Villa Mexican Food

So this place is pretty good with a good price point to their food.Their beans are off the hook good. The staff is friendly and attentive. I got chicken tacos and they were pretty damn good and the salsa is great too. Their lemonades are refreshing, and I recommend them!I would say the only odd thing I noticed is the distinct lack of pork on the menu. My go to would usually be pork chili Verde or Carnitas. Wasn't dissatisfied I just thought it was odd.

Great food and great service! I had the Villa 1989 Burrito ($13.99). Chips and salsa were fresh and very good. Ambiance was basic cafe style located in a strip mall. Highly recommended for the food!

I have to first say that I believe this a very underrated Mexican restaurant.To start, the chips and salsa were very fresh, our server even said that she just made that batch of salsa herself (which was great). There was nobody at the restaurant, so we had 0 wait time and even if there were people, the place is huge and can easily fit a crowd and large parties.All the food was so good, from the chicken and steak fajitas, to the enchiladas, and tacos. The beef tacos were the best, the crispiness of the shell was the perfect vessel for the flavor of the shredded beef. We also got a shredded beef tostada that was amazing (sorry my dad ate it before I could snap a photo and same thing happened with the churros)! We ended with the churros that were gobbled up in 2 seconds. Our server who was very attentive; was shocked to see the churro disappear so quickly when she stepped away to get our check.Overall, my family who were visiting from out of town absolutely loved it and want to go back every time they come back. However, I know I will be there sooner than that! Delicious ! (Get the shredded beef tacos or tostada!!)

I thought I had reviewed this place before but apparently not. The first time there (3 years ago), the food and atmosphere/service was good. It's typical Mexican food, nothing fancy but satisfying.This time, I met a group there for lunch. I was the first one there, secured a table (the place was empty) and was brought chips and salsa and my drink. I was asked if I wanted lemon or lime in my water; I said lime would be nice. It took 10 minutes to get my water - with lemon. Again, the place was empty. I tried the chips and salsa. The salsa was more like ketsup - no tang, spiciness; really bland and flavorless.The rest of the group arrived. We waited 10 minutes for the server to show up, with one of the group finally getting up and going to find him. And the place was still empty except for us and he had seen the rest of the group walk in.The server brought more chips and salsa and took drink orders. Another 10 minutes and he came back and took our food orders. When asked if the special had chicken in it, he had no idea and did not offer to check. Most of the group ordered the special. I ordered the Casuela soup and it was delicious. The rest of the group said their food was good.I would have rated the place 2 stars, but one said this was a favorite place and asked that I not rate them that low. I'll be hard pressed to go back when there are many places with better service and good salsa.

The chicken fajitas were delicious!!! Refried beans were good but I didn't care for the rice( but that's me). Caldo de queso was really good. I think $8 might be a little high for the small bowl but I would definitely get it again. I actually ordered one to go! Why I didn't give it a 5 star review would be because it was a little slow(they needed more help) it was really dark( needed more lights on) . I will be back

I have lived nearby for many years but never tried this establishment untilrecently. And that is my fault! The carne seca is fantastic! I recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting good food at a decent price and good atmosphere.

Wife and I did a CHEESE CRISP TOUR of Tucson, sampling from several restaurants. My wife was born in Tucson and grew up with cheese crisps. Me being from California I had never heard of this unique twist on a quesadilla.Once educated, I fell in love with them.So on this visit, we tried cheese crisps all over town.Villa's wins hands down. The best cheese crisps in Tucson!We also love their chicken tacos, chips & salsa... everything on the menu is excellent. You can't go wrong with any choice.

The chips and salsa served upon arrival were really tasty. I cannot say much about the food because we were not served. Customers who were seated after us were able to order their food AND not only did they order before us but started eating before we could even order our food. We finally walked out and ate elsewhere.

The tacos and the salsa were delicious! The service was quick and friendly! The restaurant has a good atmosphere! ! I'll be back. VERY soon

One of the best Fajitas in town. Pieces sized right. Hot. Plentiful(No sour cream or sides thou)It did come with a tortilla that was actual snap crisp dried out on about half of it, so we are not sure what happened there. I believe they probably didn't know. Something went wrong in the kitchen. My Chimichanga was nice. The right amount for me but it didn't 'rise' too high. Slightly low on ingredients that made it look flat. Great service. All over it.
