We have stayed here in the past on our way through Arizona. The price is right they allow pets. Rooms are all 2 room suites with refrigerator, coffeemakers and microwaves. TV in each room. Their breakfast buffet included fresh fruits and hot protein items like scrambled eggs with cheese, and self serve pancake maker. Best part of stay is the friendly staff Tricia at front desk could not be nicer. Walking distance to one of the oldest Tiki Bars Kon Tiki.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for three nights. My wife chose this hotel because it was close to her family and reasonably priced. Here are some pros and cons:Pros:Price price and price. This hotel was under half what we have paid in San Diego,CAThe rooms are a suites with a sitting area, two TVs, refrigerator/freezer, microwave and safe. This is nicer than what we can usually afford. There is a complimentary breakfast that is has everything you would expect. Weekdays it opens at 6:30 AM. Great for business people that need an early start. The staff is really nice. I have stayed in other hotels that were run by a bunch of jerks. This was the complete opposite.Cons:My wife got bit by something in the bed as soon as we arrived. It looked more like a tick than a bedbug. We were given another room. The maintenance guy, Manny, helped us move our stuff. The first room had air conditioning problems and was too hot. The second room had air conditioning problems and was too cold. My wife likes it cold so we stayed with it. I am avoiding references to the three bears. The whole hotel is in serious need of a remodel. There were broken elevators, broken ice machines, torn carpeting and damaged drapes, just like home. The TV's functionality is weird. The guide doesn't match the programs. I did not use the internet. I never use hotel internet, for security reasons. ------------All and all would we stay again, sure, we would. It kind of depends on your expectations. I would rather stay in a rundown hotel run by nice people that a palace run by jerks. I have included a photo as at generation Z test. What are the cubicles in the photo?EDIT: My wife (the one who was bit) said she would not return. Other reviews appear to show that this hotel had a bedbug problem around a year ago.

Poor customer service. Hotel smelled like mildew. Black mold was growing in the room air ducts. When I notified management, they offered no solution other than "thanks for letting them know".

This is "The Hotel That Just Gave Up"I just spent two nights here. If it was not hosting the most amazing people at an event worth crossing the entire country to attend, I would have bounced from this mess after my first walk-through. I was traveling alone but if Lady Matilda had been with me, we would not have even made it to the room. In my other reviews, I try to be mindful of hotel staff who are working hard despite bad conditions. The staff, except the front desk team, was friendly and worked hard. I had to call the hotel to get the special rate for a "Deluxe Suite" and the rate was fantastic. I noted that the hotel website makes a distinction between "single rooms" and "suites" and I specifically asked for the "suite" when I called to reserve my room. I didn't leave any payment information. I was given a number over the phone that did not come up when I tried to confirm my reservation online. A few days before my arrival, I called and a bored-sounding person informed me that I had a single room with double beds. She was unable to do anything about it because she said that my reservation was handled by the sales team and they were not available.I brokered a resolution through the event and was told that the correction had been made. However, when I arrived, another bored and weary-looking desk clerk informed me that I had a single room with a queen bed. Again, she could do nothing about it because the sales team was gone and no "suites" were available. Given the price, I didn't have the motivation to press the issue. It seems that the sales team refers to all rooms as "suites" and that there are different "suites" that are bigger and more elaborate. The desk clerk said that I could take the room or cancel the reservation, whatever. The room was bigger than I needed, but the use of descriptions was needlessly deceptive and confusing. It's a multi-sectioned "single room" that other hotels could call a suite, but the website's photos made a distinction. Note that I've just gotten out of registration at this point in the narrative. I will summarize the bigger issues.1. Damaged furniture. Broken drawers; wobbling tables; the room door was warped and wedged into the frame; few and non-functional outlets; burnt-out lightbulbs; holes in the tabletops; stains on the carpet; poorly-covered holes in the wall; a sink that sprays everywhere; and a shower with pressure and temperature that shifted based on the use in other rooms. This extended to the larger hotel itself. Long, dark streaks in the hallway carpets from the elevators across the hallway; most of the urinals were broken in the event men's room, and two of the stalls were not functioning properly; and meeting rooms that could not stay unlocked and had to be held open with empty soda cans. The refrigerator worked so the lunch that had been left behind in it was cold. The top of the fridge was sticky. The window sill was dusty, and the windows themselves had not been cleaned in a long time as evidenced by finger streaks across the glass clearing a thick layer of sticky dust. Crumbs on the floor. Dog kibble in the corner. And this is the room I had allegedly been "upgraded" to.2. Dated, worn fixtures. What might have looked great 30 or 40 years ago is faded into ugly pastel peach and tan. The working fountain at the center of it all was pretty, but blocked by a ring of ugly, graying stone barricade walls and four faded Pepto pink elevator towers. The open-air concept must have looked amazing once with a big open cream tile floor open to the three floors above and a bar toward one side, but it felt like it had been empty for a long time with an abandoned bar and a big open space occupied by heavy iron and glass patio furniture. Because this was a convention, I visited different rooms and I got the impression that the hotel just bought salvaged furniture sets from other hotels and threw them into the rooms that were too badly damaged to be liveable. My room was a mix of styles that leaned toward neo-Victorian particle board with white laminate. My colleague had a room that appeared be inspired by or held over from set of The Brady Bunch. Just as broken3. The Restaurant is food truck fare. I paid almost $20 for a drink and chicken strips. I get the inflated price because I'm trapped at a restaurant, but the variety of the menu was limited and uninspiring with nothing to tempt me into paying more for a menu item implying some culinary creativity. I could not bill my meal to my room. The breakfast that comes with the room was standard and not good. If you're just after a quick coffee or juice-like beverage, it's fine. The eggs were...off. The potatoes tasted like the previous day's trays had been reheated as they were stale and gummy. If you fry up bacon to be crispy and then let it sit in a steamer, it becomes jerky. That said, the service was solid and I never had an empty drink glass.

I checked in today to stay for two nights. The hotel was old, but I just needed to rest my head somewhere for a business trip. The first red flag was not being able to connect to WiFi. Okay, no big deal. I'll charge my phone and watch TV. No outlets by the bed to charge my phone. Okay. Let me adjust the temperature and get comfortable. It was freezing in the room and turning off the AC didn't really help. I finally got comfortable and decided to call my wife. That's when things went from bad to worse.I got up and noticed a red spot in the bed. Looked closer to see more spots and what looked to be signs of bed bugs. While I didn't spend the night after seeing this (I was in the bed for maybe 15 mins tops) I'm still worried I will bring them home with me. I went immediately to the front desk to check out. While I appreciate the staff refunding me with no questions asked, this should have never happened. If the room is apparently "ready for me" I would expect it to be thoroughly clean. I can only imagine what little the cleaning staff is doing. I appreciate the friendly desk staff, but needless to say, I will never stay here again.

Our stay was a disappointment to say the least. The "updated" room still feels dated much like the rest of the hotel. Dilapidated is the word that comes to mind. The front desk staff was rude upon check-in and the hotel is unconcerned about the guest experience. Bad showers, bad staff, bad atmosphere and bad vibes. The bed was okay. This hotel is worth maybe $70-$80 a night and I'm being generous. The wi-fi doesn't even connect properly. I used a ton of data just doing everyday things. Avoid this hotel.

We booked this hotel due to our house not having ac. Booked for a week and read google reviews that were positive. It was across the street from where we lived so super convenient. Upon arrival, there was musty smell, not good. We got in the room and it was very dated and dark. People were in their cars in the parking lot, smoking or sleeping. No security, people propped doors open and entered the hotel at their leisure. Sketchy guests in and out of the premises. Bathroom was dirty and didn't smell clean. The bedding was very itchy and didn't feel clean. Some stains were noticed on the bedding. Breakfast didn't look appetizing. Parking lot didn't seem very safe. Couldn't sleep the first night, due to guests running across the halls and stomping on the floor above us. We tried to venture to the pool for a swim and there was trash and red solo cups near the water. I wouldn't recommend staying here. For $11 more, we booked a nicer and safer hotel up the street at the Hilton. Not worth the money or hassle to stay here. We stayed one night, and couldn't get out of there faster.

This place could be nice! The hotel looks decent from the outside, the lobby is beat though and very dated looking. Even showing its age, at least the rooms are nice enough. Additionally, the people working here are friendly and helpful.But...that's not enough to hold this place together. It is currently a refugee camp. Seriously! There are people just hanging out in the hallways and out front of the building. Screams come from every direction as hordes of unsupervised children run the halls. The room adjoining mine occupants could have cared less about the no smoking policy as they were having a tok-a-thon. I feel bad for Housekeeping as they are constantly having to remove bags of trash from the front of peoples rooms. It's evident that many of these folks are here on an extended government funded stay and none of these "guests" give a F*!The room was clean but pretty much held together with duct tape. You could say it's on its last leg, especially for the price they charge per night. There are weird little fixes done all over to hold this thing together for just one more guest. Maybe 10 more. For instance, the furniture is so used and soiled I refused to sit on one of the couches. The sink in the bathroom would not shut off immediately, the toilet was barely fastened to the floor etc etc etc.Checking in took longer than expected as there was a line of people waiting to ask to be relocated as they had "neighbors" that fell into the above categories. At first I thought this was a little weird, but I kind of understand now.I'm glad my stay in Tucson was cut short so I didn't have to stay here any longer. I felt more like I was a resident of a halfway house than a guest at a hotel.Think twice before coming here. I was led here by obvious fake google reviews that claimed this to be a way nicer hotel than it appears.
