Angus Branch Steakhouse

Small town meets traditional steakhouse. It was awesome. The headline should be "They have a REAL salad bar." You know, the kind with all the pasta salad and different potato salads and cottage cheese and ten dressings galore! Total score. The baked potato was loaded with real bacon; my filet was char broiled to perfection as ordered. But the beat part is their homemade yeast dinner rolls.Whitney was our server - cute as a button and full of southern hospitality. $62 later we were stuffed with a ton of leftovers.

I went here for a surprise birthday party. The place has 2 large rooms that I saw and could accommodate larger parties. I ordered the Caribbean Cowboy for a cocktail drink and it was pretty good. I ordered the filet with Mac and cheese and broccoli. It was all pretty good and met my expectations. They had a salad bar, but I didn't get anything from there. It looked like there were a lot of options though. The food came out in about 4-5 different sections to feed the group. The servers were good and attentive though, very nice. N

Went into the Angus Branch this afternoon 1/14 after church with my Wife. We sat down and waited for a waitress or waiter to start taking our order. We had to call someone over; waiving my hand flagging someone that works there. It then took more then a couple of minutes. Now this is a restaurant my wife an I enjoy after church in the afternoon for lunch. The food seems to be always a delight, and our orders are usually to the "T" on what we order. This however has happened more then ounce. It seems the service is declining or maybe its just us. Who knows?

One word ...... ROACHES!!!! Poor quality of food, service was not good, very pricey. Not to mention the little critters that came to visit our table crawling up the wall. I called the waitress over to show her she just had us move to a new table then killed the roach with a paper towel. $62 dollars later .......... Still hungry and very disappointed. We will NEVER go there again!!!

Obnoxious wannabe 'Gram influencers from the Worst. Generation. EVER. at the table opposite from us, won't quit literally yelling swear words with our 4 kids sitting here. Management? Nowhere to be found. I instructed the newly minted 21 year olds drinking away their stimulus check to cut out the swear words. They don't. We ask our waiter (the only capable person in the whole place, apparently) to get them to quiet down, the "manager" does nothing but feed them more liquor and beer.Our waiter, a young man named Logan who should find a better place to work, was great and seemed like he cared, but was limited in what he could do for us.I doubt very strongly that we will return.

My Family went to Angus Because the other place in town was closed. We waited an hour and a half for our food for 1 thing. People that came in way after us got their food before we did and 2 of our orders were salads. and then upon getting our food 1 member of out party did not get their food and it was explained to us that the cooks first mixed up our orders then the cooks had thrown away the chicken that was to be placed on 1 of the salads. So that party sat there while everyone else ate dinner and had nothing to eat. Mind you we spent almost 100.00 dollars on what food we did get. In no way was this the servers fault but this is also the 3rd time we have been there in the last month and something had gone wrong each and every time. this place use to be one of the better places to eat. This is no longer the case it gets worse every time we go. what is going on at this place?

I got food poisoning there in 2020 and they denied it even when we turned it into the inspectors for the Health and Missouri State health inspectors they refused to take credit for it even though it was black-and-white what it happened that's why they had to shut down the place in Mount Vernon and also the one in Marionville

This is our 3rd time to try this steakhouse. We wanted to give it one more try. Today, both my husband and I had steaks - I had the 14 oz prime rib (medium) and he had the Jack Daniels ribeye (medium rare). We thought we'd give this place another try, but they always overcook the steaks. It was both dry. For my 14 oz prime rib - I should have just ordered the 12 oz. There's so much chunk of fat in it that was more than 2 oz. Disappointing. I know it's not the waitress' fault. We did not complain. We just won't be back.

Grace was our waitress she did a great job! Their smothered fries are delicious!It's one of the few places to eat so we eat there often!! Staff is great:)

Good food, service and people. Not much else to say....they want a book it was just a good place to eat
