Belle Isle Restaurant & Brewery

Nice restaurant with great entree selections, and also where they shot several scenes of "Tulsa King." Service is also excellent, and the internal ambience is very classy and dimly-lit. Check it out!

We arrived on Saturday but early (5pm) for dinner. There were only a few people there at that time but the place was full and hopping by the time we left. All the folks coming in seemed to know each other giving the restaurant a very local ambiance. The noise level became energetic but not intrusive. Our table of five ordered the spinach and artichoke dip for an appetizer. The dip was creamy and delicious and was served with small rounds of toast with cheese! Yum!!! They also brought a basket of chips with salsa. The salsa has a nice flavor and I thought it was perfect. Some in our group found it too spicy. Is too spicy a thing?!? lol One friend and I had the chicken fried chicken with fries. I'm including my blurry picture in the hope that you can see the uniquely shaped fries. My friend had the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes. He raved about the mashed potatoes but sadly I didn't get a taste. We've tried chicken fried steak/chicken all around town and we deemed these equal to any other place in town. Some of those places are charging twice what we paid. High quality food doesn't have to break the bank. Delicious food is served here. My husband had the tacos. He's a fish taco man but chose one fajita chicken and the other taco of pulled pork. He inhaled them so quickly that I didn't get the opportunity to steal a bite. The shells are soft and fluffy flour with a great texture. The last guest had the raspberry chicken which was my second choice. The raspberry sauce is described as spicy so he asked for it on the side. You can see the containers in the photo. It's a guilt free and healthy dinner and large enough to satisfy a hearty appetite. He said he would order it again without hesitation. I wish I could remember our server's name. She was delightful, fun, attentive and played along with our jokes. The food was served piping hot and brought out en mass. Two weeks ago I spent over $200 for dinner for two. Our bill on this night was $28!!! This restaurant is in 50 Penn just across the street from Penn Square Mall. The menu is huge with enough choices to satisfy everyone. They have wine and a full service bar so you're not giving that up by dining here. We hadn't been in awhile but we're returning sooner than later. I urge everyone to give them a shot.

This was I believe my third or fourth lunch at Belle Isle. The food is always better than average and the service is top shelf. The main reason I started going there was their patio being cigar friendly which has become more and more rare. Today.. I had the pizza. Specifically the Joey. It was fantastic! Im writing this at 3:42am still thinking about the pizza I had for lunch. Best in town and ive had virtually every one in town

Not many patrons when I arrived, but that quickly changed. There's a sign posted on the door that there are fewer servers so the wait time might be a little longer. I'm good with that. Thanks for the heads up! My server Rob was pleasant, timely and visibly busy. My pick was the veggie flatbread, added chicken sans the arugula. It was incredible. I would recommend, and will likely return to have it again. Maybe call ahead for a to go next time around. It was a bit chilly for my liking. The hot lunch helped. Can't close this review without at least a mention of the music. Classic soft rock. A little on the louder side but not enough to drown out your conversation. Cool. Overall a positive experience.

Nice lunch stop! Their Unsweet tea is strong and nicely flavored. The Chicken Penne & Broccoli Soup is creamy and tasty!

This place always lets me down. I've been here a few times now since my husband's office is upstairs in 50 Penn Place. The food is always bland, there's always a teenager waiting on us who can't quite get everything right the first 2 times, the bathrooms are so tiny with no changing table, and it's just blah. This last time we were there with a large group and I ordered the theta burger which in the past has been decent. This time is was so charred I just sent it back and didn't ask for anything else. It was also lacking everything that made a theta burger a theta burger. When the ticket came they charged us for the burger so we had to take time and explain that we weren't paying for it since I sent it back. The waitress had no idea how to fix the ticket so we had to wait on a manager to assist. All the while we had never gotten any refills on drinks and it was just a huge let down. 2 stars for VERY friendly people who work there.

Very good, good variety and service. Old school atmosphere, we like that. Romantic. Good music too. Pizza is very good and meMexican on the menu is good.

Service-terrible. Ordered sandwich. They left out half of the sandwich filling. Asked for bacon to be well done......bacon was not done. There is more to this story of how it was handled. after coming here for years...not likely to come back.

My honey pepper bacon burger was incredibly filling and delicious. The fries are great. Everything is very fresh and hot. Ronda kept my tea topped up and was absolutely lovely during my visit. The prices here can't be beat for local food or happy hour drinks.
