My husband and I did the restorative yoga class with Kim. She was extremely kind, welcoming, and helpful. The perfect kind of teacher for this class! The studio is beautiful, although the windows prevent it from getting fully dark. I did however love the string of lights in the ceiling. Signing up for the class was super easy--we just did it in person! The yelp towel is super cool too! The class itself was interesting, and enjoyable. I had done one restorative class before but it was a first for my husband. It is a much slower paced type of class, but I think we needed that! Thank you Yelp and Barefoot studios!

I always appreciate the Yelp events that allow for a plus one and the opportunity to share how great it is to be Yelp elite! This opportunity was perfect as I had been looking to join a yoga group again. I love how close to home this one is for me, as well as it's cute location in the Ina/Oracle plaza. My friend and I were able to her over to Pita Jungle after our class, for dinner. This yoga studio sports a store at reception when you can buy crystal necklaces, shirts, towels, etc. The studio is a fairly large room with a great deal of natural light and fairy lights strung throughout. I went to a 6pm Mellow Flow class, which was simple enough while still challenging. The teacher provided modifications and the supplies needed to make them if needed.I bc love that you can purchase memberships or 10-class passes. I will definitely be doing one of those!

Grateful for another elite experience at Barefoot and this time with a plus 1! It was easy for my guest to sign up and use the promo code. Our evening session was welcoming and relaxing and we stayed for the sound bath afterwards which was beautiful. I love this place and wish it was closer to my side of town so I could join their classes more often. Overall a great yoga experience!

This experience was awesome! Thank you so much Yelp for setting this up. I did the restorative class with Kim and brought my dad. I never would've tried a class like this, but it was the only one that fit my schedule. I'm SO GLAD it was!! I was equate it to a guided meditation. It was so nice to just focus on breathing and restoring my body for an hour!

Much needed stretch and relaxation! I'm very happy that I got the opportunity to come to this event and bring a friend. The instructor was great guiding us. Beautiful studio! Loved the natural light from the window and the stream lights on the ceiling was calming and peaceful.

Barefoot Studios is in a beautiful location with large windows that look out onto the Catalina Mountains. I was grateful to get to bring a guest with me to experience the Yin class and sound bath. Angelina taught both classes, and she was very welcoming and friendly. The pros: The studio is spacious and clean. The class we attended was slow paced, but it was very relaxing. I hadn't experienced a sound bath before, and it was a really unique experience that my guest and I enjoyed. The studio is kept very cool, which is great for someone like me who overheats easily while exercising but may not be ideal for those who enjoy warmer settings for yoga. The cons: We were toward the middle/back of the room, and I found it hard to hear Angelina when the AC was running. Also, because no one was at reception when we arrived (we did arrive just before class started on a Sunday, so this may be because we didn't arrive early), I wouldn't have gotten my swag item (cute Yelp yoga towel) if I hadn't gone to the restroom after class and seen them on the reception desk. It didn't seem like the check-in process was as organized as some studios, but again, this is likely due to the day we went and due to arriving just as class was about to start. It was wonderful to have the opportunity to try a new studio and have new experiences. Thanks to Barefoot Studios and Yelp!

The sign up process was a little confusing. It was easy enough for me to do it for myself, but the email invite that went out said that you could call to register yourself and your friend - my friend that was joining me was out of town, so I called and her behalf and was told I wasn't able to do that and she could just sign up when we got there. Luckily my friend was able to complete the process on the app before the class, because there was nobody at reception when we got there. We were welcomed into the class and Nicole was lovely. She was very warm and made the class feel very comfortable. The Yin class itself was great. We both felt really relaxed after we left and Nicole offered plenty of modifications to each pose. I am interested in the other classes they offer (like yoga with kittens?!) and will likely be back!

This was a lovely introduction to Barefoot Yoga new location (new to me) in Casas Adobes Plaza. I had only been to the previous location across the intersection. The studio is very open and airy - they have opened the divider to create one large room so people can spread out more. I tried a Yin yoga class for the first time, and learned you hold the poses for longer periods of time than in a hatha class. It was relaxing but challenging. The class was also streamed live for those that want to do virtual classes. I also stayed for sound bath class afterwards. That was very cool and interesting! The instructor used large quartz bowls to create different sounds and tones. It was pretty amazing how you could feel the vibrations of the louder tones. A very enjoyable experience!

I signed up online on their website and it was pretty easy. The hard part was actually finding the location. It's above teaspoon. Enter the courtyard with teaspoon and then there's a staircase next to it that you take up. They had all the supplies you'd need. My sister borrowed a mat and I brought my own. We used their yoga blocks and blankets. The room was a little hot but there were fans. We took the fresh start class which was great for beginners. The instructor was very kind and there were great affirmations at the end of the class that had you feeling on top of the world! It was a little hard to hear at times but overall was a great experience. Didn't get many pictures since I was trying to be present and respectful of everyone trying to decompress.
