"This place is AMAZING!! I have to start with the food, it's just that great: my partner and I ordered the chicken Philly, polish sausage, and Italian sausage. All were fresh, the perfect combo of flavors, and delicious. Because the food is so fresh there's a bit of a wait - greatness takes time! They have so many options that we could come back many times and still be excited to try something new. The restaurant feels like a family owned, classic joint. It will feel familiar and maybe nostalgic to those used to city-based hot dog/steak restaurants. Highly recommend overall!"

"Been here a couple times. Have not been in a long time. Hot dogs are on point. The deserts are really good as well. I would recommend sharing one rather than what we did but they were all good to try. We have tried 6 different dogs. They are cognizant of gluten free folks like my wife. You can get a nice GLUTEN FREE chili cheese bowl! Owner is very nice. We will be back again much sooner."

"I just went through the drive through but this place is notorious for its chicken salad as it is featured frequently in the tulsa food reviews fb page- this salad also has onions but of course I nixed those. "I am an El Reno native. I grew up on Onion Fried. That's what we call them. Onion Fried. With or without. I can tell if the burger is going to be good or not from the first tap of the spatula. One of the Original Godfather's Otis Bruce ran this joint. It started out at a tiny hallway and grew to what it is today. You can still sit at the counter. But you can also sit at a booth or a table. Every day you will see a group of locals meeting there for breakfast or lunch. It's where the locals eat. The breakfast is a classic diner menu. Eggs cooked on a flat grill next to bacon. Hash-browns too. Quick. And hot. And endless refills of Sprite. They have one of those extra carbonated soda fountains. Feel the burn. You'll want an Onion Fried with Cheese. A basket of fries, well done. And a double coney with extra mustard slaw. Theirs is perfect. The smoky hot dog. The soft steamed bun. The simple brick chili. And the house-made mustard slaw is heaven on a fork. Hidden gems: The breakfast burritos. Lunch Wraps. Huge. And they have dinner choices... Hamburger steaks cooked on the same seasoned flat grill as breakfast. All the sausage seasoning! The fried onion seasoning! And here is the set apart from the other choices. The service is superior. You'll get told hello at least twice if not 5 or 6. The locals nod to one another. We all talk to people in Johnnies. That's just one reason to go. To be seen. The owners are committed and on site and they manage and work the restaurant. It is a true locally owned, locally run and locally managed family place. It is clean. There is clean and there is clean. They are clean. You will not get anything but great service. And you'll get checked on. And checked in again. Have a slice of pie. The choices are listed on the board daily. And pay at the counter. Tip your server. And leave already planning your return. You want to know which one the locals go to... This one."

"Just walking in and smelling the grilled burgers I already knew this place was going to be tasty!! The fries are amazing! The fries have the perfect flaky crust on them! The burgers are seasoned perfectly and taste amazing! I highly recommend this burger joint! Skip Mcdondles and go across the street to Hynsons! You'll get a better quality meal for a fair price!"

"I have visited this place since I was a kid (my mom grew up in Tulsa and she also has visited since she was a kid). I loved their previous places - one was next to a bar with cool old glass bricks. The school desks have been a fixture, no matter where their location has been. These are cool but the average adult may be too big for them. The location on Boulder now has regular chairs and counter seats. As with all food places (restaurant, grocery stores, etc) prices have increased. Their 3 coney and drink special is now over $8. They now offer different specials - like 2 coneys, chips and a drink. They also offer tamales, frito chili pie, chili fries, chili spaghetti, and of course, chili to-go!Back at their small location, I saw a customer bring in a rectangle tupperware container and order about 10 coneys to take home. Their chili is similar to Cincinatti chili (fine grind (no chunks) with a hint of cinnamon or chocolate) and their cheese is also very fine (more crumbled than shreds)"

"Ate here today for the first time and I must confess it is not bad! I wish there were more Coney Island places in Edmond closer to our house like Jakes. My son also enjoyed the food. The menu is very simple but still offer a nice selection of different coneys for everyone. In addition to coneys they have frito chili pie and nachos. You can get 1-4 coneys per combo or mix and match any of the combos.We had four coneys between the three of us and a frito chili pie. I thought everything was delicious. Service was quick and friendly. This is a great place for a quick bite. We will definitely be back."

"Lets go for coneys! Ok which one? What are you talking about there is only one place for Coneys! That's pretty much how it goes when for this spot, everything is always done perfect. No asking if the chili has too much salt or wondering if you get a nasty mess of grease. So you know if you get it on the do or if you get it in the three way you are set. They have the old school classic squeeze cheese so you know that is going to be good. The chili dog with squeeze cheese is the go to satisfy you, the only thing that could make this place better is if the had a food truck that was parked at your favorite bar!"

Then, just because he can... he adds a slice of ham!The fries are fresh cut, skin on deep fried goodness that reminds me of fries from the California burger chain called In & Out.But, be prepared to drop $15 for a burger, fries, drink and tip. A little pricey but worth it. The reason for only 4 stars is the to go cup size... It is tiny! I got about 3 blocks down the road and had to stop at QT for another Dr. Pepper."

It always seems that it family when you are there, everyone visits with everyone and it is a good time. Usually once a month they do Indian tacos and they are wonderful!! My go to is the #2, 2 coneys, chips and a drink for $4.99. Can't beat the price and it is always delicious."

"I stopped in for lunch today at Carl's Coney Island on Southwest boulevard. I ordered 3 of their delicious coney's and absolutely loved them! They have a full menu of coney's, frito pie, tamales, 3 way chili, chips, soda pop, and desserts. The staff is fantastic! They are all very friendly and love to serve delicious food. There is plenty of seating and the restaurant is nicely decorated. There is also plenty of parking out front. You get quick service at Carl's, so you definitely have time to squeeze in lunch at this outstanding restaurant."

"In town to visit a friend and needed a quick bite and this place hit the spot. The coney is a little small on the size but for the price you paid it really ain't bad. Me and hubby both had a chilly dog and a kraut dog, he also had drink and chips and the bill came up to less than 7 bucks. You can't beat that. The bun is soft, the dog is juicy but the chilly could use a little more kick. We came on a Saturday afternoon and there's only one girl who's doing everything and she's really sweet. Nice atmosphere, wouldn't mind coming back again!"
