We were bummed they ran out of ribs but that was okay because the brisket was amazing! The BBQ sauce was super tasty. We also shared some pulled pork which was also delicious. This place really hit the spot."

Jack S. "South Fork is no longer open. Closed permanently in 2019. Excellent food and terrific service, South Fork delivers more than expected. The food is typical of lake country favorites but with an unexpected higher level of seasonings and preparation skills not normally encountered in small town cafes. Multiple daily specials and menu staples combine to offer something for everyone.Servers are energetic and very friendly, making sure each patron feels appreciated. The buffalo chicken sandwich, a recent daily offering, was the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. Fried in a light, crispy coating and topped with blue cheese crumbles on a real brioche bun the 8oz chicken breast was juicy and succulent. Fries wee fresh cut and abundant! My wife really enjoyed her Ruben sandwich on marbled rye. The strawberry walnut salad was outstanding as well. The bottom line is having a professional chef behind the menu and kitchen prep is a departure from the typical "head cook" of most small restaurants and it shows in every dimension.South Fork is closed for the winter"

Lizmarie C. "Wright's BBQ: A BBQ Lover's ParadiseAs Kansas City BBQ enthusiasts, we were a bit skeptical when our California cousins suggested a BBQ joint in Arkansas. But, hey, you can't say no to good BBQ! We arrived right at opening time and were surprised to see a line already forming. We ordered a variety of dishes to share, including the 3-meat combo with beans and mac and cheese, and a side of mashed potatoes. The pulled pork was a standout - tender, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The brisket was also impressive, though perhaps not quite KC-style.But the real star of the show was the mashed potatoes. They were creamy, buttery, and had a secret ingredient that elevated them to another level. We were so engrossed in our meal that we didn't even notice our cousin sneaking bites of our mashed potatoes! The atmosphere at Wright's BBQ is casual and inviting. While the extended wait times can be a bit of a drawback, we highly recommend arriving early to avoid the crowds. If you're ever in Northwest Arkansas, Wright's BBQ is a must-visit. It's a great place to experience delicious BBQ and create lasting memories."

The staff were super friendly and the food was excellent. The menu had plenty of choices, but I settled for one of the lighter salads which was still filling. My coworker had the brisket plate and loved it as well. The salad bar had many choices including a caprese salad. There were pastries and other snacks and goodies for sale that looked amazing! We were later surprised to see the dessert fridge and had to have a slice of banana cream pie and pistachio pie, respectively. They were phenomenal, I should have purchased a full pie to go."

Shelley C. "Everyone talks about what a great place this is for breakfast. We walk into a large round room, completely encased in windows, giving us an uninterrupted view of the airstrip. We settled into a window seat for two.The menu is simple. Breakfast items on one side, lunch on the other. A little pricey, compared to other restaurants with the same fare. It's cozy, the waitress greeted us with a warm smile. Dad ordered biscuit and gravy with a side of hash browns. I ordered the #2, which is the standard 2 eggs, meat (I chose ham) hash browns and home made bread (Or toast, but who chooses toast over home made bread?) While waiting, I had a chance to admire the small planes hanging from the ceiling. I noted 2 people sitting at the counter, 2 groups of middle-aged people and almost all of the seats at the window were taken by single, middle-aged men.I was instantly intrigued. No children. The youngest person in the room was the waitress. She was probably mid-thirties. She told us there would be a bit of a wait, as the cook had a large go order she had started on before we arrived. Fair enough. Conversation around the room indicated a regular crowd.Breakfast arrived. The ham was sliced thick, the homemade bread sumptuous. The hash brown serving was more than generous. The gravy cane in a large bowl, made from scratch, as we're the biscuits. No wonder everyone says the breakfast is good. I daresay we will be back, even if the menu prices are a bit steep. Come see for yourself!"

Rays chicken kitchen is located in the "Parlor" just east of Broadway on 6th street. Their bistro is on the upper level. We ordered the Nashville hot chicken and were treated to the best chicken tenders we've ever had. Unbelievably good, super tender, with just the right amount of heat. You can choose from several heat levels, being wimps we chose the mildest. There were a lot of other chicken dishes we wanted to try from the menu so Rays will be a definite return trip. Our chicken came with some great fries, deli style sliced pickels, & bread. Nashbird has really good Nashville hot chicken but Rays is flat out better."

Ashley F. "If I could give more than five stars I would. Highly recommend Chicken Mary's. Cannot recommend enough! Hands-down, one of the best places/service I have ever received at a restaurant. From the moment I walked in, I was met with great hospitality from the hostess who immediately seated me and told me about my server. The place has original location charm written all over it! Within a matter of minutes, my server, Keesha, came over with a trainee server, Natasa. I asked for recommendations and was given them with thoroughness and kindness. Per Keesha's recommendations, I ended up ordering a sweet tea, small onion rings, two dark meat chicken thighs, one dark meat chicken leg, the German potato salad, German slaw, and mashed potatoes and gravy. Now if you're thinking, this is a lot of food you are correct. I obviously took some home (and it reheated well in the air fryer). Hands-down, the chicken thighs were the best chicken I've had in my life. Wonderful mix of flavor and crunch, so tender it was nearly falling off the bone. Masterful flavor. The German potato salad was a different consistency than I've seen, but the flavor was out of this world and so was the German slaw. It's nice and refreshing to see something like that on the menu that you don't see just anywhere. The ranch is homemade too! I was too full for dessert, but I would've stuck around and had some of that if not. Keesha and Natasa were so kind throughout the whole meal. We had conversation, they comforted me when I was having a moment, and I received a big hug. They are truly people with big hearts who care.I cannot stress enough to try chicken Mary's. If you have not, add it to your list and make the trip. It is worth it and you will not regret it. Please go see Keesha and Natasa and give kudos to the young chef in the kitchen as well!"

I ordered the spring chik'n salad crispy. My husband had the chicken and waffles, which was kind of skimpy on chicken. We shared the fried pickles. The chicken was great! Will definitely return. The waffles were tasty and the salad was fresh. The pickles were perfectly battered. The reasons I didn't rate a 5. They offer a happy hour menu, which I would suggest they try to push. The guy that took our order did not mention. We didn't see the sign until we sat down. We may have ordered additional apps if we had known. Second, we were charged for ranch! The unfortunate part is neither of us even like ranch. We didn't use it but we were charged 50 cents for it. An understandable cost if you realize you are being charged. We will not make that mistake again! I would suggest the cashier be more up front about hidden fees. Inside and outside was clean. Service was quick."

I got the pulled pork sandwich with chips and a coke. The pulled pork was exactly what pulled pork should be - tender, juicy, full of flavor. I wasn't a fan of any of the sauces, but the meat was so perfectly done that you didn't really even need any sauce. Everyone working there was super friendly and helpful. I wish they would do something about all of the flies outside. That seems like a little bit of a health-code hazard waiting to happen. My wife and I ate the buffet, my son had three chicken strips (no sides), and each of the grandchildren had a children's burger meal. The total bill came to almost $60.00.I guess we were a little late for the lunch rush because there was only a few people eating when we arrived. Plus the buffet looks like it had been well picked over.Speaking of the buffet, most of the food seemed lower quality as if it came straight out of a can. It wasn't nasty but it sure wasn't gourmet either.Let's talk about the kid's meals. A small burger, fries, and Kraft Mac & Cheese. Nothing to write home about.OK, we have bland burgers, chicken strips that look like they came from a gas station, and two buffets that don't inspire loyalty as a customer. Add soft drinks and we have meals that average nearly $10 per person."

The restaurant decor at Monte Ne Inn has a lot of antique cooking and everyday farm tools and nostalgic signs, the service is great, and the menu simple -- white meat only or mixed chicken and all the fixings served family style until you are full, then you can add on fresh cobbler w/ ice cream if you've got enough room to handle it!
