I truly had high hopes coming here for the first time yesterday, I was looking forward to every moment. Unfortunately, I ended up being reminded of how important it is to not set high standards sometimes just so it's easier when you get let down. (yes play the worlds smallest violin )I'll start with layout of the place. It took me longer than I would've liked to find the door to go inside lol. I feel dumb saying that but i promise it wasn't just me. A did a little turn around, started looking at the side of the building & I noticed another lady doing the same thing. She looked at me and asked me where the door was and I looked back at her & told her I didn't know, that it was my first time here so we looked for it together since it was also her first time there. I think a simple "Enter Here" sign would help , not a big deal.I will say the potato salad & Mac and cheese were phenomenal. I would maybe even reconsider coming back here just for those two things to be honest. Incredible taste in both sides. The butter sweet potato was underwhelming to say the least. It was just a sweet potato , I don't think they even but the butter on it.The thing that sent me running away was the most heartbreaking - the meat. As I sit here trying to type this and recap my experience from last night, it really does make me nauseous and a bit regretful & frustrated that I didn't call immediately & ask for a refund of some sort. This was the worst turkey I have ever eaten anywhere. I wish I was kidding you , I wish I never had that experience. Not sure if it was just a bad occasion but I will never come here again because of the quality of the meat we were served. I got it to go which was probably my mistake but I expected more from this place. The meat basically looked and tasted raw. I don't even understand how that happens when usually the worst turkey I have is like over done or too dry but THIS was 10 times worse. In my mouth, it had the texture of like raw slimy chewy chicken/ham and it kinda looked like ham too. The color of the turkey was frightening. It was blotches of pinks and whites. The whole thing was honestly just disgusting and i just had to apologize to my partner for getting us dinner that night. It was so embarassingI think it's important to always try to honor the quality of the food you are serving to people, even if it's to go, because I trusted that they would give me something really good, I was starving that day and had my last 40 bucks that I decided was going to be all worth it here and was incredibly wrong. Yall ruined my evening that night and will never forgive yall . I felt sick that evening and I still feel sick now Anyways the last thing I will say is that to me, personally, it's very off putting to see a huge Israel and American flag in the middle of the parking lot in a bbq place in Oklahoma. I just find the setting odd. This is a personal preference of course but just be aware that this is what the place looks like and supports I suppose.I was going to drive away the moment I saw that in the parking lot because I'd rather stay away from that type of ambiance. I should've taken it as a sign because I was originally going to go to Hanks and that's exactly what I should've done but I risked it and was let down. I will not be coming back but hope everyone has a better experience than IHANKS is the way to go, best turkey I have ever had in my entire life

My favorite BBQ restaurant in town! Ribs are meaty and hardly any fat, if any at all, and smoked just right...bite off the bone tender!! Their fries are crispy and the corn on the cob is always perfect! Inside is a little dark, but plenty of seating and OU memorabilia! The patio out back is very nice when the temperature allows. The food is consistently cooked and high quality. They don't skimp on anything. I've been going there for years and look forward to many more years! You order at the front and the food is brought out to you. Service is excellent and staff very friendly. Drinks are self serve.

My husband, our little girl dog and I decided to Bedlam BAR-B-Q for an early dinner, a little before 5 pm, this past Tuesday. When we walked in, we were greeted by the employee behind the register. The employee behind the counter told us that the outdoor seating is dog friendly. After looking over the menu board, we ended up ordering:Loaded Baked Potato, $12 prior to tax- The loaded baked potato comes with your choice of meat, I ended up picking chicken and requested that the butter, sour cream and chives be placed on the side. I also was given a free side of fresh sliced onions, a pickle spear and pepper as well. The potato already had the cheese on the potato but was only semi melted. Honestly, I was a bit disappointed with the temperature of my potato and wished it was served hot, especially since the cheese wasn't fully melted. The amount of chicken on this loaded baked potato was quite generous and was nice and tender. I shared my potato with my husband and a small amount with my little girl (just the potato part). Brisket Combo Plate, $22 prior to tax- This plate comes with 2 sides, in which my husband picked collared greens and tabouli salad. My husband always likes to choose collards greens at a barbecue place if it is on the menu. He liked it and I thought it was prepared well, not too sour and the vegetables were soft and tender. I don't normally like tabouli salad because people who prepare it usually use too much lemon juice, making it very sour. This salad though was actually just fine, but my husband didn't like it (honestly, he only picked it because he wanted to add more fiber to his meal). The brisket was tender and good but we have had better. His meal also came with onions, a pickle spear and pepper. He also had a thick slice of white bread that was toasted. -------------------------------- (Total= $36.93 after tax, prior to tip)I was actually surprised that our food was brought out about 10 minutes after we had ordered. Also the outdoor seating area is very nice. Parts of the outdoor seating is covered as well if you happen to come out here on a sunny day. I was also surprised that this restaurant only had 1 unisex restroom. The restroom had ran out of toilet paper when I had happened to use it (and believe it or not, I actually did have toilet paper in my pocket. Ever since we have been on our trip, my nose has been running so much because of how windy and dusty it has been since we have arrived. So I have been keeping toilet paper in my pocket to blow my nose... TMI, I know). But it did have soap (no paper towels since there was a hand dryer). Service was friendly and appreciated that the employee who took our order had come out later on to check out up on us if we needed anything. Overall, we weren't wowed by the food and would be open to trying another barbecue joint in OKC.

One of the highest rated restaurants in Oklahoma City, this place was a must go to for my family and I during our first visit to Oklahoma City. We were visiting OKC Zoo on our first day in OKC on a Sunday, and after the zoo, we decided to go to Bedlam BAR-B-Q for some lunch. We arrived around 2:30, and luckily, the team at Bedlam Bar-B-Q had a lot of table seating open, as their restaurant closes at 3:00 P.M on a Sunday. The restaurant was decked out in decorations for the Holiday. There was a large festive Holiday tree inside the restaurant.Current Bedlam Bar-B-Q hours are the followingMONDAY - THURSDAY 10:30 ~ 9:00FRIDAY - SATURDAY 10:30 ~ 10:00SUNDAY 11:00 ~ 3:00The menu had a wide range of BBQ items from smoked chicken, hot links, ham, sausage, ribs, and so much more! We had to try a lot of their food out since we were only visiting OKC for the holidays.Order placed at the register!Bedlam Burger: (100% Angus Beef with Bedlam Seasoning) with sautéed onions, cheddar cheese, and curly fries. I opted to replace the curly fries with macaroni cheese instead! $13.00[2 Meats] Pulled Pork & Ribs: Collard Greens, Okra, Texas Toast.Kids Cheeseburger (without the cheese). It was fun hanging out in the restaurant. The wait time was not long for the food, approximately 30 minutes. I had the Bedlam burger, and it was good! The beef patty was huge! The burger was cooked perfectly, not burnt, and it was seasoned wonderfully! It had a ton of flavor! I was not the biggest fan of mac n cheese though. It was spicy, but my husband liked it! My husband enjoyed the pulled pork. It had a lot of flavors; however, the BBQ ribs though didn't have much meat to them. It was really difficult for him to eat. His favorite part of the dish was the Okra! My daughter liked the hamburger and ate all of it!Food was good, but the ambiance is awesome! I would just come back to this restaurant again to hang out! It it a great place!

Incredible BBQ everytime! Service is always up to par and the place is clean so I never feel uncomfortable. They have some of the BEST desserts and a self-serve drink station. There is plenty of seating and the restaurant rests in a cozy and easily accessible spot. I recommend Bedlam to any one who is in search of traditional BBQ, easy seating, and great service.

I honestly cannot praise this place enough and I truly think they're the best barbecue in the OKC metro. The smoked chicken was so perfect it literally fell apart in my mouth. The sweet potato was a delicious surprise as I had never ordered it before! The brisket is always wonderful and my personal favorite. Last but not least, that homemade Mac and cheese mmmI'm glad to see this place is always busy (but not so busy that you want to go somewhere else lol) whenever I arrive. The food is always hot & fresh and the staff is always lovely.

I love this place! Unassuming from the outside, but interestingly the inside is decorated in old cowboy and OSU memorabilia. I had the 2 meat combo brisket and ribs with coleslaw and corn on the cobb sides. Corn on the Cobb was perfect! but the slaw was a little dry and should have a little more dressing. Brisket, amazing and delicious. Use a fork but I loved just pulling it apart with my fingers and savoring how good it was Ribs had a really thick bark to them but they too were delicious fall off the bone, but I only have one for my midnight snack. Service was exceptional with accommodating all my questions and needs. I highly recommend you try their food at least once

I have never had brisket that while eating has made my mouth go dry and having to drink sweet tea in the middle of chewing to make it go down. Not sure if it was because it was extremely slow and cold outside but if the condition of the restaurant also needs some TLC there shouldn't be staples leaving in my sweatshirt with me from the booth. The only good thing was the sweet tea....until the dispensing unit caught a bubble and splashed me in the face. Don't now how this place has 4 stars. When leaving checked out the patio and the walk way has broken steps that move when stepped on. .....owners need to hold their staff accountable or staff needs to hold their owners accountable
