"We passed this place on the way to work and drove back 15min to check it out. The place has antiques all throughout the restaurant and i like the way they kept up the place, real authentic. Service was great, we had 7 people with us and it was no problem, even ordered a togo for someone stuck at work. Food was really good, the beef brisket was moist and tender, something thats a rare find for me. The pulled pork was really good too, it wasn't smothered in sauce which i found was better because you can choose what sauce you want and how much.Someone even wanted to order a slab of ribs and have them ship it to them.Overall, this place was great."
"My first time trying and should have tried BBQ, since that is their brand. I love catfish and always looking for a new place, so did that. I won't say it was bad, but, it was just okay. It was little fingers and you got plenty. The hushpuppies were undercooked and raw in center and not something I will order again. The two sides did not meet my hopes. The baked beans, not what I would order again, they were almost good, but needed to have a little sugar for this southern girl. The loaded baked potato was chopped potatoes with cheese, bacon and something that made it funky to taste, not sure what it was, but they have created their own version of loaded bp and it is not mine. I did not finish the sides or the hushpuppies and am not left with any desire to return. I paid 19.00 plus tip for some catfish with not so good tarter sauce."

"Always worth the 10 hour drive once a year from Chicago! Love the food, freshness and taste. Always friendly staff! Add a extra pulled pork sandwich for the drive to Dallas! Yummy!"
"Ribs are to die for. Chicken meat falls of the bone. Great flavor and big portions. The guys are super friendly and accommodating. We are definitely coming back whenever we are back in the area."
"If you're looking for a good barbecue spot in Stillwater, this is the place to go! Casual and family friendly, Smokin' Joes delivers on the promise their title brings: that perfect smoky flavor you want in your meat. The prime rib and the ribs are melt in your mouth delicious.Interestingly enough, the brisket wasn't super impressive when I had dinner there, but I took it home and the reheated leftovers were really good.Make sure you try their banana pudding because it is scrumptious."
"While visiting Branson, Missouri, we decided to try Gettin' Basted after seeing its fantastic reviews and it did not disappoint!SERVICE: 5/5The service was excellent! Our server was quick, attentive, and friendly, checking in to make sure we were enjoying our meal. The staff's hospitality really enhanced our dining experience.FOOD: 4/5We ordered the Wagyu brisket with mac and cheese and corn brûlée. The sides were flavorful and paired beautifully with the brisket. The mac and cheese was rich and creamy, while the corn brûlée added a unique touch of sweetness. As for the brisket, it had a great smoky flavor and was tender, though slightly on the dry side. Fortunately, the provided sauce complemented it well and helped balance the texture."
"We love this place when we are in the area! We hope it stays open and continues to grow. The BBQ is really good, the side are fantastic and the staff is super friendly! Give it a try, I don't think you'll be disappointed."
"I like to read the negative reviews and I am constantly amazed by how picky some people are. We are from Austin, Texas where there is a plethora (that means many for those who are vocabulary challenged) of Bbq restaurants.First, there are very few places, anywhere that have brisket this good for as little money as you pay for a pound of brisket. Some of the negative reviews note the lack of smoke flavor. I disagree with those reviews. Some places have an overwhelming smoke flavor in their meat that takes away from the brisket itself. Bubba's has a good mild smoke flavor that does not overwhelm but complements the meat.I am a brisket and sausage man so admittedly I did not try any of the pork. The spicy sausage was very good. I have never had dry brisket here and LOVE the spicy bbq sauce. As far as the wait in the drive thru, it does occasionally take a while but in the 8-10 times I have been there I have never waited more than 15 minutes. Common sense tells you that there are certain times that are busier than others, such as noon, so why not just time it right? The restaurant employees can't be responsible when customers have large orders that take longer than usual.Overall, this place is great and has very good brisket at very low prices. I'm a regular customer now."
"Okie joes is a local BBQ joint in the middle of Stilwell. They're pretty reliable, I've only had a few instances of a wrong order in the years I have ordered from there. They have built out their dining areas, and recently included a patio dining area. The restaurant and bathroom appears clean and tidy. The staff are friendly and helpful, and now have a drive thru take out area. The super okie potato is super yummy, I love pulled pork and hot link. They use Mountain View brand hot links, which are always delicious. The lack of stars is due to their lack of social distancing or masking during the COVID-19 pandemic. They never mask, even though they're in close proximity to numerous patrons a day (which rarely mask either). I used to come by about once a week on my lunch break, but I've only been back a couple times this year."
"As seen in True Detective Season 3! This place is just such a delight, and I cannot wait to go back. Ronda's is a bbq shop in South Fayetteville with a bar top and small section of beer and wine. Known as "The Sawhorse" in True Detective Season 3, Ronda's definitely has an old school Arkansas vibe. If taxidermy offends you, this is not the place to go. The walls are concrete, and there are old bar relics decorating the restaurant to accompany the taxidermy. I loved the staff! The waitress was friendly and prompt and made sure my Diet Coke was always full. The cook chatted with me a bit, too, and was really nice. I ordered the sampler plate so I could try as much as possible. Cannot say enough good things about the smoked ham, y'all. Life changing. I even liked the baked beans, and I usually HATE baked beans. Coleslaw was good balanced - not too much sauce, not too sweet. The brisket and pulled pork and were fine, but it was the smoked ham that stole the show. I want to try the ribs next time. Getting in and out of the parking lot was really easy. The restaurant is on the South side of town, so it's a place to stay put instead of going bar hopping. There's a small stage for music.Great addition to Fayetteville, can't wait to go back."
"Oscars's was a pleasant surprise for a great meal. We were downtown shopping and ran across this place and decided to give it a try since it looked like a popular local BBQ spot. We are from Texas and would like to consider ourselves BBQ officianados. Let me tell you this place would give any of our Texas BBQ joints a run for their money! We had the baby back ribs and meaty beans. We both had a half rack and could only eat half of ours, so had enough for lunch the next day. It was truly delicious. They have made a new customer anytime we are in Branson."
"I have to up my review from my last visit. Service was super friendly from the start. We had a large party of nine and were seated pretty immediately. We ordered the pimento crab dip and it was really good. It's served with tortilla chips and after we ran out, our waitress did bring us some more without prompting. (Be aware that if you check in, you get a free app!)We ordered everything from burgers to salads to sandwiches and BBQ. (We did have one vegetarian in the crowd and know that there's not a lot of options here but she was able to piece something together.) Our drinks were refilled promptly.Food takes a while to get out here and we knew that going in. In fact, we had a few hours to kill before heading to the airport to drop off family. It's a great place to people watch or just take in the lake views. My meatloaf sandwich was excellent and I will order it again. Those that had the pulled pork weren't greatly impressed. The salads were devoured.Again, I do have to brag on our waitress who kept drinks filled, updated us on food status and was very friendly."

I got a combo meal, the brisket was pretty dry, the sausage was pretty good, the ribs were marginal at best. The service was pretty good. For the price I paid, I would not go back again

The establishment was very clean and the staff was pleasant.First, the good. A very good selection on the menu. My wife had the bologna sandwich lunch deal with onion rings. She said it tasted like a bologna sandwich, nothing spectacular. The onion rings were very thinly sliced and had good flavor and nice batter, but lacked substance. She said they would be great if they were cut thicker. She ordered a Diet Pepsi and said it didn't really taste right. She said the syrup/carbonated water ratio was probably off.I had the BBQ Frito pie, with point brisket and I thought it was very good. The sweetness of the BBQ sauce, with fatty brisket, cheese, and the saltiness of the Fritos pleased my palette. The beans included in the Frito pie were average at best. It would be better without the beans. I, also had the onion rings and had the opinion on the size of the rings. We probably won't come back here as we were just visiting Wagoner as we passed through. YMMV.

This is by far some of the best barbecue I have ever eaten. I ordered the rib dinner with fries and onion rings. There was enough food for three people, and I got all that plus a drink for $19.21. Not only was the food impressive, the dining area and kitchen (which you can see behind the counter) were very clean. The young man who took my order had a smile on his face, and he fully answered my questions while maintaining a pleasant demeanor. In short, he seemed happy that I was there. I got my order to go, and I sat at the counter and watched the cook prepare my food. He was clean cut and looked like a former college football player. I could tell he enjoyed his work. He packaged up my food, put it in a bag, and hand delivered it to me with a smile on his face. Good barbecue is hard to find. Great barbecue is at Brown Bag BBQ, about two miles north of Tahlequah on HWY 82. It is on the end of a building that also houses a dispensary, but the entrances to each are far apart. You will see the sign. Enjoy!

Really appreciate this place being open on Labor Day, when a certain competitor we intended to eat at was closed. The brisket was absolutely delicious, and they weren't stingy with it either. Good BBQ sauces too. I order fried okra any time I can get it, and here it was as good as it gets. The pinto beans and a hot link were both good, but next time I think I will experiment with other menu items.Never had this happen before, but when I spit out what I thought was a bit of bone, it was a piece of my plastic fork. Looked at my fork and the recovered piece, and some was still missing; I had swallowed part of it. An upgrade of the plasticware is the only change I would make at Smokin' Joe's.I like the cash discount much better than a credit card surcharge. They are two sides of the same coin, but the surcharge folks are charging you more money than the posted price, whereas the cash discount folks are charging you less.Last and least, I was delighted to see a poster for my favorite Western, "The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly", on a wall. That was about the time I realized this is my new favorite BBQ place in Stillwater.

The name of this BBQ joint has me confused. It is spelled "Above P@R." Check the signs. The restaurant's theme is a play on golf. No barn tin, farm implements, road signs, not even a picture of a cow inside the restaurant. A golf themed, side of the road, rural country BBQ restaurant sure seems odd to me. And instead of PAR, it is P@R? And then, Above P@R? Wouldn't you want to be below par. Isn't that how golf works? The goal is to come in under par? That means you are good, right? I'm sure that there were hours of thought that went into the name, and it all makes sense to someone. Just never mind, lets focus on the food. It is a clean, simple little cinder block building on the south side of highway 64, west of Tahlequah. Nothing fancy. The menu covers the BBQ essentials: ribs, brisket, sausage, pulled pork and an Oklahoma favorite bologna. The usual sides, mandatory fried okra, etc. etc. and a surprise, normally only appearing during your family holiday get togethers, Deviled Eggs! Yep, Deviled Eggs! My wife opted for the Brisket Sandwich with fried okra and potato salad. Brisket here is excellent. Tender, lean with a thick smokey bark. I had the jalapeno sausage, baked beans and the potato salad. Great tasting, smokey sausage. The potato salad here is exceptional. Not the typical mustard potato salad, like you pick up at Walmart in the deli section. I'd guess that Above P@R's potato salad is derived from a secret family recipe. It is tasty. The bake beans tasted like they spent some time in the smoker with the brisket. A nice touch of smoke. The helpings of the sides are generous. Check the pictures. We couldn't finish them all. A selection of BBQ sauce is on the table. The hot is perfect!!!Great friendly service from a feisty young lady working today. My receipt said it was Christina. Most BBQ joints are "par" for the course. "Above P@R BBQ" is very good! So, in golf terms, being better, it is below par. That made sense, right? EAT HERE! The food is fantastic. Be sure to try the golf ball challenge. You might win your meal!

We stopped on our way into Roger's because this place is right off the highway, you can't miss the shack and sign! Now, I must say, this sandwich is hearty. The bun, that looked to be ciabatta at first, is large and can hold up to this very large portion of pulled pork. I appreciated the lunch option of a sandwich, pickle and chips and again, the portion was fantastic. The unfortunate thing is that the meat has no flavor aside from your standard pork; combine that with the super dry dense bun and the experience is bland and boring. The bbq sauce is also unremarkable, tho it did help considerably with the overall flavor of the sandwich. The beans felt like canned Bushes Beans with some sugar and spices added and we're not great.

"I'm so glad weve given them another try. I'm mad at myself for waiting so long to go back. I never had any complaints on the food. It's always been delicious. I take the drive and get hot food fast. They've got daily deals for great prices. My favorites are the chop baker or the pork sandwich. You will not be disappointed! MOUTH WATERING!"
"Very nice and friendly service, large drinks actual metal utensils, amazing BBQ sauce, decent prices... what's not to like! I had the 3 Meat Combination Plate with sliced brisket, pulled pork, extra hot sausage, sides of potato salad and baked beans plus buttery toast... all delicious! Way too much food and I finished every bite!"
"Good solid food experience. You won't leave hungry. I had the smoked brisket philly and we shared some loaded fries. Food was great. I asked what kind of beer they had and he listed off all the cheap light beers out there. So I picked the least offensive. After we got our food I thought I saw someone with a decent beer in hand. So not sure if I just didn't know the secret language or difference between beer and Beer. So that was kind of odd. Otherwise a good experience."
"It is a clean, cozy, unassuming diner. The service was prompt and polite. We came for breakfast twice. The coffee was hot and strong, it hit the spot on two rainy cold mornings. We tried the western omelet (with home fries) which was fluffy, full and delicious. And we also tried two eggs, hash browns and bacon, perfectly cooked.Recommend this diner."
"BBQ was wonderful. Liked the cole slaw as well. First visit and only got food to go but wanting to go back soon and eat there. Menu was extensive, helpful staff, clean and comfortable restaurant. With welcoming atmosphere."
"Classic hole-in-the-wall bbq restaurant. The bbq is delish and at a great price. It's very close to downtown, but just off the beaten path so you usually have to hear about it from someone else before you find out about it. Very close to the bike trail and Center street, it's located right by Geraldi's....just writing this review is making me hungry. Gotta go get me some!"
"A true if you're not looking for it, you'll miss it place. Some coworkers suggested this place for lunch. I had the 2 meat sandwich, with green beans and water. You order and they bring your food to you. The staff was friendly, service was excellent, the green beans looked bland but were so good. The chopped brisket was ok and my chopped ribs were dry. My coworker got the chicken and it looked good so I will go back for that. I also got an amazing looking brownie to go for my husband. He said it was good. If you eat it in the restaurant they will heat it up and serve it with Ice cream. The price was good, just be mindful of the hours and days the restaurant is closed."
"This was a fun little place we visited while in Yukon. Service was excellent. Fast, friendly. Food was pretty good and seemed to be fairly priced. Nice serving sizes too. Not a lot of BBQ sauce options for a BBQ place, but I was happy with the one I had. Definitely try the fried pickles!"
"We loved this place. I have only done a hot pot one other time, and the experience was ok. It was not like this one, where here it is clean, modern, and hip. I wanted to make sure I got the full experience so I wanted the extra $5 hot pot experience (added to the lunchtime price of $21.99). There are a variety of hot pot soups for your meats, seafood, and veggies, many choices of what you want in your pot.All I have to say is, it was fun! My friend and I felt the meal was rather healthy, AND delicious! My hot pot was a little on the spicier side (Tom kha), so maybe I'll do some other soup next time. We talked the afternoon away after trying several new twists to put on the grill and in our individual hot pots. The servers were so friendly and on top of things. They will replace the grill after a while. Definitely we are coming back. We loved it!"
"Super friendly folks and tasty BBQ! Try the loaded fries! Only thing I wish they'd do differently is have some open hours on the weekends because sometimes I'm just CRAVING their pulled pork sandwiches on a Saturday night!"
"The wait in line is worth it... shared the meat locker with the table. The ribs and brisket were amazing will go back for sure."
"Best Texas Brisket in NWA. Nice owners. You don't need sauce but it is the perfect complement to the meat. Homemade ready and zesty mac and cheese is sooooo creamy and yummy. Baked beans have brisket in them. Not too sweet. Just right. Highly recommend. Greenland just past the Fayetteville airport S on the right. They even serve breakfast Brisket pull test was exceptional"
"Great service! Came in at 5:30, place filled up as we ate.I got the fish tacos. Tasty with lime, coleslaw, bbq and ranch. Hubby got two meat dinner with fries and Mac and cheese.Prices scared me but after we ate, it was worth it. For a two meat dinner $20, the fish tacos $14, two extra sides $3 each, and a kids meal $7, it was $55.13 after tax, before tip. (We always get waters.)I'd come here again! Quiet enough to talk but bar-ish feel and music playing. Pirate ship was cool! Kids had fun!THANK YOU!"
"This place is so good. We feasted. We all shared the loaded fries with pulled pork and beef. Meals we tried the catfish & also the ribs. My daughter got the chicken fingers. Everything was to die for! So good. The music was good. Service was great. The waitress was amazing. We will be back!"
"Best BBQ around with friendly service. Huge menu with reasonable prices. Clean, up kept. My favorite BBQ place!!"
"My goodness this was good! I was at home and craving BBQ and got on Facebook and saw the hours and location. I've had this BBQ before at a high school football game about 5 years ago and it was great. When I pulled up I was greeted warmly and the owner commented on my T-shirt (it was a screen print of 1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass) we chatted while someone inside made my food. The service was quick, my brisket was chopped while I waited and all my food was hot. I don't like sauce and declined it. I got the 2 meat sandwich and it came with 1/2lb total of two meats and baked beans and bread. I am not baked bean fan. When I got home I happily ate the meat and bread and tasted the beans. They were good but again I don't like them. The next day I warmed up the rest of the brisket and mixed it with the baked beans. IT WAS AMAZING!!!! I will be eating here again and again and getting more of those beans and tender ribs and brisket."
"I love BBQ. I especially love BBQ where the meat has been smoked perfectly and doesn't need to be hidden by gobs of sauce. And that's what the BBQ Shack is all about. Seriously, it is the best smoked chicken in Oklahoma. In fact, I went in there last Tuesday for lunch, and when they said they had already sold out of chicken, I almost wept.Their lunch portions of chicken, turkey, and ribs are all fantastic. The sides are very fresh, and the cobbler for dessert makes the meal feel like your momma did the cookin' for you. There's a nice relish bar if you want some peppers (and occasionally I've seen pickled okra in there), but the real treat here is the meat. If you're driving through town and want some delicious BBQ, go to the Shack."
"What a find! I had no idea this place existed but I'm so glad I found it. We've recently been exploring lunch options around the area as my wife just started a new job that way. We've found a few spots but this is by far the winner!I almost drove right past it. Building is large and the parking lot was empty when we arrived. One person exited with a carry out order, we entered. When you first walk in you're on the patio, then inside another set of doors to a cash register. The lady took our order (two brisket potatoes and two waters $20). We weren't sure whether we could dine in or not, but there were plenty of empty tables so we sat. Soon after about the restaurant filled up with patrons and out food was delivered to the table wrapped up togo. We followed the lead of the other patrons and opened our meals and enjoyed! The potato was cooked perfectly throughout and topped with a generous portion of brisket, cheese, ranch, and bbq sauce. There was also a small salad and two pieces of Texas toast! We both are every bite. We will definitely be back soon!"
"Visiting from California and popped into this place on a Friday night. It was busy and they have a ton of great reviews so I was hoping it would be good. We were all very impressed! We were bummed they ran out of ribs but that was okay because the brisket was amazing! The BBQ sauce was super tasty. We also shared some pulled pork which was also delicious. This place really hit the spot."
"Wright's BBQ: A BBQ Lover's ParadiseAs Kansas City BBQ enthusiasts, we were a bit skeptical when our California cousins suggested a BBQ joint in Arkansas. But, hey, you can't say no to good BBQ! We arrived right at opening time and were surprised to see a line already forming. We ordered a variety of dishes to share, including the 3-meat combo with beans and mac and cheese, and a side of mashed potatoes. The pulled pork was a standout - tender, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The brisket was also impressive, though perhaps not quite KC-style.But the real star of the show was the mashed potatoes. They were creamy, buttery, and had a secret ingredient that elevated them to another level. We were so engrossed in our meal that we didn't even notice our cousin sneaking bites of our mashed potatoes! The atmosphere at Wright's BBQ is casual and inviting. While the extended wait times can be a bit of a drawback, we highly recommend arriving early to avoid the crowds. If you're ever in Northwest Arkansas, Wright's BBQ is a must-visit. It's a great place to experience delicious BBQ and create lasting memories."
"I had a few BBQ places bookmarked when I visited Tulsa. This place wasn't my first choice. But it should have been.My first choice didn't work out. I was in line waiting to put in my order at the other place when a guy came out from the back with free samples of their ribs. I thought, Wow, how cool is this place? Handing out free ribs! This place kicks ass!As the worker worked his way down the line, I was fervently hoping he'd still have some left on his tray when he got to me. When he was three people away and I saw that he was going to have enough.Next thing I know he's handing me a rib. I realized right then I was in the wrong place. The rib he handed me was a Baby Back Rib. I didn't realize until just that moment that that other restaurant only sold Baby Back ribs. I'm not about Baby Back Ribs. If you are, that's great. I'm just not. When I want ribs, I greatly prefer spare ribs. You know, St Louis cut ribs.I ate the free sample and I have to admit it was absolutely delicious. It very possibly was the best Baby Back Rib I ever had. But there was no way I was going to eat a mess of them when I really had my heart set on some Spare Ribs.So I bailed on that other place and drove over here. Best move I ever made!Oakhart BBQ does Spare Ribs just exactly like I like them. The ribs here were absolutely perfect. Best ribs I've had in the last 40 years. No exaggeration. Those ribs were so good that I purposefully slowed down as I was eating them so I could savor every moment of the experience. Every bite was smoky pork perfection. The ribs had just the right amount of meat, and the meat had just the right degree of toothiness, tender, but not soft. Easy to bite off the bone, but not "falling off the bone." Just exactly perfect.I was absolutely ecstatic. And what made the meal even more remarkable were the sides. Most BBQ places have really lame sides. I absolutely hate the mediocre potato salad or weird watery coleslaw or beans that taste like they came out of a can kinds of sides you find all too frequently at typical BBQ joints. At most places I just throw the sides away barely touched. But the Oakhart BBQ sides are great. The BBQ beans were among the best I've ever had. They boasted a real smoky flavor and they were loaded with pieces of brisket. When I say loaded, I mean loaded. You could probably fish out enough pieces of brisket to make a sandwich if you wanted to. I couldn't believe how good those beans were. Damn!I also tried the Cheesy Grits. Another excellent side. They were the perfect compliment to the beans. With the beans and the ribs, it was a particularly satisfying combination.Since my first visit I've been back again. Although the ribs weren't quite as good the second time, it was through no fault of Oakhart BBQ. All ribs are not created equal. Some racks of ribs just aren't as good as some others. It's kind of the luck of the draw. But even though the ribs weren't stellar my 2nd visit, everything else was excellent. And I tried the Banana Pudding. OOooo-weeee that pudding is good. You gotta get the pudding! They've got some great customer service here at Oakhart. The guy in charge of the meat was very helpful, showing me the ribs and answering questions. The cashiers were super friendly and efficient.Mikey C says: See you next time I'm in town, Oakhart BBQ"
"Stopped here on a Sunday hungry for Bbq and this place was delicious. Ordered the rib sandwich oh my it was very tasty as was the Mac n cheese. This lil food truck is making some mean Bbq. The ribs, pulled pork were excellent. I always try to sopport the local businesses."
"How can I not give them 5 stars. The staff takes care of the military. The owner saw my hat and comped my lunch. Not that I was looking for a freebe but what a nice gesture! The food was good and the tea was sweet.Thank You"
