"Ron's Hamburger & Grill in Skiatook is one of my local go to places. I've enjoyed their food for many years. There are several Ron's in and around the Tulsa area. And I can't say anything about them. However I hope that they are as good as the Skiatook location. Today my wife and I ordered the fried chicken bite dinner. My wife had tater tots, I had the crinkle fries. We both ordered coleslaw that in our opinion is very good. In fact we have never ordered anything that wasn't good. My personal favorites are the jumbo chili Cheeseburger and the three way chili. The employees have always been friendly and professional. You may have to wait a few minutes for a table if you come around the six o'clock dinner time. Today the place was packed at six. If it sounds like I'm bragging about the place, we'll I guess I am."

"This is one of those places that if you didn't know how good it was you may never eat here. This fast food Mexican takeout has been around for a looooong time. It is a cash only establishment. I come here for the burritos. My favorite is the all meat but the combo and bean are good too. I've never had their tacos. It'll cost you about $6 a burrito after taxes but they are HUGE! Everything I've ever gotten from there has always been great and if you can't eat all of it in one sitting it warms up great in the microwave. Overall grade "A". I live in Choctaw so I don't get out there as much as I would like. But if you get a hankering for a top notch burrito try this place out. I'll be back soon."

"Lets go for coneys! Ok which one? What are you talking about there is only one place for Coneys! That's pretty much how it goes when for this spot, everything is always done perfect. No asking if the chili has too much salt or wondering if you get a nasty mess of grease. So you know if you get it on the do or if you get it in the three way you are set. They have the old school classic squeeze cheese so you know that is going to be good. The chili dog with squeeze cheese is the go to satisfy you, the only thing that could make this place better is if the had a food truck that was parked at your favorite bar!"

Dad quickly jumped on Yelp to see what was around other than the normal fast food garbage. We found Pete's with a few good reviews and decided to give it a shot. Boy, are we glad we did!! This place looks a bit run down, but it's worth the short drive off of 69!! The burgers were great and so were the milkshakes (1/2 priced drinks from 2-4). The server was a sweetheart and it was a pleasant experience. The kids were happy which made mom and dad happy. If you're going through Pryor, give this place a try. "I'm a huge hotdog fan, and always on the lookout for great hotdogs. Split top dogs are located at 68th & north May Ave. Open Monday through Friday from 11:00 to 3:00. They're a New York city style push cart hot dog stand with fantastic tasting hot dogs. I choose the Larry with sauerkraut and deli style mustard. The bun was the absolute best I've ever had. Warm, soft, & did not fall apart. An all round great tasting dog. That being said I didn't give Split top 5 stars because they were simply out of the average Joe, & Jane's price range. With the plain hotdog starting at $5.00 and three of the eight listed dogs were $10.00 each. The rest were $7 to $ 8 bucks each. Don't infer from the four star rating I gave that they aren't superior hotdogs. They were outstanding in every way, but taking the family out for lunch would turn into an expensive outing."

The sausage itself was very tasty and a little spicy, and the pepperoni added nice texture and flavor. The blue cheese was a bit too powerful and it didn't seem like a chicken brat, it was like there was a ton of veggies in it. They did thin patty burgers vs thick patties which is my preference. You could double up on the meat and add bacon, cheese and all the fixings. Burgers were fresh and cooked to order. My buddies ordered chili on their burgers and they came out smothered on a plate. Fork and knife required to eat those beauties. Great fried okra and fried Onion rings were also made to order. Strong ice tea and a great home made salsa rounded off this great meal. Skip the fast food down the road and enjoy a burger here served with prompt and super friendly service."

They also have:- Hamburgers / Cheeseburgers- Fried Pickle Chips- Fried Jalapeño Pepper Chips- Frito Pies- A small selection of American-Chinese items- A small selection of dessert items- "Greek" Spaghetti (I had to Google this thing when I got home)I ordered three coneys (loaded and plain), two hot links, and some fries for me and my lunch mates. Now I really regret not ordering some fried pepper chips as well. The service was relatively quick and friendly. They forgot one of the coneys, so I had to remind them, and they quickly brought it out. The total was like... $14. That seems pretty affordable to me.With the understanding that this isn't meant to be high-falutin' (or even medium-falutin') food, I have to say that I enjoyed the loaded coneys. And they're what you would expect for coneys. The steam trapped in the foil softened the buns nicely, and while the chili wasn't super flavorful, it sufficed. The coneys tasted like... coneys, and I could put away a fair number of those things if "shame" wasn't a thing. It's precisely the kind of food that you know isn't good for you, but you don't care, because it's economical. It's state fair food. I love state fair food. If you're too uppitty for state fair food, I don't want to be friends with you.All that said, what I appreciated the most was not the inexpensive and relatively tasty food. Rather, it was the American immigrants catering to people with very Americanized palates; CNM is a restaurant exemplifying the immigrant pursuit of the American dream. One of the Original Godfather's Otis Bruce ran this joint. It started out at a tiny hallway and grew to what it is today. You can still sit at the counter. But you can also sit at a booth or a table. Every day you will see a group of locals meeting there for breakfast or lunch. It's where the locals eat. The breakfast is a classic diner menu. Eggs cooked on a flat grill next to bacon. Hash-browns too. Quick. And hot. And endless refills of Sprite. They have one of those extra carbonated soda fountains. Feel the burn. You'll want an Onion Fried with Cheese. A basket of fries, well done. And a double coney with extra mustard slaw. Theirs is perfect. The smoky hot dog. The soft steamed bun. The simple brick chili. And the house-made mustard slaw is heaven on a fork. Hidden gems: The breakfast burritos. Lunch Wraps. Huge. And they have dinner choices... Hamburger steaks cooked on the same seasoned flat grill as breakfast. All the sausage seasoning! The fried onion seasoning! And here is the set apart from the other choices. The service is superior. You'll get told hello at least twice if not 5 or 6. The locals nod to one another. We all talk to people in Johnnies. That's just one reason to go. To be seen. The owners are committed and on site and they manage and work the restaurant. It is a true locally owned, locally run and locally managed family place. It is clean. There is clean and there is clean. They are clean. You will not get anything but great service. And you'll get checked on. And checked in again. Have a slice of pie. The choices are listed on the board daily. And pay at the counter. Tip your server. And leave already planning your return. You want to know which one the locals go to... This one."

They have a full menu of coney's, frito pie, tamales, 3 way chili, chips, soda pop, and desserts. The staff is fantastic! They are all very friendly and love to serve delicious food. There is plenty of seating and the restaurant is nicely decorated. There is also plenty of parking out front. You get quick service at Carl's, so you definitely have time to squeeze in lunch at this outstanding restaurant."
