Looked great! Tasted just ok. Until we stirred it. WAY too much Ricotta cheese.

This place is awesome. It's a small Italian deli/pastry shop. They make all their cookies/pastries in house, including the cannoli filling. They have fresh bread, pastries and food. I ordered a bunch of Italian cookies, a couple cannolis, and a meatball sub. Everything was amazing! The meatballs were full of flavor and moist. The cookies and cannolis were fresh and delicious. Staff were extremely friendly and service was fast. I definitely recommend!

The reviews I've read for Viros have been a little disappointing, however this was not my experience. I wanted to start out by saying I am Italian so the bar is set high by my taste. With that I wanted to start with sandwiches. Fried fish is a thing on Fridays so I tried a sandwich with French fries and coleslaw. Excellent crispy fresh bun and condiments. I really enjoyed it. The star was the combo Italian sandwich with sausage and Italian beef on a hoagie type roll with cheese. Huge. Bigger than I expected. Heavy. That's when you know it's got some good portions of meat. Flavor bursting, hot and actually probable the best Italian sandwich I've had in Tucson. I'll be back for sure. I might even go back today. Gracie Viro's.

The paninis are incredible. No one else in Tucson does proper Italian paninis like them. They also have an insane amount of other products like fresh gelato, Italian pastries, meal prep, and other items. Their potato focaccia sells out really fast and I was lucky enough to get my hands on one. It's really nice and fluffy even before you bake it. I dipped it in some vinegar and oil and it was great. They always have specials and their lunch and dinner menus are fantastic. They even have meal prep items you can buy for last minute family meals like pizza and lasagna and there's a bunch of imported products from Italy. Their butter cookies are incredible and you get one with every panini you order. I've gone here countless times and will keep going back. I love supporting local businesses especially when they have great products and services like this place does.

Joined some friends here because one wanted to try the fish. Everyone but me had the fish. The consensus was the fish was not good. One person sent hers back because she couldn't even cut it and the new piece was still overcooked and rubbery. I had spaghetti with pesto which was OK but way over priced. The small side salad was fine. We will not be returning. The pastries in the cases looked good. Nice try but IMHO a fail.

Bren coming here for years. Service is always good and friendly! The interior is old school deli and restaurant vibes. I really like it. There is imported items available for sale as well. Like tuna in olive oil and strain tomatoes from Sicily. They have a full assortment of homemade cookies and canolies and other authentic Italian treats. Today I got a mortadella sandwhich on sicilian bread. Absolutely delicious. Comes with chips, a cookie, and a mint. 10/10 perfect fresh bread and imported mortadella. Can't ask for much more. Give them a try! Local family! Also have pizzas to go frozen and all the fixens to take home to make your own on a family or date night!!!

Not bad. Though I need to give it another try.I had the cheese pizza. Wasn't that impressed, but not turned off, either. Way too much cheese, it was so rich. Very old style crust and I didn't like that as much. They have lots of pastries and of course, other Italian items. I did try the cannoli and it was enjoyable, true to the positive reviews here. There was definitely a steady stream of regulars walking away with pastries and entrees.5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money.4* = Outstanding. Tucson-top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business.3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it.2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money.1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

I was looking for a couple of scoops of green Italian olives, and not finding that I discovered and ate a delicious cheese and mushroom calzone! The tomato sauce was perfect! Good service: order at counter and meal is brought to you in a good-sized seating area. Many other people here enjoying spaghetti, fish fry, piping hot soup and gelato! I have no room for gelato or any of the pastries today. Having just returned from Sicily it was interesting seeing the flag. Will have to keep this place in mind for future lunch stops. Busy place, but seats are available as tables are cleaned quickly for incoming people.

We went for a quick lunch snack. We had cream puffs and my son got a mini orange eclair. He didn't like it much and our cream puffs were extremely sweet. The custard had a different taste that I couldn't pin point, almost like almond extract. We weren't huge fans and I was a bit let down that they didn't have anything with Italian Buttercream. The cookies were dry and kind of bland. We didn't try the food but it did smell really good.

A fantastic little gem on the Eastside! I ordered the meatball sub, and it was hands down the best meatball sub I've ever had in my life. The meatballs are MASSIVE, and the sauce-to-cheese ratio was perfect. The bun it is served on is crispy yet soft and delicious. Top notch. My husband ordered the fish fry, and we were surprised to see that his fish was tender and firm. Some fried fish falls apart when you put the malt vinegar on it and dip it in tartar, but not here! Deliciously crispy and thick pieces of fish. We also ordered a couple of Italian sodas and some gelato. Both were great. Service was also pleasant. There's a young wait staff here, so it may not be your 5-star fine dining experience, but they're all lovely and willing to go above and beyond. We will return!
