Half of the records. Better records behind the counter.
God bless this thrift store. Sport jackets are expensive (even at Kohl's and Target). I got 4 of them at the White Elephant for $6/each.
Every day here feels like a sunny day.
Cool art-$14
parking lot is a clusterf*ck - I mean crowded. Even all the handicapped spots are taken.
These beauties were bought 5 min after I snapped the pic.
MCM-$10
Abrasivato leather peep toes *swoon*
This could be American Apparel's next endeavor.
Lots of cute stamps
How awesome is this!!! Still has info on bottom! $20!!!
Bought this desk at the white elephant.

Clean. Efficient. Supports local community. It's a tad high on the thrift store price range but it's not junky. Only open mornings and no Sundays so it can be a challenge for someone who has a day job to get there. Because of the crowds, I do not suggest taking small children or anyone frail, for safety.

Need to have one of these in every community!!This is a cherry of a donation center; and for Tucson, this particular faculty is all the craze on the weekends. Why? Because from all the donations, there literally are donations from the sale of proceeds that directly effect all local school children in the form academic scholarship (gifts). I've snapped a verbal extraction for you to read, straight from their website. Specifically, I've never known another organization, myself, that give SO MUCH back to this Tucson community. For that, how can you not give this place a 5 star review?"Over $2.2 Million in revenue is generated each year and $1.75 Million goes back directly to community organizations who are recipients of White Elephant grants and to our local students who are recipients of a scholarship through our Country Fair White Elephant Scholarship Foundation. The White Elephant is proud to be able to contribute money right back to our local communities through our granting process."The volunteers behind this are absolutely THE Champions that. I one here's about!

Keep Looking!I work as a volunteer and see 'stuff' come in and go out within an hour of display. Get there early, and keep coming back if you are looking for a specific item, like furniture. Saturday is crazy busy, but Monday is a good day to shop. Any day is fun! There also is a site on Facebook. Good things come to those who have patience!

A thrift store on drugs!!! With all the retiree in the area, this store is loaded with items - furniture, clothing, books, you name it - it has passed thru its doors. The prices are to move merchandise and the crowds are huge. The place is huge.Only open from 9 thru 12, it is one busy place. Staffed by volunteers, the "employees can vary", but I was more that happy. I also heard that it donates a very large percentage of the income to the right causes - feed the poor, support local needs in the community, etc.Good place that actually does the right thing in many ways.

This really is the thrift store of my dreams. The furniture, jewelry, records, books, knives, golf clubs, and . . . did I mention the furniture? You may want to pinch yourself, when you look at the quality of the pieces and the prices. Most of the time I'm on high alert for bedbugs (see bedbug inspectors review), which makes me feel conflicted and hyper vigilant about my thrifting addiction. In here, everything looks clean and laundered. Worries wash away--heaven. The clothing leans mostly toward an older crowd: cold water creek, talbots (lots of talbots), golden girls jumpsuits, and other outfits that fit this area's demographics. The volunteers are angels: they constantly are bringing out more merchandise; asking if you need assistance; making suggestions about items. The even have live music! Okay, it's not a harp, but it's just as beautiful. This could be a lucid dream. We could be in the Matrix. If it is, by golly, I'm ready for the red pill, or to cross over the rainbow bridge. The only thing that brings one back to reality is the lack of parking. But every thrifter recognizes the reverb from the thrifter's high, once you get home. This is the place of eternal rapture.

This is probably the best thrift store I've ever shopped at, which is surprising because it feels like it's in the middle of nowhere. Green Valley doesn't have a lot going on, but this is one heck of a store. You can find furniture, appliances, computers, dishes, gas grills, gardening equipment, electronics, sporting goods (golf supplies, etc.), toys, books, clothing, and just about everything. It's a huge space, and spans outdoors. The store is only open from 9 am - 12 noon, and locals line up to get in early to find the best deals. The only thing that seemed in short supply was baby and children's clothing. It seems that the majority of the population in Green Valley is retired snowbirds who play golf and enjoy the mild Arizona winters.

New to the area, I kept hearing the big buzz about the great White Elephant. But the negatives of this place just kept stacking up...I wanted to donate a really nice stove to them. It was going to take about 6 weeks for them to come pick it up. Are you kidding?! I want it gone, so I found another place to donate it. I love a good thrift store, so tried to go by, then discovered their weird hours are morning only. But I gave it another try to check it out. It was over-whelming, in the most underwhelming way. Masses of people in a huge parking lot vying for a parking place. Masses of people inside this massive building. The atmosphere was cold and sterile. I tried to look around but all all the people in the aisles were in my way and I could not really see much. What I did see was nothing I wanted to take home. Correction: I DID find a pretty blue wine glass for 40 cents that I took to the counter. The lady said it was 20 cents. So WOW! Big score. And oh yes, she said, "Today, it's not really crowded." OMG. I'm done with this place! Will try and find better thrifting elsewhere. Goodwill and Habitat have always seemed better to me.

Good selection of paper back books for only 25-50 cents. Houseware shelves were rather bare. Very busy considering they were going to close in 30 minutes!

Not for the feint of heart--I love a bargain but it's just too big, too much stuff, too many people and parking can be very difficult. This just makes me want to run out the door but I'm sure there are braver bargain hunters! I was hoping for a fun experience and the volunteers are delightful but it's just too too much!
