We've rented a forklift twice now for residential/personal use and both times theyve had same day delivery, and great customer service! Highly recommend.

Shady owner. Faulty equipment or barely running just enough to get your for top dollar. Use anybody else for quality equipment. If you live in Vail and get delivery free I give them 2 maybe 3 stars because the equipment will work but not good and it's all used and abused heavily and slapped back together for the next customers top dollar so the damage waiver might be necessary. Used them several times for free delivery never went to the yard for pick up until this weekend and what a show I was in for. Equipment trailers with wrong size ball hitch 4 pin plug when should be a 7 pin no locking pin for trailer fuel surcharge on electric scissor lift. As a small business owner I will stay away and will not recommend people rent from them anymore

I rented some equipment and I failed to read the fine print until I got home. Not only was I charged a waver damage fee (that I could have declined according to the contract), but I was charged a fuel surcharge above and beyond the rental charge. The employee who rented the equipment did not ask if I wanted to waive the damage fee or even mention it to me. I used about 1/2 gallon of gas, 1/2 of that spilled out of the tank due to a leaking fuel cap. The fuel surcharge worked out to be about $20/gallon! When I returned the equipment I was told tough luck, you wouldn't have been able to rent if you had declined the damage waver. The additional fees amounted to about 35% of the rental fee. Talk about bait and switch! This was the first and last time I will be a customer of Vail Equipment Rentals! I will go out if my way to avoid this company.

If I could rate this at No Stars I would! My initial call to them was good. Spoke to Hilary she was helpful, nice, understanding. I did call her back at one point and left her a message and she didn't call back. The next day I spoke to Christy ( I believe) and she was decent to, however when I also called her back and left a message, she didn't return my call either. But that was ok I could let that go because in the end we got the forklift and that's what we needed, the job got done etc. so fine. However... when I ordered the forklift I explained to Hilary we were not sure if we would need it for 1 or 2 days it would just depend on how much we could get done. We decided we would rent it for 24 hours ( we picked it up at 300pm on Friday) and if we needed it longer then 24 hours to just keep it and we would be charged either an additional 4 hours or 24 hours depending on when it was dropped off. Now being that it was the weekend and they said they closed Saturday at 1pm and they were not open Sunday, I asked how do we handle the drop off. Both my husband was told when he picked it up and I was told on the phone when I asked " just give us a call, if it's after hours the owner will come let you in the gate" ok wow well thats nice and that was that. Saturday at 2pm, less then 24 hours later. I call Vail equipment to let them no we are on the way to drop off fork lift. No answer so I leave a message.. I give it a few minutes and try to call a few more times thinking dang maybe I was supposed to get owners number to meet us. Finally a guy answered the phone (around 3pm) I explain the situation and he says, we are closed, you have to return it tomorrow. I tell him maybe he isn't aware of the situation, and I tell him Hilary said we can call to drop off anytime and owner will meet us. He tells me how he has been waiting an hour and I expect him to wait all day and he is leaving it has to be dropped off tomorrow. I then ask if there is a way I can speak with the owner and he says he is the owner. I tell him again this is what your employee told us. Hilary told us to call and you would let us in. He says we closed at 1pm and I'm not going to sit around all day and wait I am leaving now. As I proceed to ask well when can we drop it off tomorrow since you are closed, he hangs up on me! I immediately call my husband as he is on his way to Sahuarita from downtown Tucson to drop off the forklift. Now he attempts to call, and get the owner again and explains the situation. The owner tells him they are closed, that Hilary didn't say we could drop it off whenever and hangs up! He calls back, gets voicemail and tells the owner on voicemail.. hey this is crap customer service, I have to return your forklift like take it up with your employee for telling us the wrong info. He calls back again as we arnt sure what to do or when we can even drop it off, now he gets female, I believe Christy who basically argues over the fact that we were not given the information we were, after us telling them we are dropping the forklift off at the shop, we are told they are going to charge us an extra day then she hangs up! We get to the shop.. the gates open, cars are parked there, a few guys are there working on a concrete job, one guy is there dropping off a tractor, so we pull in drop the tractor off and the trailer and as we are doing that, out comes the owner to chat with some of the guys in the yard! Nothing was said, we dropped equipment off and left.. This is unacceptable from a business. Not only to hang up, but there was obviously no reason for him to tell us we can't drop it off. Not to mention his equipment leaked all over a brand new driveway. I would never recommend this company due to the way they treated us!!!

They provided safe and reliable services with ease in order to meet my landscaping needs along with an extended level of patient customer service to satisfy my wife's requests! Nowadays, with time limitations and busy work schedules, it's nice to know that heavy equipment rentals and services are so easily accessible and THEY deliver - so, no hassle; simply quick and easy. Rent it yourself, or use their qualified heavy equipment operators. I highly recommend Vail Equipment Rentals, and will definitely use them again!
