Our whole family (ages 9-76) went to Angry Axe using a Groupon. Connor was the man in charge. He was helpful to everyone in the group. He made sure my niece had a smaller ax and he walked my dad through step by step instructions. My 76 year old mom had a blast! Definitely recommend!

This was a ton of fun!I have to admit, when you get there, you will wonder what you are getting yourself into. It's a very creepy place on the outside. Once you get in you will find a nice young man who will get you signed in and explain how to throw and axe. He was super nice and showed us all the different variations. I hit first try! Missed about five times after but eventually got the basic hang of it. I still didn't stick them every time but man I want to go buy a stupid axe now! HahIt's a great time and I can almost bet you will tire out before the one hour session is over. I imagine I'll be sore! But give this place a try and learn something new!

Angry Axe is located in a warehouse district. You might miss it from the main road if not for a medium crossed axe artwork on the outside. Pulling into the alley you find a fenced in parking lot with a large sign reading Angry Axe Throwing.Walking inside there is ample room and roughly eight throwing lanes. Cost to throw is $20/hr per person which I found pretty reasonable. The axe-pert that checked us in also sharpened our axes before showing us to a lane. We had the place pretty much to ourselves on a Tuesday evening around 5-6pm. I went here with a colleague who had never thrown axes before and she had a great time. I also learned some fun axe throwing games. Pro-tip: Angry Axe is BYOB if you want to bring a brew or two.

Called ahead and booked a reservation. Showed up on time and no one was there. Waited over 45 minutes for someone to show up and after multiple phone calls, still nothing. If you're going to accept a reservation, make sure you can have staff on site in a reasonable amount of time, otherwise reschedule, or don't accept the reservation. Was told the manager would be there shortly after we arrived, but due to living far away and hitting traffic, would be a little late. Traffic isn't an excuse. You live in this city, and run a business in this city. You know when peak traffic times are and when you will have to allow for extra time to show up. If you're going to allow bookings anytime throughout the day and evening, make sure you can be there to accommodate, or have some who is close enough to cover for you until you can arrive. Making someone wait 45+ minutes for a reservation that was only going to be an hour long to begin with is a little absurd. Hopefully others have a better experience.

We are in town from Little Rock, AR for the Justin Timberlake concert and I found this on yelp. As we've never tried throwing axes before, we thought we would try it. It was so much fun! And Bailey, the staff member we met, was so nice and made us a list of things to try. I would definitely recommend this for something out of the ordinary!

Angry Axe was a great time! It was a lot more challenging than I expected, because as it turns out my noodle arms aren't well equipped for holding axes that are surprisingly kind of heavy. It definitely is something that takes practice but once you start to get it, it's awesome! The staff were accommodating when we had to switch our time and ended up adding a member to our party at the last minute. (Sorry about that by the way...) I would definitely recommend it, but would suggest not going with a group much larger than 4-5 unless you book two lanes, it can be a waiting game if you have too many people. Only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because it is a tad pricey for what it is. But that's what Groupon is for (:

This place is a great time. Went with friends for my birthday, we all had a great time. It is BYOB so remember that also they will let you bring your own axe to throw if you want to. I'm definitely going back and everyone I was with said the same thing.
