Urbano Bar & Bistro

This place was amazing. The vibe is more urban/dinner dining. The prices were fair considering the portions and the staff was quick. They had great recommendations. I got a spicy margarita to drink, spinach artichoke dip, poke yaki, and their version of a lava cake. Everything had amazing flavor. I will totally be coming back to enjoy more of their food.

I came here last week for dinner and the music, the ambiance and service were great. Today not so much. Oh the fish and chips were fine, although I think some Cole slaw or a small salad would have been a nice addition.The problem was that I had the nerve to come in alone, and I was definitely treated like a second class citizen. There were plenty of seats available and they initially sat me at the darkest and most obscure table possible like I had the plague. Then the waitress failed to bring the malt vinegar I asked for and I also wanted hot sauce and catsup and could not get her attention at all. I had to go get it myself. Then when I wanted to get a take out box I again had to get up because when I tried to wave her down she never looked my way again after the first time when she brought my food. Very unattentive to say the least. Not saying I would never go back but I was very disappointed.

Hidden right outside of the drag of the main city filled with chains and fast food, Urbano sits off to the side of the road. Entering into the restaurant you are met with a trendy cozy spot filled with jazz music and comfortable furniture. The staff is friendly and great with conversation. The lights are kept low and sustains a relaxed atmosphere. The bar has a wide variety of both craft beers, local favorites and staples (available both in the fridge from a fan or on tap). The food is top notch and and each menu item reinforces a fine dining experience. This place is perfect for individuals who are looking for a nice date night but don't want to drive to Tucson for the same experience.

The ambiance is really good. The food is really great, although a little pricey {such is inflation these days}. They offer fun events on the weekend. If you are looking for a date night or drinks with friends, cocktails or coffee, it's a fun environment.

We've eaten here three times: one time was for Valentine's Day, another time for our anniversary, and the last time for a corporate event. The vegan penne Alfredo is basically oat milk and cornstarch with some salt and pepper added, I can do better at home, super blah and bland. The bruschetta was buried under so much diced tomato it was difficult to dicern what it was. And for the corporate event, the stuffed Portobello mushroom was simply a portobello mushroom cap with creamed spinach slathered on top; it was served with mashed potatoes and some veggies and everyone's food was served tepid in temperature. The last meal was $5O per plate per guest and the staff acted like they were doing us some sort of favour. I gave the place three chances but it's a complete miss for me, which is a shame because the actual venue is eclectic and charming....but you can't eat eclectic and charming.

I haven't been to Urbano's since it transitioned into a bar and bistro. I had read some of the earlier reviews which kept me away.Today I met with a colleague for.lunch. She likes this place and invited me to try lunch here. We sat outside in the sun. Service was fast and friendly. We each had caramel iced coffee and a sandwich. I had a tasty carbonara sandwich with a soggy bun; my friend had a turkey sandwich.It was nice being outside. The patio is roomy and well decorated, and the back of the main room still feels like a coffee shop.It was a pleasant experience and I will be back.

Stopped in with some friends right before closing and the staff were absolutely amazing! Our waitress Chris was super helpful. Had a wonderful set of sunrise sandwiches that were to die for! 5 out of 5 all around!

The place is very niche, almost hipster without being too full of themselves, and every table/seat is mismatched. There's a wall of books, games, and puzzles in the back (I saw a CSI game that I beelined to, but It's missing the game board lol boo) but don't let any of that come across as a complaint because I love this place. Friendly (albeit it busy) staff, lots of options for food and drink. More on the expensive side than not, but totally worth it. I have had the spinach salad in the past which was pretty good but today had the eggstastic burger and let me tell you, I was doing the happy fat-girl food dance because it was so delicious. Yolky egg, bacon, garlic aioli, on a brioche bun with the best waffle fries. My brother had the chicken Caesar which he goes there for specifically and one of the special italian type sodas with cream. They ran out of his favorite blackberry for today, but his orange one was great he said. The ambiance is great, and there's so much you can distract yourself with if eating alone. Theres a coffee bar there as well and coffee beans/grinds (I think theres grinds but not positive) that you can buy to bring home. Overall I definitely recommend this small place, if busy they are worth the wait. Lots of couches and easy chair options as well.

I've been coming to Urbano for years and their menu expands & gets better & better. It's kept me eating so healthy! I routinely buy their roasted espresso beans, nothing compares!

Foood is amazing!!!! Cafecito delicioso! Amanda I was very nice and welcoming. Michelle made the best drinks! It's definitely a vibe!!! If you're planning to go make sure you aren't on a time crunch.
