To say I'm a neurotic pet parent would be an understatement. After moving back to Oklahoma from CA, finding the right veterinarian was essential. I researched and researched. Two veterinarian names kept popping up on my list - Dr. Jennifer Patton and Dr. Alissa Huckabay. I made Dexter's appointment with the first available of the two - Dr. Patton. Holistic care is very important to me, Dr. Patton listened to all my concerns and was receptive and understanding of my requests. And she was phenomenal with my little guy, Dexter. She discovered that he needed a dental procedure so after his blood work came back good, we got him scheduled for a dental cleaning with Dr. Huckabay. I was pleased that I'd get to experience the top two vets on my list! Dexter is barely 5lbs (he's also my whole heart), so any type of procedure is enough to send me into a full panic. Every single one of the team members at Advanced Care Veterinary Hospital were not only patient with me and my over-the-top behavior, but they were also very kind and understanding. They allowed me to wait in a room during the procedure and even brought him to me so I could hold him during his recovery. Dr. Huckabay and her vet assistant, Abbi were both extremely detailed in their explanation of what Dex needed and what they did during the procedure. Abbi was empathetic, answered all my questions and addressed all my concerns post-surgery. And every single person at the front desk area that day were phenomenal. I feel that the service we received proves that Advanced Care is practicing at the highest standard in the field and truly offer expert specialty vet care services. Dex couldn't have gotten better care anywhere else, and I couldn't have either.

Dr Patton & her staff are always amazing, kind, & thorough. Dr Payton has been my girl Abby's vet all her 9 years of life & I drive all the way across town from BA to see her now. You couldn't ask for a better person to care for your fur family. We had to put our old man Snoop down last year & they did everything they could for us & it was right when the pandemic shut everyone down, so it was a difficult time for all & the still blew me away with their kindness.

*Edit...dropped my rating because they wouldn't answer a simple question over the phone without being paid or care credit. I just wanted to know if the hematoma could wait until the next day because it had ruptured. They didn't even call to check on him when I missed the surgery appointment.* So far, so good. My Catahoula and German Shepherd mix started developing a hematoma in his ear last week. His ears are floppy like a hound dog's, and don't stand up like a German Shepherd's do. I called around to all of the veterinarian offices in Sapulpa, and this office is the only one who treats ear hematomas. Ages ago I had been a pet parent with this vet, but there was some reason I had an emergency that they weren't open for, or couldn't squeeze me in for; so I had used another vet and stayed with them for awhile. I was always satisfied then. Okay, Kristi, stay on topic. LOLAnyway, I told the office up front that my poor dog looked haggard and neglected. He has a severe flea/grass allergy, and is practically bald from the front legs back. Then, with that ear hematoma sticking out like a huge sopapilla, he just looks horrible. We arrived on time to the office today. They were very kind and if there were any judgements to his appearance, we sure weren't overhearing anything. They weighed him and took him to an examination room, where they asked if we wanted to clip his long toenails while he was there. I agreed...that is one of Lou's major faults...no one touches his toes or he shows "razor sharp, pearly white teeth," and though he's never given me any indication he wants to ever bite, I don't trust it, so I said, "Sure."They took him back and clipped his toenails. Then they brought him out front and told us what all they would need to do, but I'm in between paychecks, and explained I would have to pay for his services Wednesday or Thursday, whenever his deposit comes in.So, all of this aside, they seem kind, caring, and know what they're doing. We are actually going to get him on a flea regimen as well as get the hematoma taken care of, and then, as I can afford it, we will be putting a cat per paycheck on the flea regimen, as well. They've earned my trust, so that is who I am going to start using again, especially being they treat speciality conditions, as well as speciality pets.

I've been taking my exotic animals to Doctor Matt Sellers since I adopted them two years ago. He's very formal and very awesome! He helped me take care of my rescue lizard, Bruce, and was even kind enough to give his regards when Bruce passed away. Hes always worked with my budget as I am a student. I'll be taking my first snake to this vet office today to get an overall health check. I'm very excited to see the vet staff again.

I decided to use the pet insurance there it was $50 a month. I went there for the first 6 months and it was great. Other than me feeling like they tried to sale me things I didn't need. With the pet insurance I received 6 free nail trims. I decided to end services after one year. He had his vaccinations and I didn't see the point when he was a healthy cat. I took him in 3 months before the last payment to get a check up and nail trim. They were moving people in the back due to a remodel. When I went back there to check in the staff was very rude right from the start. Then the lady at the desk proceeds to tell the other lady about some drama in her life. Which she was more interested in then answering my questions. She acted annoyed when I asked questions that interrupted the others story. When they finally took my pet back to the room it took quite a while for them to come get him for his trimming. The vet came in there then and said she had looked him over and he was a healthy cat. They brought him back and rushed me to the back door because they needed the room. I got home and noticed my cats nails had not been trimmed. Which was the whole reason I took him. So I called and complained and the lady said the vet tech tried but shadow was biting her and scratching. He did that to everyone but me. I didn't think they would have trouble with that but if they would have told me that before I left or asked me to help them instead of rushing me out I wouldn't have been so upset. But just giving me excuses to why you didn't do your job and being rude on top of the whole experience I just wasted time off to being my cat there and had to deal with rude people who didn't seem to care about my fur baby. I will not be returning.

I have used ACV for 5 years, every since our 2 kids adopted us by walking in our yard & wouldn't leave, we have used them for boarding, chipping, neutering, care plans, vaccinations, basically all our needs. I have used them exclusively, however I needed them for a problem with one our our kids, I called at noon on Friday 7-1 to ask for an appointment today, she had a mass on her elbow that was tender, hot & you could tell it bothered her, just came up suddenly, they said to go to some other place she named couldn't see her until Tuesday, Monday being a holiday, couldn't see her on Saturday-vaccinations day. REALLY. I have spent literally thousands of dollars, hours of time & bragged on them & they couldn't work in my dog for a 10 minute visit of which we have never had an emergency, I took her to Rankins Vet in Sand Springs, I called around noon, they got her in @ 3:30, wasn't even their patient, gave her antibiotics, was efficient, kind & patient with her, diva. I told them we would be seeing them from now on.

Update 8/11/2021Fun fact this vet will ban you if you write a negative review. Their 5 star rating is a lie. What professional place of buisness can't take criticism? This place is a joke!Update 8/09/2021Looks like we will never be returning to this vet. Got a letter sent to the house essentially banning us from this vet. They killed our our kitten, refuse to take responsibility for their actions instead barred us from returning. Will be filing a formal complaint with the state for negligence. Absolutely disgusting and disrespectful of them to send that and not a formal apology as requested. 100% will never recommend this vet to any person who loves their animals no matter how short a time they've had them.----‐‐----Used to think highly of this vet until our latest experience. Brought in a sick kitten as she stopped eating and drinking and began vomiting overnight, they were nice enough to squeeze us in but that's about as far as the kindness went. Upon handing Tiki over I was left out in the lobby filling out paperwork, the tech who took Tiki back came out to tell me that she started to sieze and then walked away. Eventually Dr. Adolph came and gave me the option of taking her to the emergency vet or euthanasia, as this cat was both taken care of by me and my roommate I told him he needed to reach out to her. When he called her the option of an emergency vet wasn't given, just that she needed to be put down and sent to be tested for rabies. I wasn't even told about the suspicion of rabies from any of the staff, but my roommate via text. After he got off the phone with her he came back to me (still sitting in their lobby) asking for payment. No sympathy whatsoever from this man, wasn't even asked if I'd like to see our little kitten again. Wasn't even offered to be brought into the very obvious empty patient room to discuss any of this end of life options for Tiki. At this point I'm just in shock any of this happened, who would think that a kitten who was acting normal the morning before have to be put down the next? After this, all we could do is wait for the results to come back from the labs. For some reason this took 8 days to inform us she was negative for rabies. This is the part that makes zero sense as the paperwork shows she was sent off the day she was euthanized (7/14), recieved two days later (7/16 @ 6:55 AM) and REPORTED the same day she was recieved (7/16 @ 3:45 PM). No one can explain why it took 5 extra days to relay that information to us?I have spoken to one of the owners and complained about the service we received, and requested IF we ever decide to use them again that Dr. Adolph was barred from seeing any of our animals. After retrieving our copy of the test results I can say with all honesty I don't know if we will return to this vet office again anytime soon.
