Albarka's small back kitchen is a hidden gem in Tulsa. While many of the flashy downtown restaurants dominate the food scene, the select handful of options here put many more established restaurants to shame. Featuring biryani (usually goat and chicken) and a couple of other dishes, albarka makes exactly what they are amazing at--and nothing else. For less than the cost of a entree at any restaurant, you can walk out with a container full of wonderfully aromatic biryani that will feed you for days. On the drive home, your only thought will be on digging in the moment you put it down on your counter as your car fills up with the smell of the spices. As you dig through the dish, the whole spices pods, chunks of bone in meat, and the various colors of the rice tell you that this dish wasn't made for convenience but for flavor.

First time here. I had the Lamb Pilau, and the Chicken Tikka roll. Service was quick and courteous. The food was amazing. You could eat the lamb with a spoon. The rice with the lamb was amazing. Should have gotten more chicken Tikka rolls, they were fatnastic. Price is more than fair under the conditions. I will be going back. Have not made into the store yet.

We ordered a few dishes to go but instead of lamb, we were given chicken. Luckily, we realized the mistake while we were still in the parking lot. We went back to the restaurant to exchange the dish, but the staff just grabbed a frozen, pre-packed meal and microwaved it.To our disappointment, the chicken biryani we received was poorly prepared. It had chicken bones buried in the rice, and the meat with bones appeared to be partially eaten before. We are now concerned about our health. The prices were not cheap, and the restaurant lacked any ambiance worth mentioning. We noticed a lack of passion in the food and service. We will never return to this restaurant again.

Great local Halal market. Lots of options for different spices, rice, sweets, frozen food and meat. The owner is very friendly and helpful. I have a couple questions about some things, and he was very gracious and helping me figure out what I was looking for. I will definitely be coming back and look forward to trying more of the grocery selection that is carried here.

Ever since Al Sultan closed, I had been looking for a market that carried middle eastern ingredients so I was very thankful a friend had told me about Albarka. They had everything I needed to make shawarma wraps at home. I also have tried their goat biryani and chicken biryani (they have a small takeout area in the back of the store), both were delicious.

This is the only place I buy my spices. I also LOVE the chicken pizza. It is the best.

My nephew and I decided to check this store out. We both love Indian food. We tried the handmade samosas and it was the best I've ever tasted. I wanted to turn around and go back to buy all that they had left. Employees are very kind. We will definitely be back.
