US Post Office

I've used this post office on & off for at least 25/30 years . Today walked in rare no waiting with 2usps agents manning the counter .Besides stamps , postage , mailing envelopes they also sell cards .The lobby is quite big/long with automatic doors ( all post offices? Grant rd also ) .Letter drop off lane on n side followed by post office parking . River rd w of Campbell s side it can be challenging to access going west on river #tmi tip I u turn at first light w of Campbell past Tierra Antigua realty . Glad to hear post office and postal workers haven't been pushed out by the new government cutbacks .

Updating this review for the customer service at this post office. We've had some trouble lately with mail and the folks at this location have been very helpful. It's nice that you can actually speak someone over the phone and in person locally. While it's not ideal for packages to not get delivered, they were proactive and that helpful.

Quick and easy in and out! Went there around lunch time midweek and it was only one other person there.

The worst Post Office that ever existed in the whole history of post offices. I filled out a forward when I moved, but they did not honor it. Went back several times over a period of six months to ask them to fix the problem and each time they say OK, it's working now, and yet it is not. I sent myself letters that don't get forwarded to me. I sent myself an AirTag to track what is happening to my mail and sure enough it is stopped at their post office and then just gets tossed in the trash. Nothing you can do about it. They are just horrible, horrible horrible, and unprofessional.

Never answer their phone. It'll give a dial tone after almost 4 minutes on hold. I ordered a mailbox key (was told take about 7-10 days) and it's been 2 weeks. There's no way to ask about it, unless I drive up there to see if it's ready or not.

I moved from the 85719 to 85718! I had proper forwarding to my new address! But I i have had a few pieces of mail, including mail with much needed checks enclosed sent back to sender!! WHY???? Everything else was forwarded!! Get it together!!!

I have moved probably a dozen times in the last 50 years. Never had problems in other areas like with this Post Office. Weeks after we moved here, no mail was being delivered addressed to US even though proper forwarding was done in the state we moved from. But we were getting all kinds of mail addressed to former occupants. Went to the Post Office and spoke with the guy in charge. He said they would not deliver mail unless we came in and TOLD THEM we were not the residents of a residential address that had been in existence for over 40 years? Never had to do that anywhere else and when asked, he could not produce anything in writing that backed up his claim that this was "required"? He further stated that while other Post Offices may not enforce this rule, his did. Brought up that our mailbox was full of mail coming to numerous former occupants. He further assured me that once our local postman put just mine and my wife's names inside the box... that would cease and ONLY mail delivered to us would be placed in our mail box. Well... we have literally received thousands of different mailings in the years since addressed to former occupants going back at least 15 years. Two were on mailing lists for cruises, cookware, charities, along with a dozen or so more places you could order products from. I Googled the guy who built this house in the early 1980's, he was a prominent real estate developer. Online, it said he died in 2009... you guessed it, we still get mail addressed to him. So much for we will ONLY deliver mail addressed to the current occupants we listed on the inside of the mail box. When I have went into the Post Office, the people have been helpful and friendly other than the guy I was referred to who was in charge. His explanations and assurances were both illogical and have not proven to be accurate.

BEST PO IN TUCSON :-) There is rarely any long lines. Other Tucson POs are always loooong waits.

Every time I've been to this post office on River for the past 6 or 7 years, staff have been consistently polite and helpful! Thank you all for providing excellent service!
