809 Sports Grill

Great dining location that opens at 5pm attached to a hotel. Also operates as a sports bar as well with nice food selections, alcohol and great service. Recommended!

We checked out the 809 sports grill off of northwest Expressway this evening. The Oklahoma vs. Tennessee game was on, and we wanted some tasty snacks to go with the game. The first thing we noticed was an overflowing trash can out front. When we entered the restaurant, a wave of heat hit us. The air-conditioning was out. We decided to tough it out and picked a table with a good view of the TVs. All of us wanted frozen margaritas to help cool down while watching the game. Guess what, no frozen margaritas. Things just went downhill from there. We asked for the TV to be switched from what ever collage was on to the OU, Tennessee game. The reply was, "we're sorry, but we are not allowed to change channels. At this point, I think the wait staff sensed out frustration and found the control to change the channel. Good news, the game was on. We ordered a mixed bag of treats for our group. A couple of burgers, fried pickles, onion rings, dry rub wings, & fries. Then the flies showed up. Dozens and dozens of Flys. The wait staff was running here and there with dish rags attempting to kill Flys. The only saving grace for our meal was the very tasty food. The burgers got good marks. The onion rings were wonderful. The French fries were perfect. The fried pickles were scrupulous. The downside was the wings, over cooked and dry. They were not very appealing. I really wanted to give a higher review to 809 Sports Grill, but there are issues that need to be resolved. My advice keep looking at the reviews to see if they can lift themselves up from the mess their in now.

Service was excelkent. Super friendly and attentive server. Food was good and plentiful. Good selection of beverages

Bar doesn't have a license for alcohol... so I got a diet coke and some fries with the works... aka bar food.. it was good.. seasoned perfectly.. customer service was good, i believe the chef was the bartender as well. 3 stars just because you didnt have beer... reading reviews on other foods, all I have to say is expect the quality of the dish from the place you are at. Bar food is bar food not a 5star restaurant.

Ive been here a couple times, cajun shrimp pasta is solid, steak is above average and chicken fried is maybe above average. Paul the bartender is always professional and helpful and it doesnt matter how busy he is you get good service. Good happy hour 5-7pm Recommended!

Hotel bars are always hit and miss. Most the time they are kind of depressing, filled with travelers or locals who like to pay for over priced drinks. I came here two nights in a row because, well, I was bored. I spent about 8 bucks on a weak jack and coke from a bartender who cared more about his cell phone conversation, motorcycle conversation, and flirting with divorcees than serving his customer. He was pretty straight faced with me, never offering conversation or even a hello and I had to flag him down each time I needed something. It wasn't until the next night where he was working but another gal poured me my second drink after he did. She offered "are you sure you don't want to make it a double for $3 more?". This was never even made an option by the other guy and when he saw my face, he quickly ducked to the back. I was absolutely livid as I was paying more for individual drinks when I could have had doubles. Its not like I didn't tip or just had one drink, I had 3 the first night.The fact that he was so rude to me and didn't offer me a regular offering made me pretty pissed. I'm not sure what I did but I definitely wasn't a fan of his or the service until the Hispanic girl helped me.

I am staying here at the Hilton Garden Inn and I thought I would order Room Service. I ordered a Pizza and I ended up eating one piece as it was not edible. There was SO much Corn Meal on the bottom of the pizza! I called them and told them to come pick it up! Yuck!

We took a chance on this Grill as it's close to our home in Belle Isle. We found it to be pretty good. My fiancé had the phille steak sandwich, which was average, but the "build your own burger" was great (a little over cooked). We enjoyed their French fries. They were short and crisp and had a great seasoning. Don't come expecting a loud sports bar...it's not. You can have a $10 dinner, an adult beverage and actually have a conversation!I will go back....

Horrible!!! Ordered the jumbo shrimp and instead of 6 jumbo shrimp and crackers we received 8 tiny shrimp no crackers and the smell was horrible. Sent it back and server comped the shrimp and gave us another plate of it which wasn't much better. The servers both of them didn't even know what steak was in the steak tacos and the corn tortilla were soaked with oil. And the chicken wrap had my stomach turning all night! Never going here again!!

Do not come to this place...unless you are into moldy burger buns, bad service and a dirty bar top (he never cleared any of the previous customers plates, drinks, silverware etc) Might I ad there are only four people in this place. Only a one star because I can't do anything less.
