Wisdom's Cafe

The low rating is very confusing.I don't understand how anyone could give Wisdoms less than a 5.We have gone to Wisdoms once or 3 times a year for 23 years.Every visitor that comes to Tucson to visit us ends up here within a day.Every time it is one of the top meals they experience. YESTERDAY was no exception.The uniqueness of the restaurant, the setting, and most of all, the food was outstanding as always.Our waitress Yetti was the best.Thank you.The margaritas lunches, and of course THE coconut cream and the peach desserts were the topper to a great meal. I am a shredded beef, Enchilada guy and 2 of those plus the chips and 2 style table salsas were my choice and excellent.

We had a great evening at wisdoms last night, live music and great margaritas. Mary Hixom is a wonderful meal along with the cheese crisp. Highly recommend reservations on Friday and Saturday night with live music!

Best meal I had in Tubac (including Elvira's at multiples of the price). Excellent pupusa shared by the table, my pozole was delicious and too much to finish. Everyone else liked their entrees (and took food home). Friendly good service. Skip the sosopapillas.

If you are a margarita lover, you need to give Wisdom's Cafe a try! The margaritas are strong and flavorful - we tried each flavor at our table and were impressed with all. The food was authentic and delicious - I had the chili relleno and our table agreed that it was one of the best any of us had had before.

Delicious food, warm atmosphere and terrific service. We will definitely be back! I highly recommend the Mary Hixon plate with turkey. So good.

The turkey option on whatever you order is must! So delicious. Lovely little place with friendly staff. A big favorite of mine and they never disappoint.

The food, service, and atmosphere makes you feel like you're eating among friends. The house margs are really good and not too sweet. We got the cheese crisp with birria. It was great and we couldn't finish it but found room for a fruit burrito with peach, yummmm.

Good is great, ambiance is very unusual but enjoyable. Service was great and the 45 minutes wait time went fast. Go early, best time is 4pm.

The food here is fine, it's a far fetch from authentic Mexican food though. The margaritas were also okay, definitely tasted the tequila which isn't bad but for ordering a pomegranate margarita it didn't have any taste outside of just slain tequila and the salt from the rim. Wouldn't come back for authentic Mexican food, but what is served is alright overall. The staff is great though, and attentive.

On my lunch visit the average age of the 50 patrons was 77 years old. I should have known better as their food is tailored for the Pepcid crowd. BLAND. This is anytown usa strip mall 'mexican' food.
