This is an update of my previous review. I have found that calling exactly at 8am will get you in touch with their office staff easily and have had very pleasant interactions with Veronica in Surgical SchedulingI was seen by Dr Manger and I have to give him 10 stars or more. Very pleasant and pleasantly humorous when the situation is appropriate. He performed surgery on my renal mass and was simply wonderful during my hospital stay, he listened to any concerns I had and had a great attitude. He is obviously a very skilled surgeon as the renal mass had some surprises for him when I was "opened up". My dad was a physician so I am put off by docs who have a God complex and Dr Manger does NOT suffer from that delusion. He is a very kind man, and obviously cares deeply for his patients. Of all the physicians I have seen in Tucson he ranks in my top 5. If you have a choice of doctors when being seen at this clinic, choose Dr Manger, you will be in excellent hands. Thanks to the entire staff also for their care and compassion.

Recommendation: NO. See edited review below dated 20 April 2022. I have since decided after much review and thought, to downgrade the review to one star as the deficiencies of this site continue without resolution. You must put up with a lot here, there seems to be a vapid context to good communication. As a recently retired Vet, I'm shocked at how inept and dysfunctional this specialty clinic is for communication. The sheer volume of Tucson personnel requiring medical assistance in this field, including Veterans and the functional core care at this facility is mind boggling. Senior level Management; take note and please be involved here.To date as of 2022:1) Billing for some reason as a new patient couldn't be accomplished correctly. This took months to correct without any team member picking up the phone to call, apologize and communicate a correction. Severe lack of communication.2) Departing business 1st time, intervened with a sorely trained female counter representative who certainly requires more customer service training to say the least. I'll leave it at that...3) Second visit; in speaking with another PA, there was conversation that the communication (at this location) could certainly improve as complaints have been received here before, and Staff members here are aware of this. I concurred that attending personnel need to be considered for higher level training.4) Appointment results: After having an appointment aligned, I requested a phone consult instead of driving almost an hour to hear a yes/no answer. They 'couldn't' do this as it wasn't a 'phone consult' day. How absurd could this possibly be? I stated, my appointment time was set up, and you're stating the PA can NOT pick up a phone to call the recipient?? They again claim, the 'system' won't allow them to do this. Clearly, this is beyond amateurish and dysfunctional. If anything, COVID taught us for sure, medical communication and conveyance CAN be done through a telephone. The sheer ineffectuality to accomplish this says a lot about the makeup of this facility. 5) An individual named 'Kat' called and left a VM for me that she was concerned about a past visit and the shared communication of an employee's brash tone. I quickly attempted a call back, couldn't connect with her and left her a VM. I continued to call over the next 4/5 days to reach out to the Manager in hopes to communicate, all the while never being able to reconnect to Kat(sp). All VM's to said individual were never returned, never reciprocated and never heard from again. There certainly is an issue at this specialty clinic and it's unconventional for sure. The care from the attending PA has been above reproach; the care from the Staff and Manager have been insentient.UPDATE: 20 Apr 2022. Currently, the communication from this facility fails beyond comparison that should not go into a review. The failure of the manager to be contacted in addition to communicating with the doctor has been in an unequivocal failure that defies logic. I have been misled by several phone attendees that my P/A would be contacting me, all of which has failed for over three additional weeks. 'Kat' , the supposed manager has yet to return a phone call and seems to be too preoccupied to be concerned with the abhorrent reviews already dedicated to this site through Yelp and Google. My next course of action will be to communicate with the Board of Director's or higher echelon of leadership. It is never fun to identify such negative values for a business, but when it fails and otherwise fails to communicate, you have a dilemma that must be looked at. I was specifically told that my physician would contact me back for a phone consult. Three weeks later a different phone technician states "she's not able to do that kind of communication". The frustration of trying to get your results and communicate on a very basic level is mine boggling and deficient like I have never seen before at any other medical facility around the globe. I do not recommend as facility for anyone.

Oh my God. Do not go here. They have nearly killed me more than I can tell you. This is the most inept offices in the entire world. It will take you four dozen phone calls to literally then still have them screw your issue up, miscommunicated and the ball completely dropped. The staff literally on the phone chooses what messages to put through to your doctor and they reword things instead of telling the doctor exactly what you are talking about. They make assumptions and literally the phone staff does diagnosis and determines whether or not your issue will actually reach anybody further. That's literally the front office staff quizzing you and questioning you and then ACTUALLY RECOMMENDING TREATMENT!! I was begging for catheters because I intermittent cath. Literally begging to the point of tears. Got hung up on got told I was insane. I'm still sitting here without catheters. Over a week ago the front office staff literally told me that what I am supposed to do with a single youths catheter is instead of dispose of it I am supposed to soak it in vinegar and reuse it. Even though what has put me in a coma twice and caused me seizures is severe deadly UTI infections. But they will not allow me to talk to anyone else and they will not help me. But for office staff to DIAGNOSE AND TREAT is insane! Absolutely insane and if you try to talk to them about the fact that their office is poorly run they have such a horrible office manager that instead of dealing with the problem she will put it back on you and gaslight you and try to make you think that you have the problem. I've dealt with more than one narcissist in my life. And I'm not the problem I'm simply trying to get decent medical attention from my urologist which I love dearly but the office is run like slapstick comedy. Unfortunately the narcissistic office manager who takes absolutely no accountability for how the place is actually run or all of the problems I have experienced will be the death of someone soon! If my urologist were not at this office I would change in a minute but I need my urologist because I could die at any minute without her. So it is truly a PTSD situation I find myself in at this office. Held hostage by the worst office staff I have ever seen in my entire life in any business at all. They are horrible. If you have some choice to start your medical treatment somewhere else please do yourself a favor and do that. Do not get involved with an office that cannot even offer you support. I can even go back to the fact that I have been with this office over two years. Long-term patients can even attest to the fact that they care so little about their patients and it's all about money because they literally had such a horrible phone system for a long time that we went through long periods of time where we could not even reach the office at all and a day or two later we would find out that it was the phone system not allowing any outside calls to get through. Rather than get on that and immediately fix the system. We went through months of it before the powers that be decided to spend any money at all fixing the situation. What kind of office especially medical does not care if their phones do not work for several days at a time???? That is just one actual example of how this place runs. Do not go here. I caution you with everything in my being. Do not start your care here find someone else!!! The one star rating is simply because I have to give a rating of some sort of star. But honestly if there was a way to call the police and have this office staff arrested for attempted murder that is what should happen. Especially to the absolutely horrible manager who refuses to accept ANY responsibility for anything EVER. It's always some excuse with this one. Constant excuse or deflection as to why it's the patient's issue. Again I'm not stupid and I'm not a difficult person. I'm only difficult when I'm driven to the point of absolute PTSD and insanity by a staff that has abused me to the point of a breakdown by the time I can even get to the help. And of course she turns that and uses it against you in the most exacting form of gaslighting that anyone who understands what a narcissistic process that is could understand. It's a horrible experience to deal with this office. Just HORRIBLE!

I guess it's a good practice. But no water, no toilet and no wifi. Too hot out not to have a drilling fountain or bottled water. Also really bad for a urologist office,!!

Well run clinic. Efficient digital check in, staff helpful and knowledgeable, unusually diligent at follow up phone calls and resolving any issues. Dr. Barmatz was very professional, great bedside manner. Highly recommend her and her partners.

My husband was referred for evaluation of his prostate. Initial greeting by Dr Choi was nothing but ugly. Dr. Choi began telling my husband how sick he was not by talking to him or asking him his story or how he felt but by looking at numbers and forms sent from a previous physician which were not correct. You can't even make an appointment without a referral and records and then Choi was looking at inaccurate information. My husband was not asked how he felt or what his concerns were. My husband refused care by this Dr due to the unprofessional behavior. My husband felt no true concern or compassion by any of the staff from the initial phone call to schedule the appointment to the letter we received by certified mail that the "Patient-physician" relationship was terminated and we would not be allowed to see any other physician in this practice. We paid $85 co-pay to feel abused and thrown out like garbage. I am a nurse of 40+ years and have never experience such poor professional behavior. I don't write reviews but felt this had to be said to assist others from paying money for unprofessional care.

Staff is inept. My husband had an appointment which we had confirmed two days prior. Apparently, the doctor called in on the same day as this appointment to say that he could not be there. No one called to let my husband know about this! I spoke to someone named "Christina" who confirmed both my husband's cell number + our home phone number. She had no explanation as to why no one bothered to call and reschedule the appointment. Unbelievable!

I was seen at 2260 W Orange Grove Tucson 85741. The Physician end of the practice maybe "OK or Great", but the billing (866-681-2335) never "answers" and the staff answering (520-795-5830) have very poor attitudes.

The woman at the front desk was very unfriendly and borderline rude. Without even saying hello she curtly said that I was supposed to arrive 30 minutes early to sign paperwork. I was actually 18 minutes early. I told her I was sure I could complete it in the 18 minutes. She spent about five of those minutes calling the PA in the back to see if she would still see me or she said she would have to reschedule me. Completely ridiculous. I was then given the tablet and told that the PA said to hurry. I filled everything out in 11 minutes, with three minutes to spare for my 11:15 appointment time. They did not call me back until 11:25. Not sure why they chose to make this such an unpleasant experience. The PA was nice but I don't know if I will be back. When I looked at the rude persons name tag so I could include it in this review, it was purposely turned backwards.....

This review pertains specifically to billing practices. After being awakened shortly after 8 a.m. this morning by a call from "Urological Assoc. of S. AZ" (re caller ID) and answering to hear a recording to contact a certain collection agency, I hung up. My very first bill (~$25) was sent less than a week ago. I phoned the billing dept. to ask what was going on and was told that apparently Urological Assoc. uses this "collection agency" phone strategy as soon as the patient has any balance, even one less that ONE week old. Maybe this is one way to save 50 cents in postage, I don't know. The BBB will be informed.
