The taco was large and pretty good. The relleno was OK. Complimentary salsa was pretty spicy (but not overly) as was the red sauce on the relleno. Pretty solid three kind of place."

"I came here Sunday night with a small group of 5 people in total. We were promptly seated, and they brought out chips and multiple salsas, the chips were hot and the salsas were fresh. The "hot" one had a little hey-how-ya-doing to it but still enjoyable. (A pleasant heat). After enjoying an El Jefe Margarita, I was feeling good. While you could not taste the alcohol, it was enjoyable, and the levels were perfectly mixed. For my entrée I ordered a chicken taco platter, which consisted of 3 tacos, and each was filled to the top with chicken cubed and grilled to a beautiful golden brown and fresh veggie. I ended up spooking on a little of the hot salsa on it, and it brought it from a solid 8 to a 10. This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants and have never been let down. Keep up the good work everyone."

"We came here today with a party of 6 today. Arrived at 5pm and they wasn't busy at all. So we got a table for 6 and it wasn't long before we had fresh hot chips and great salsa. The waiter took our drink order and it didn't take him 5 mins to serve our drinks and Cheese dip. By now the restaurant is starting to fill up and our food was out in about 15 mins. The fajita jalasco is one of my favorite fajitas which has beef,chicken & shrimp. These came out sizzling and they were so good. Also ordered the bean Chulapa which was filled with beans. The other party of ours had a pollo loco which looked outstanding as well. We had great service and the food was spot on. Will be back very soon!!!!"

"When we were in the area visiting we came across this Mexican restaurant and stopped in for a Late lunch early dinner. Very nice waitstaff that took care of our needs. First they bring out hot fresh tortilla chips and salsa which is really good. There menu is basically the same as any Mexican restaurant. So we went with the fajitas and the carna asada tacos. All I can say is the food we received was tasty n delicious. The fajitas came out smoking hot and love the fajita setup,beans,rice,sour cream, guacamole& pico. The Carna Asada tacos were just as good with lots of steak in it. It wasn't a expensive dinner but it was a delicious dinner. Will definitely be coming back the Margaritas looked like fun lol"

I moved here from CA so my taste for Mexican food isn't the same as the Midwest. I am not a Tex Mex gal. I prefer more authentic Mexican food and this is pretty darn good for small town Shawnee! Rice and beans are flavorful, food is always hot and doesn't lack seasoning like other places here in town. Rice is always cooked to perfection and not crunchy. It's crazy I have to even say this, but I've never been in a place where I've had more uncooked rice in my life! "So much food for so little price. If you maximize everything available, you could save some moolah and get more food. Chimi's gives you a free dessert with each Yelp check-in. To get it you have to be persistent with your server, asking her to speak to the manager. I had to show the manager who said she has never seen it. Nevertheless, I was able to get a free dessert in the end. When I walked in, there was no one in the front so I just found myself a table. Server came by after a few minutes. They gave me 2 chips and 4 salsa. I was really confused and for a moment thought I was special. As it turned out, they thought I had 4 people. After I told them that I was by myself, they took 1 chip and 3 salsa away. I no longer felt special. For the entree I had the chicken enchilada with rice and refried beans for a mere $9.99. My inexperience of Mexican cuisine caused a poor lapse of judgement. I wanted quesadilla but got enchilada and quesadilla mixed up. The food at Chimi's was good. I really couldn't tell the difference between the food here versus other places. Food tasted the same to me. Chimi's offers 6% cash back through Upside. My Chase credit card happens to offer 7% cash back on restaurants this quarter. I ended saving 13% on a $10.84 tab. In addition, a free dessert on top. No matter how much I disliked the service at Chimi's, I can't help but to recommend. With so many benefits, it is crazy for me not to recommend. If people were to ask me why they should go to Chimi's, I would simply answer that question with one word, VALUE."

We returned on Taco Tuesday and definitely recommend the El Pastor. We ordered the chimichanga , enchilada plate, a couple of street tacos and two fountain drinks. It was less than $18 for all that!! We both decided that we'd come back next time and just fill up on the tacos because they were that good! They have 2 sauces, both delicious. The green has just the right amount of heat. The red one is a bit hotter..... ease into that one because the heat builds! If you go this weekend, TACOS ARE ONLY .75 cents each!! Seriously just go eat here! The people are so so nice!"

The order was supposed to be ready after 8:15. when I got there, they made me wait 30 additional minutes for my order. Which made me late for work. I found an open spot at the bar and ordered a burbon and coke. Bartender brought me chips and salsa and suggested the chicken bacon quesadilla. Chips and salsa were mediocre at best. Chips seemed to be homemade, but the salsa was bland. The quesadilla came out, and that was great. My expectation after the salsa was low, so when the quesadilla came out, i cautiously took a bite. That was an impressive quesadilla. The chicken was tender, and the cheese and bacon were plentiful. It had an incredible cheese pull. If I were to recommend this place, it would be for that, not the chips and salsa. My Bourbon and coke was strong! Jody The Bartender was super friendly and engaging. She had been there since opening and was having to close bc someone called in, but she kept a smile on her face and a positive attitude. Overall, it was a good time, and the regulars who frequent the place were friendly as well."

This place can get crowded and parking isn't the best, you'll likely have to park on a neighborhood street if you go during a busy time. But, it's worth the wait and slight parking difficulty, so don't let the time waiting deter you.The salsas are gratis and run on the hotter side compared to most free salsas at Mexican places. You might want to try first if you have kids or people that are sensitive to spicy food with you. Every time I have gotten the standard breakfast which comes with eggs, your choice of meat, beans, potatoes, and your choice of tortillas. Everything is made homemade and is very hot when delivered to you. Like I said, this is not fancy, it's basic but prepared really well. The bites with tortilla, salsa, and various components of the breakfast are fantastic. I want to try lunch one day, but to be honest, if I am near there and they are serving breakfast, I'm getting breakfast. Don't pass this place by, it may not be much to look at from the outside but it's more than worth a stop."

"Señor Lopez Mexican Grill Check in 1/3/23There are 4 restaurants in Oklahoma that operate under the Lopez restaurant cartel name. Two here in Muskogee, one in Wagoner and one in Guthrie. I have not dined at the one in Guthrie. The other three restaurants are consistent in food quality, flavor, presentation, and service. They all share a common menu and are fairly equal in these attributes. The Lopez restaurants in Wagoner and Muskogee are probably the best Mexican restaurants in each town. Between the Lopez Grill Mexican Restaurant on 32nd and Señor Lopez Mexican Grill here on York St. I'd give a slight advantage to Señor Lopez Mexican Grill. Confused? Easy to do. Just eat at a Mexican restaurant that has Señor and Lopez in the name. In Muskogee there are too many other bad Mexican restaurants.Chips and Salsas are adequate. Service fast and friendly. We had the Combo # 3 and the Enchiladas Rancheras with Fajita Chicken. Not massive amounts of food, but fresh, hot and satisfying. Lopez's enchilada sauce is a habanero flavored sauce. Not hot, just a nice smooth habanero flavor and characteristic orange color to match. The meats are lightly seasoned. There you have it. It is an easy choice. In Muskogee eat at Señor Lopez Mexican Grill."
