to add extra when I asked. Portion size is only average here. None of the entrees were labelled properly.Every dish and side here has issues. I know my expectations shouldn't be too high eating mall Chinese food, but the Panda Express ten steps away serves much tastier, fresher food. After sampling, we really should have just walked away but the kiddies were all hyped for "sweet chicken". Lol, I'm such a softie. My advice, eat elsewhere.

The bourbon chicken and green beans were good but that's all. The noodles were eggy and soft. Flavor was awful for the noodles. It was like a dull sweet dry savory. The blackened chicken was just burnt with no seasoning. Egg rolls were okay but mushy inside. Over priced for the food but portion equals it out. I should have known by the name and food options. Not Cajun at all.

Food tasted old, employee was confusing. Sweet and sour sauce tastes like ketchup and the rice isn't flavored.

I was depressed and wanted to kms because I was suffering from aids but when I took a bite of the bourbon chicken it cured my depression and cured my aids. After I ate the hoochie mamas at the mall started flocking to me and LeBron Raymone James pull up and gave me a lifetime courtside seats to every lakers game. This place is the greatest food oat.

I went here with some of the fellas, but I have been here a bunch but it was their first time. The food and staff has alway been amazing and it makes me smile and rub my belly. I don't understand all the bad reviews this is really a great restaurant and has great prices. You can get a whole meal and a half for like $9! They fill up that to go box to the brim! If you don't like this place you're just dead wrong.

The food is very bad . Service is worse . Have tried it 3 times 3 different menu items .

This food was disgusting and it's not even Cajun food. This place needs to be shut down for good.

They were giving out samples and it was amazing. The food was a lot for not too much. Would recommend
