Bamboo

Visiting Pittsburg and asked the hotel clerk for Chinese restaurant recommendation. She suggested this place. Overall good food. Had the super combo special with generals chicken and spicy cashew chicken. Added egg drop soup. Priced pretty reasonably and delivered quickly (25 minutes versus 45-60 minute time quoted when ordering).

Not good. Honestly it all tasted like it was packaged mixes, frozen meat etc. The noodles were just plain noodles. No seasoning, no veggies. We were very underwhelmed and would not go here again. The only good part is service was pretty quick. I gave the leftovers to my chickens. My husband won't eat it and he's typically not a picky guy. Bummer. We wanted to love this.

Daily specials were a perfect way to stay affordable! Clean environment, friendly staff. I usually have a reaction to any Asian food. This was one of 3 exceptions. Everything was well prepped, lots of veggies and enough for leftovers.

After a long day of moving furniture we heard good things about bamboo and it didn't disappoint! We had orange chicken, general Tso's chicken and broccoli stir fry. The flavor was amazing and portions were healthy, I think we all had leftovers for tomorrow.

Was an unplanned visit. Was checking out a pawn shop on same block. Modern and clean décor. Menus is a little confusing at first glance. A revamp would be a plus. I ordered the Spicy Scallion stir fry lunch. Plenty of food for a leftover meal. The egg roll and crème cheese wonton were tasty and crispy. Not much dining space. Looks like the primary focus is pickup business. Will make it back again to try something new.

Always hot and always a must visit when I go home to visit. You consistently have super friendly staff members and put out fantastic food. Great prices along with great food and super service....hard combination to beat. Thank you for being awesome Bamboo!

Just moved to pittsburg kansas sat down with my fiancé and our two daughters cashier was on phone my fiance went to bathroom. Cashier said we take orders up here all nasty like the 8 steps from the register to the table would have killed her. She seemed to have an issue with my blackness and my white fiance. She spoke to him to take our orders. It truly took the Grace of the Almighty in Heaven to keep me from back handing her with the ipad she used to take the orders with. I was so enraged and nauseated i couldn't even eat. I had only been in this town two days. I had not planned on going to jail but this heifer could have caught these hands and this ass whupping today.

Boring and basic is really the only way to describe it. Nothing really has an awful flavor, but nothing is really that good either. Service is always kinda blah, but it has always been friendly. If this place didn't deliver and wasn't cheap, it would be gone already. Fortunately in this cheap college boring town, people want just that. Cheap, boring, and easy.

This is one of the best Chinese places in Pittsburg. I often have the jr sweet & sour lunch special which is more than enough for me. It comes with the entree, rice, spring rolls, and a crab rangoon. Today I tried the lettuce wraps and that is my new favorite dish from there. I have never eaten in the actual store. My co-workers and I have it delivered when we eat Bamboo. That is also why I only gave it 4 stars. We often order 15-30 minutes prior to opening (11am) and it still takes an hour to get our food delivered most of the time. However, I once ordered a 5pm and it got delivered in 20 min. Odd but it is what it is. I do recommend this to family and friends. They also have a location in Joplin, MO. I will try and post a picture of my lettuce wraps with this post.

Garden variety Midwestern American Faux-Chinese restaurant owned and staffed by non-Chinese - I believe the owners are Korean. The delivery drivers are speeding terrors on the road, and evidently their cars don't have turn signals (but they get really good cell reception for yakking while driving-be warned and steer clear).The food, although nothing close to authentic or even Chinese is consistent. Standard offerings, General this, cashew this, spicy that... Always tastes and looks the same, never changing. If only they had something actually Chinese or even Korean on the menu. If only...On a side note, this Pittsburg institution occupies the hallowed space of one of the lost but finest AUTHENTIC Asian restaurants in Pitt. Hunan was a much maligned but revered place that had page after page of real Chinese food and owners/servers willing to take you on a culinary journey. Alas...
