Zuzi offers something that is rare these days -- drop-in adult dance classes in a warm, accepting environment. There is no judgement at this studio. Folks can come in and experience a class in several different styles (aerial, modern, choreography) and be welcomed as they are. The classes are small, providing personalized attention from instructors. There are opportunities for performing here, which I love. However, no one is pressured and if performing is not your thing, that is okay too! Zuzi is also very involved in the community, which I appreciate. They partner with other dance organizations to present several performances per year, and those are wonderful chances to see various dance works that might not otherwise have a venue to be showcased. My daughter has also taken aerial classes and really loves them. She likes that the instructors are welcoming and that they don't tolerate cliques between groups of students that might know each other better than newcomers. She also appreciates the opportunity to participate in performances several times a year.

This local dance studio is a true Tucson Gem. I have not taken classes personally, but have been to several performances over the years. The last time I was simply blown away. The dancers were of all ages, sizes and skill levels, and yet the whole evening had a polish and professionalism that was impressive. The music, the poetry, the lighting, the variety of pieces performed. I enjoyed it all. Several of the pieces actually moved me to tears. Others made me grin from ear to ear. Others were simply beautiful and thought provoking. The theatre is centrally located just west of 4th Avenue, with parking both behind the theatre and on the street. The historic building which is home to Zuzi has a very pleasant lobby area, where it is fun to mingle before the show. The theatre itself has tiered seating with every seat commanding a great view of the stage.I love dance and have seen international performers, and local talent both, and we are lucky to have Zuzi Dance Company in Tucson, due to the quality, heart, and soul they put into every performance.

This location was used for a fashion show that I participated in. The Zuzi has a very nice setup, good lighting, and comfy seats. The staff was helpful. The back rooms are good, but a suggestion is to have more bathrooms available.

The people are the nicest around--the teachers, the staff, the other students. I have been going to Zuzi on-and-off for years. It is an invaluable hub for artists in Tucson. They are very welcoming to beginners and have a lot to offer skilled dancers as well. Very inclusive.Love the community ethic. Love the somatic orientation. I've tried lots of different classes and have enjoyed them all. A unique place for aerial *dance,* not just aerial tricks. Helps me stay strong and active and social.

Zuzi is an amazing place for children and teenagers. Having worked at Zuzi for several summers, I have witnessed the joy of seeing children express themselves through dance and the arts in general. The trapeze activities are so unique and special, and really speak to their need to move. There is a spirit of community within Zuzi which is not always present in a summer camp. It was clear that many families seek it out because of the what their children experience, and return summer after summer.
