I have never stayed anywhere like this! This little gem is off the main drag of Tombstone, AZ, but within walking distance to all the tourist activities. When we arrived we were greeted by Melinda. She was amazing. Check in was smooth, we went right to our room to freshen up and get out on the town for dinner. The room was clean and just perfect. The dining area was set up with 4 tables for breakfast the next morning. This is as country as it gets. It reminded me of my grandmas house and brought back fond memories of growing up country. The breakfast was perfect the next morning. It's quiet at night, has a fire pit to sit and enjoy the evenings and you may see wild life. We love it so much we are going back in December for a longer stay. Cannot wait to see how this place is fancied up for Christmas. If you haven't been to Tombstone, it's definitely worth it. Our kids (12,9) have a blast as well. If you do go, give Virgil's a try.

First experience with a B& B. Just a short 2-block walk to the center of town. Room and common area were clean and inviting - but not enough coffee cups avail evening or mornings- 7 ppl stayed, 4 cups on the shelf for the whole weekend. Host was pleasant, but after promising a homemade breakfast Sunday morning, slept in past alarm and apologized at checkout. Within a week we received a handwritten letter of apology and enclosed check for missing breakfast. We are grateful for their efforts to right their mistake.

This is a little gem in the heart of tombstone! We checked in and we're welcomed by Mike who was cleaning our room. He gave us a tour of the room and the entire house. Everything was just like grandmas house cute and welcoming. The next day Mike cooked breakfast AMAZING! This entire experience was incredible and MIKE was always making sure we were comfortable and constantly checking if we needed anything! We will be back!!!!

This is our third annual stay at Virgi's and as usual, we had a very nice time. However, some of the attention to detail is missing after Joyce left. We stayed 5 days with a group and had all rooms occupied. This is our observations. First the Pros:- The B&B is just off Allen street so it is a short walk to all fo the attractions.- The common area is big with plenty of seating for guests and friends.- There is a gas fired fire pit outside that is very nice to sit around on cool desert evenings.- The B&B has a nice charm and ambiance that makes for a comfortable stay.- You have full use of the kitchen and other facilities. The Cons: (suggestions to the staff)- More attention to detail when it comes to the cleanliness of the facility. It could use a deep cleaning.- The bathrooms in the guest rooms should be serviced daily and the trash in the common areas and rooms should be emptied daily. - Breakfast was satisfactory but rather common. Simple fair such as scrambled eggs (every day) a meat side and toast. If you have traveled using B&Bs you are usually used to a breakfast that might be simple, yet elegant, such as eggs benedict or something other than what you can get at the local cafe. (Side note we had to cook our own breakfast the final day as the cook had an emergency)- The WiFi was intermittent and acted like the B&B had hit some sort of data cap so our group had to rely on their phone data plans for most of our stay. We will stay here again next year and I do recommend Virgil's if you are looking for a nice B&B in Tombstone.

Full disclosure: I'm not a bed and breakfast kinda guy. I mean, really, what man is? Bed and breakfasts are, as a rule, designed for the female consumer. There's just something emasculating about sleeping in a bed that could pass for an over-sized Victorian bassinet. And then having to wake up after a night of drinking and exchange pleasantries with Aunt Gertude? If I wanted such nonsense, I'd stay with my Aunt Gertrude. But when staying the night in Tombstone, your options are somewhat limited. What this town really needs is a restored brothel. Now THAT's my kinda bed and breakfast. All that aside, this place was awesome. Great bang for your buck. Large, comfortable rooms with all the modern amenities, without sacrificing period touches (claw foot bathtub!). Breakfast was delicious, and although the proprietors are there to give advice about what to see and do during your stay, they respected your privacy and didn't ask any uncomfortable questions (are you married? what do you do for a living? why did you come home shirtless at 2 am? etc.)Highly recommended.

Staff was so friendly and helpful especially with us checking in late. Breakfast was yummy and we could walk to everything in town! We stayed during Helldorado days and it was perfect. The history of just the building itself was great to experience. Definitely looking forward to staying again!

Quaint little B&B. The room was absolutely amazing. We had old furniture that aided the ambiance. Wrought Iron beds with western design. The linen was perfect. We stayed in a double room as we brought our two children. The bathroom had a very old porcelain clawfoot tub. They also provided green tea lotion, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and soap. There was plenty offered for breakfast; eggs, sausage, tortillas, pancakes, juice, jams, syrup, cereal. Coffee & tea. They have a fire pit outside and they are in walking distance to absolutely everything.
