Totally unprofessional and horrible workmanship! I wanted to support a local business so I had Vail Vintage design a custom corn hole set. It was a disaster from the start. I sent over several photos and a hand drawn outline of what I was wanting. I said to please ask me for clarification if needed. They assured me it would be no problem and I didn't hear anything else. Close to my pickup date, I asked to see a preview and only got to see part of the design on a computer screen shot. The font was nothing like I had asked for and the design wasn't either. I had to look up some fonts that I liked and they couldn't come up with anything similar. I went into my own design space to provide an exact font for them. When I picked up my order, the husband rushed to load it into my car and I didn't get a good look until I got home. When I got home I noticed big cracks on the sides, uneven stain that didn't match, wood patching on the bottom that wasn't stained, and that the sides were totally unfinished and not painted white as we discussed several times over messenger. I reached out to them to discuss my dissatisfaction and see how we could make this right and they told me that I'd have to pay to have it fixed and then blocked me. RUN the other direction from this so called business. They are unprofessional, rude, and produce an awful product.

We used Vail Vintage based on their high ratings fromour local community. However our overall experience was disappointing. Mainly we were disappointed with the lack of communication and professionalism from the owner during the entire process. The owner would respond periodically to questions regarding the project and not to other questions. This left us lacking confidence that they had a clear understanding of what we were hoping for, which caused us to become anxious about the actual work being done. Quoted turnaround time was 3 weeks, however it took 6 weeks and the owner never once contacted us to let us know of the delay. In fact I had to ask about it as I needed to schedule movers to help me move the pieces upon completion. When I inquired about the progress around 4 weeks, I received a defensive response from the owner saying she was out of town and that they were doing the" best they could". Ok? Things happen, I get that. Why not just contact me and let me know it's taking longer than the original quoted time? We are all human here and I would have been understanding about the delay. I would have just appreciated being kept informed. The other issue was that this company required payment in full before getting started- red flag I know! However based on local community reviews and people that I know liking their page I felt like it was worth the risk. We felt like they took advantage of us because of this and there was not much we could do. The icing on the cake was when I received a message that my pieces were complete and ready for pickup. This was great news, but I had also been waiting six weeks and was excited to see pictures of the completed project. So of course I asked to see pictures and I get a response saying "she will try" and then sends me some sideways pics of my pieces but nothing fully photographed where I can get a full idea of it all. So fast forward to later that night and I see that she posted a picture of ALL of my pieces put together AND staged to promote her page. Wait what? I couldn't get pictures of my own pieces and now see them on your business page? When the staged pictures were posted they did a "before" and "after" collage using my personal photos I had sent in a private message. I had an issue with them using my before photos because it showed personal photos and items in them, I was not asked nor did I give permission for my pictures to be used. I did message them after seeing the staged photos of my finished pieces, which used my personal "before pics" asking them to just crop my personal info out and then reposting. I was agreeing to let her use them with modifications. However the owner responded with a snarky response saying "I've never had anyone have an issue with us posting our completed work before. No worries I removed them". So I responded and let her know I've never had anyone use my personal photos to promote a business without asking my permission first. Anyhow fast forward to pick up day. . .we picked up our items and overall they looked nice. They did have some blemishes so I pointed them out to the owner to see what could be done. For the main scratch she told me it was the best they could do. So we decided to just live with it. We got home and got everything put together. Despite the owners less than stellar customer service, I wanted to write her a message just to let her know that over all the pieces did turn out nice and we were happy with the work. However I never got the chance because the owner blocked me on her business page. So now I feel compelled to write a review because I have a feeling that the reason there's so many positive reviews is that people get blocked if the owner fears it won't be favorable. Not the best way to do business. We will be sure to let all our local friends know our experience since we weren't given the chance to give an honest review on the Facebook page.
