Best Thai I have had in Chicago. Prices are very good, and the amount of food you get is also quite nice. A lot of places will give you a ton of rice or noodles and leave something to be desired regarding the proteins - not the case here.I regret that I cannot pronounce the dish I chose, but it's pictured here. It's ground chicken with rice and egg, seasoned with Thai spices. It is such a simple yet satisfying dish.I will definitely be back, the staff were friendly and quick with the service. I do not give five stars easily but this place deserves it without a doubt.

Went here on a week night for a spontaneous date. It was busy, but had tables available. The location is small and intimate - no frills and smells really good with a mix of spices. The food was good. Our server was wicked friendly. We ordered the:Crab Rangoons (Recommend)KA PROW KAI KHAI DAO (Recommend)KA PROW MOO KROB (Recommend)GYO SAIKROG TOD (Recommend)We tried one variation of iced team (can't remember which). They also have Diet Coke by the can, so ordered that as well. Updated to 3 stars instead of 4:Have gone twice since the first time and both times staff were rude. Arrived at 9:10-9:15 on a week day with several tables open and were told they would not seat us for a table of 2 even though we actively saw another man get seated as we were talking (they close at 10). I went to take someone on a Wednesday night at 8. We arrived and another couple arrived after us, several tables were open, but we and the other couple were told that they would not be seating another 2 top for 40 minutes... which was weird and was not communicated in a friendly manner.

Had high expectations of this place based on the many reviews, so decided to try it out on a Sunday night. As we were ordering our waitress notified us that they were completely out of beef and whole squid. A little disappointing, but okay.We ordered:Tom Tuk Tuk papaya salad - huge portion of food, but it was a little heavy on the salt/fish sauce. Also, they gave 5-6 tiny pieces of crab legs which seemed absurdly tiny and had to complain to the waitress about. After eating at Thai restaurants in Elmhurst/Queens/NYC where they give you a whole large crab on top of the papaya salad, this was a disappointment. Maybe I need to adjust my expectations, Idk.Laab Moo Tod - these crispy meatballs were a little too crispy. A couple of them had pieces that were so hard that I had to spit them out.Pad Kee Mao - flavor was good, but it was mostly noodles with a few pieces of chicken, 2-3 pieces of basil, and minimal vegetables. Also had to complain about the minimal portion of chicken.Pla Rad Prik (deep fried snapper) - tender fish but the sauce was a little too sweet. The waiter brought us additional portion of steamed chicken and crab after we complained which was nice of her.Overall the quality of the food didn't quite live up to expectations although I really wanted to like the place. Sadly will probably not be back, would give other Thai places a try first.

Tuk Tuk has been on my list of places to try for the longest time! I went yesterday with a friend and we tried to order as much as we could enjoy! We decided on the papaya salad with fermented anchovies, the special pad Thai, the basil chicken, and the fried pork with gai lan. Everything was very delicious. Love that they ask you what spice level you want! Be aware, level 3 and up are SPICY!! The only complaint I have is the special pad Thai. I felt like it was overall a little too sweet (and they even give you extra sugar on the side.. Wtheck?!) it was also overcooked, which is really unfortunate bc the shrimp pretty much fell apart into mush when you would bite into it. Overall, a pretty solid Thai restaurant.

Pretty Good food with exceptional service. I like how everything is spicy and flavorful each dish had its own unique flavor and texture. I hate when Thai food can be so sweet it's unbelievable! But I think some places do that so Americans can eat it. The ambiance is colorful and different from other Thai places I've been to. Going to be coming back soon!

Holy Moly it's a Monday night and there's a party in here. We took the last table. Very festive Asian decor with fast loud Thai music to match. It's also BYOB.Food came out really fast. Papaya salad(tum Thai) refreshing, healthy, HOT and little too vinegary. The pork belly(ka prow moo Krob) has a strong basil sauce - good - also SPICY.We told them medium that's there medium. Other reviewers have commented on this so please be warned. Otherwise I like the place.

After eagerly anticipating a visit to Tuktuk, I finally had the chance to experience it--and it did not disappoint! This may very well be my new favorite Thai restaurant. My friends and I ordered several entrées to share, and the portions were generous enough for everyone. The pad Thai was absolutely delicious. We also tried the octopus appetizer, which was a standout. The pork belly melted in my mouth, and the shrimp were impressively large and succulent. I can honestly say that the food was amazing. To top it off, the restaurant itself is charming and inviting. Our server was so helpful as well!

On a stretch of Clark Street near Diversey which feels oddly quiet sits a narrow slice of Thailand. Tuk Tuk Street Food is a bustling single large room where you will find wonderfully intense flavors. You will find a few usual suspects but many you have not heard of. The interior is very colorful with flowery table cloths. Corrugated steel walls with vintage artwork and stall props, woven bamboo lighting, flags, and a singular neon sign sets the stage for the cuisine. The wait staff are fast and attentive and English may not be their first language. We started with small appetizers such as classic Isan-style Laab crispy meatballs which were good. We also had their fried spring rolls which were small but good. They have a large selection of papaya salads which we strongly encourage you try. We ordered the Tum Thai with green beans, dried baby shrimp, tomatoes, garlic, peanut, lime dressing, fish sauce. This was a flavor explosion with complex sweet and sour flavors. For the main course we ordered the Stir-fried Chinese broccoli with crispy pork belly, garlic, Thai chili in savory brown sauce.. this was a very hearty and tasty dish.We could have gone on, but we were full. Unlike most Thai restaurants, every dish here had a heat kick, so be ready. The cost was about $85 with tip.Overall, this place is worth going to. Get there early as they take reservations for six or more.
