This was my first time in the new expanded space. It's really lovely, but on a Saturday night just before a holiday, also very loud. The service wasn't quite as good as usual, but I'd chalk that up to being there at the same time as two 12-15 person parties vs anything more serious. Cocktails were great as always. I didn't have an appetizer this time, but my dining companion was very impressed with the Tequenos de Queso. I was about to order ceviche for dinner, when a server brought a gorgeous rice dish topped with seafood to a nearby table. I asked about it- while in the menu it's described as a Chinese style fried rice, it was really more of a paella. It didn't disappoint as my entree- it was amazing, and the seafood very tender. For dessert I went with my staple flan and it was delicious as always.

While in Tucson, we stopped by Villa Peru for dinner on a Sunday evening. Recommended by a friend of mine, I will never say no to a Peruvian restaurant. Located in a busy shopping center, we were able to find a parking spot. Ambiance (4.5/5): Compared to most Peruvian restaurants I have been to, Villa Peru is on the fancier side. They have a patio outside but we were seated in their beautiful interior. They have an open kitchen so you can see the staff doing their thing. Nice experience all-around. Service (4/5): Our waiter did a good job taking care of us throughout the evening (we had a group of four). No complaints. Drinks (2/5): This was the only real portion of my experience here which was a problem. I ordered a chicha morada, which is the classic Peruvian purple juice. It was served in a small glass with ice in it and you don't get free refills. The type of glass which would have been appropriate for a child. Come on!Food (4/5): I had the Peruvian half-chicken with potato wedges. Peruvian roasted chicken is always great as its succulent and the blend of spices are delicious. Good portion size and you get a couple of different sauces. Always nice for a saucy guy like me. I also tried a bit of the lomo saltado and the chaufa rice. The lomo is perhaps the most popular Peruvian dish. The meat wasn't as tender as I would have liked. The chaufa rice, on the other hand, with shrimp, was my favorite dish of the evening. If you've never tried Peruvian food before, change that ASAP. While I took a potty break, there was an article in the bathroom that said that this restaurant was rated one of the best restaurants in the country for ceviche. Looks like I missed out! Next time.

I really wanted to love Villa Peru. We had a lovely evening there with friends last night, In spite of the food. Not because of it. The space and atmosphere is definitely cool, and that's where the good part of the review ends. I'm trying to wrap my head around all the positive reviews. I found the food to be largely bland and not the slightest bit exciting. Not to mention grossly overpriced. Oops, I just mentioned it. Our table of 6 tried many different appetizers, six entrees, including some from the lobster fest menu and three desserts, and we all shared bites. I can honestly say there is not one thing I had that I will want again. The menu is huge! And maybe that's part of the problem. Maybe if they narrowed down the offerings and arranged them on the menu in a way that made sense, it would be easier to hit on something outstanding. Our server was nice and fun, but often not to be found when needed. To be fair the place was packed. But all I kept wondering is why?

Came during lobster fest, amazing dishes. I think this has become my new favorite place. Service, drinks, food and dessert did not disappoint.. It was incredibly busy on a Saturday night but the waiter was still super attentive, food was on point. The decor is cute and homie.

I had been to this place several times but it was my first time after they expanded. Their decor is stunning and reminds me of fancy Peruvian restaurants in Miami. As for their food, I think it got much better since I went last time. Their ceviche is really good! And everything we had that night was delicious. The server who served us was very friendly and took a very good care of us .

I previously came here for a Valentine's Day dinner and had a magnificent experience. I came here again for dinner with the family, and we tried a lot of dishes.Trio of ceviche: we tried the villa peru with seafood, one with conchas (clams), and another seafood ceviche for the ceviche festival. All unique flavors.Papa rellena - crispy appetizer with the sauce. Wagyu Salgado - tender wagyu.Peruvian tomahawk - excellent flavors and perfect for sharing. Chilean seabass - hands down my favorite dish with the perfectly cooked fish and seasoning. Arroz con Mariscos - seafood and rice, yes! This paella was tasty. Chicha morado - purple corn, pineapple, cinnamon, and fresh lime juice

This place was amazing to eat. The food was delicious, the service was amazing, and the ambiance was great. The paella was amazing and every scoop had seafood in it. Now that was worth the price. The Malbec from Argentina was fantastic and bursting with flavor. The meat was very tender and juicy. We will be coming back.

Great service and food! We had an excellent time at Villa Peru. The owners were very friendly and made some great recommendations. We had the prefixed New Year's eve menu and everything was delicious. For $85, we had a 3 course meal and with a few cocktails the bill was about $150 per person. I will definitely come back to try items off their actual menu. Everything was prepared well and the service was impeccable! Cheers!

My husband love this place and have been here a couple of times now. We are early riser people so we eat dinner pretty early since we go to bed early and both times we've eaten here near opening so service has always been so quick and top notch. The pisco sour is the best drink to pair with ceviche. My favorite ceviche is the Leche de Tigre and I also loved one that I don't currently see on their online menu that had passionfruit! For my meal, I am obsessed with the eggy pasta dish Villa Peru Linguini. This is a pricey place so plan to eat here less for a date night and more for special occasions.

Train your staff better on customer service! We did a walk-in last night and the front host said that you all didn't have any available seats if we didn't have a reservation and the next reservation would be at 6:30pm. We came in at 5pm, but she said we can sit at the bar area and showed us back and told us there were no seats, there was a table that just needed to be cleared, so we decided to go next door to Sullivans to have dinner and spent our money there.I decided to check your reservations on OpenTable while we were having dinner next door, since your dining room was empty. It was untrue that you didn't have reservations until 6:30pm. I even made a reservation at 5:30pm to see if I would get a text confirmation about my reservation, but I did not! What an unprofessional establishment!
