My family and I love this place! First of all when you walk in you get a real family vibe from the staff. The atmosphere is cozy and quaint. You have a choice of eating in the main dining room, the back room which is more of a bar atmosphere, or outside when weather permits. Everything is super clean, including the bathrooms which make you feel like you are at home! The food is fresh and well prepared. You get a lot for your money too! And make sure you save room for dessert! Those fried pies are a must! Lastly, if you want the friendliest service in all of Eureka, ask for Holly! She is a native and a true sweetheart, handing out hugs at the end of your meal. We drive 45 minutes not only for the food, but for the atmosphere and people. This is one of Arkansas's best hidden gems!

Took a little drive with my wife and Mom over the weekend and stumbled upon Angler's. We checked out the menu and said "hey let's give this a go." Am I glad that we did this!? 110%To start off, the team here have to be the friendliest people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. They make you feel right at home. The food, I mean come on, absolutely phenomenal. Can't wait to come back and try the brunch!

Yesterday, we returned from a much needed short vacation in Eureka Springs. After walking all day and checking out the shops, we were sitting at a brewery enjoying some of the local brew and chatting with the bartender and a regular. We asked for a recommendation of a plane to eat. They said Anglers, which was great since we really wanted fish. We almost missed the turnoff for the parking lot but because we were a little early for dinner (it had been a long day out in the sun) but were able to park right in front which is good because the place is big and I'm honestly not sure how they fit all the cars there. We were immediately seated, and our waitress Kelly showed up. I knew I was gonna like her. She had an awesome shirt on and said it was her Sunday t-shirt, which cracked me up. We ordered an appetizer of fried green tomatoes. If these weren't handmade, then punch my Mama (trying to work a southern reference in). The tomatoes were firm and held the breading perfectly, and there were a ton of them. Speaking of portion size...our food came out...wowza! My friend got walleye, and I got trout (and since I was on vacation, I also got hushpuppies and onion straws (they were out of onion rings, which I'm betting were fantastic!)). Both of the fish were cooked perfectly!! Kelly checked on us at a reasonable pace, and it was starting to get busy. EVERY and I'm not making this up EVERYONE was very friendly even when people started to wait at the door. As a matter of fact, the waiter named Mark(?) Was helping a couple behind us. (The man was being a jerk to the woman. Come to find out, it was his mother, and he had just moved here to help her out. He was getting loud and sitting VERY close to me.) Mark, very patiently, asked the woman what she felt like eating. The man kept trying to tell her, but Mark persisted and said, "Okay, you want seafood. Shrimp?" She must've shook her head because then he said,"Trout?"She wanted that, but when Mark asked what sides and if she wanted a platter, the guy said, "She's not that hungry." Mark persisted, and she wanted 2 sides. The man was not happy but Mark said " you can take whatever you don't eat home with you". (For the record, when we left, she almost had everything eaten. Ha!) I don't normally listen in on other people's conversations, but I was sitting very close to their table, and he really was talking loud. This crew helped each other, were friendly and very attentive. Back to the food. The onion straws were regular straws you could get anywhere and the hush puppies didn't appear to be handmade but the portions were huge, the fish was spectacular, my friend's potato salad was phenomenal and the vegetables he had were amazing considering they were just vegetables. The place was decorated cute but functional. We didn't go into the bar, which I regretted after we left. Next time we are in Eureka Springs, we will definitely sit in the bar and ask for Kelly. So my friend knows I yelp. He never has any comment, but this time, as we got in the car, he said, "Be sure and Yelp this place and mention Kelly. That speaks volumes!(I'm writing this on my phone, so please forgive any misspellings or odd tangents. Thanks!)

I'm serious when I say; "there are no amazing restaurants in Eureka Springs!"Since there seems to be only one of each ethnic restaurant there's no one to compete with them, so their food is mediocre. I also never understood why literally every restaurant servers Burgers "even the ethnic ones." But this "seafood restaurant" wasn't as great as people said it was, it okay but nothing amazing. My catfish was extremely fishy, the shrimp was okay, but their batter tasted like store bought shake and bake, and as you all know batter in a seafood place is extremely important! You can't just use store bought batter! The people there were really nice, the outside patio was great. A great place to hang out and have a beer and a burger, but not the best spot for seafood, but I guess it's the only seafood place in town so there's that.

I had such a nice experience the first time I went here, that I drove over 40 miles to go here for my 74th birthday, I was feeling a little down spending it alone and wanted to lift my spirits, well....it did not. I decided to do a pick up order at 4:30 pm on Saturday and drive home before dark, I don't do well driving at night on the highway. When I asked to turn in a to go order, the hostess immediately discouraged me, she tells me it will be AT LEAST AN HOUR *maybe two? to get an to go order and then says they stop making to go orders at 5pm - I become embarrassed the way she is barking at me. But I drove so far to get here, I tell her I can wait, she brushes me off and points at booth seat, tells me to wait and they will SEE if I can order food? Even at my age, (I hate to admit this) I was on the verge of tears, I had driven all the way here to get this treatment? I sat there being ignored and finally ask,,, when I get her attention, can I just eat here? She seemed almost mad to hear me say that, what had I done wrong? I never understood? Anyway, she "points" at a table across the room and goes sit over there. Lord...I was really feeling unwelcome? No menu, nothing...just sit over there. When my server showed up, she goes did you already know what you want and not need a menu? I replied with tears in my eyes, I was never given one and this hostess has been so rude to me that I am very upset. I explained to her what had happened and she responds "I have no problem getting you a to go order", and proceeded to do just that. She was very attentive and could tell how upset I was. I don't mind saying - even though the server was kind, I will never go back there, there are many other food establishments that appreciate business, and honestly, even though I want to move past this bad experience, that hostess was a wet rag on my birthday, and at 74, I don't have that many left, trying to make each one count.

Stopped by here for a quick dinner on our Eureka Springs trip as it was close to our cabin. Great stuff! They were nice 'n busy and still attentive. Drew was a blast, very fun presence to be around. The fried pickle chips are bomb and so is the coconut shrimp. House made ranch (IT'S KEY) was amazing and enhanced everything we ordered. Will come back when we can sit on patio in summer :) lots of parking as well.

Got sat down quite quickly and our orders were in just as fast! I got the rainbow fillet with mashed potatoes and coleslaw as sides. ALL of it was just DELICIOUS! My husband got the coconut shrimp with fries and onion rings(both dishes came with hush puppies). He said that was also delicious! He said the hush puppies were the best he's ever had actually. Definitely recommend if you want a laid back place to eat at! The atmosphere was also very nice too! You have the options to sit inside, outside or at the bar! Also, just a heads up, they have a sign in there that says "party over 6 will automatically be charged with an 18% gratuity". Just keep that in mind! Happy eating!!!!
