Big Boss Noodle and Tea

Came here to try and it was a bit difficult to find. The gps made us go to the wrong area but had get close to the dot lol it use to be the old Bambu dessert in the plaza at the end. Came in and there was a sauce bar/ sides in the front. You order the food first and grab water/utensil. Got the spicy wontons for appetizer - sauce is light not really spicyBraise rib noodles- hand pulled noodles was so good! The rib meat was so tender it fell off the bone. Mapo tofu was okay. It's different Prob come back to try other things

I like the beef braised noodle soup from this spot, authentic taste and the broth was aromatic and full of beefy flavor. The noodles didn't disappoint-springy and chewy. The meat was so tender and well-seasoned. I was not fond of the dumplings-quite bland. Lastly, the service was welcoming and friendly. The owner kept checking on us to see if everything was good. We will come back for other items on the menu and try their teas.

Big Boss Noodle & Tea is located on N Military Ave of Asian District, previously Northern Noodle House. It offers Chinese noodle soups, dumplings, boba milk tea drinks, and a few other diverse food. It is mainly a self-service eatery, similar to other noodle & tea places. You order at the counter and pick up the food at the counter when ready. Condiments are available at the station with no additional fees, including sauces and various pickled products. The pickled bamboo shoots were AMAZING. Restaurant looks nice after the modifications of the old place. The braised beefs were soft and tender, the best meat option for your noodle soup, entree #1 on the menu. I had the beef combination noodle soup. The broth was light, not as rich and flavorful as I would like. Again braised beefs were so good. I had the brown sugar fresh milk (hot) for the boba drink. It was good, but I would recommend cold over hot. Cold tastes better. An appetizer, 3 noodle soups, and 2 boba milk tea drinks were over $70 for an average of over $20 per person. Taking the food, cost, and value into consideration, I would give Big Boss Noodle &Tea 3.5-4 stars range.

I wasn't sure I could find anything here that I liked but went ahead and tried it anyways. I had a lot of questions for the worker and he answered them and was very helpful. I liked how they had the little bar with extra ingredients you could add to your dish. Overall this was a good experience.

This place is finally open (soft opening) and they serve good noodles, dumplings and boba milk tea drinks (their XL is quite tall). Jassy is the owner and she said they are trying out different approaches and tweaking their menu before officially opening in early December. Relatively spacious atmosphere with plenty of tables. Also in the back they have one of those walls with wings you can take a picture in front of. Also used to be Northern Noodle House. They also have a spices/sauce bar where you can add condiments, etc. Recommended!

This is an amazing restaurant!!!! I had the #5 Pork with fermented vegetables and hand pulled noodles, so so good! The passion fruit tea is also wonderful and had fruit in the bottom of it! The folks there were very patient in explaining the menu and sauce bar. Also, the restaurant is well decorated, clean and very cozy. Highly recommend!!! I didn't attach a photo because I started eating as soon as I received my food. ‍

I love this place! Food is solid. Noodles chewy. Brisket is tender. Boba drinks are delicious. And the service is very friendly! I love what they have done with the inside too.

Nice little restaurant, great service, good food, loves their pickled cabbage as side dishes. I think the owner is Christian, I love to support Christian business.

Food was really good, service was very friendly and nice. I love the self-service side and sauce bar! The ambiance was really laid back. The drinks were my favorite part of this visit

Restaurant was already busy at opening time (11:00 am). Ordered & paid at the counter. Noodles were served quickly but we had to wait for the boba to be made, thus smoothie was served when we almost finished eating. Staff always friendly.
