I would not recommend this salon. Upon arriving, the first thing I did was show them a picture of the cut and style I wanted. I did not get the style I requested. Far from it. I will never return to this salon. I left very dissatisfied and unhappy.

I (African American licensed stylist) went into this establishment because there was advertisement that they sold product as well. I wasn't going in for a service nor was I expecting to go in there to find some Design Essentials or KeraCare. But, I am familiar w/ Paul Mitchell and I wanted to see what they had. As soon as I walked in, I stated that I just wanted to see their retail. To which then the owner a over middle aged Caucasian women said, "we don't have anything for YOUR hair." She didn't greet me, ask if I was looking for a particular product, not even a how can I help you. Her racism and bigotry was flaming. I would discourage anyone, Black, white and in between from ever giving this establishment their money.

I have loved this salon since my first visit in 1998. I have long, naturally curly hair and need a stylist with great expertise. This definitely is Lidia! The salon is own and run by Lidia and her husband Stan. Besides being great stylists, they are warm and friendly, and an appointment with them is like visiting with old friends. When it comes to hair/beauty services, you get what you pay for. If you want the best, definitely seek out the expertise of Lidia and Stan.

This is by far the worst experience I have ever had with a stylist. My highlights turned out orangish bronze, and when I mentioned it to her, she didn't respond and simply moved my hair around in an attempt to cover up the damage. To add insult to injury, I was charged $167... Highlights for shoulder length hair, only one tone, + a slight trim & bottle of mousse. I have never paid this much to go to a high-end place like Gadabout and certainly did not intend to spend this amount at cluttered, messy strip mall hair salon beside KMart...For that amount, I should walk away feeling and looking amazing. Instead, I was greeted with words of comfort, "it's not that bad", "it will grow out" and "maybe you can have the JTED students fix it for you".I called that evening and for the next two days. No one picked up the phone or returned my messages until three days later. Yvette, the assistant, left a message on behalf of the owners,, Nadine and Vasile, offering to redo my hair but said it would be impossible to refund any portion of the money. Rather than risking even more damage to my hair, I've opted to take the loss and spend even more money having someone at a reputable establishment repair the damage.

Lydia and Stan are wonderful! They stay late to accommodate my work schedule; they both do beautiful work and I am a regular here - every week during the seven months we are in Tucson. Highly recommended!

Untalented and rude, especially the man! Worst hair color, it's like she forgot to tone it but 'did' and it was still orange. Not sure how they're still in business honestly... must be the old woman of Tucson with little to no hair. If you're young and actually want to look like you got your hair done professionally just DONT

I've been coming here for 10 years! I drive all the way here from way up in Oro Valley because Stan and Lydia are SO GOOD. NOBODY else can do my color like Lydia does!! And I would know! She is EXCELLENT! !HIGHLY talented with color........ she knows what she is doing!!PLUS, they do not overcharge. The shop has a wonderful, friendly, European "family" atmosphere to it. They are wonderful people. They both studied hair styling in Europe and both have received many rewards and both are extremely talented. It is so much FUN to come here!!!

Please avoid this place. My wife couldn't find anything else that was open during COVID in Tuscon and we made the mistake of settling here. I am sure that this couple did a great job in the past, but now their salon is just a dirty mirror in what seems to be a lived-in house with a pair of kitchen scissors and a plastic comb. My wife left in tears and was charged $30 even-though she barely let them touch her hair. They asked her 3 times if she wanted highlights (and now I can see why considering what they charge for them!!!) Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else.
