Urban Fresh

What a gem! I was fortunate enough to come across Urban Fresh while looking for breakfast while in town with a colleague. We started next door and realized immediately that there were no vegan/gluten free options. The friendly gentleman working at that restaurant recommended Urban Fresh, but unfortunately, it wasn't going to open for another 20 minutes or so. While we were standing outside trying to figure out our next steps, the owner of Urban Fresh came out and welcomed us in even though he wasn't open for the day yet. He was incredibly friendly and offered the best hospitality--a rarity these days. On top of the very warm welcome, we were served delicious fresh, healthy, plant based deliciousness. I definitely recommend exploring the selection of baked goods and trying the chilaquiles. You will not be disappointed! A big thank you again to this lovely restaurant for the genuine hospitality and wonderful food! I will definitely return during my next visit to Tucson.

Urban Fresh is a hidden gem of downtown Tucson that everyone MUST try!I had a salad and the breakfast burrito and WOW so fresh! The owners Chauncey and Dana really care about the food quality and customer experience. It truly deserves the hype!

Just plain good food..."vegan" could easily just be a foot-note. Excellent, creative entrees. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Dog friendly. Priced appropriately. A perfect fusion of food-science and art. Inside and sidewalk seating, plus, there is a public parking garage within 1/2 block, which doesn't gouge you on the hourly fee...and, if you get there early the guy with the violin could be playing for tips.

This has been my favorite lunch spot during my time in Tucson. I have tried a couple of salads the Green Goddess wrap (I think that was it) and smoothies.I try and eat later so getting here before 2 has proven tough! But it has been worth the rush. The smoothies seem to have a ton of healthy ingredients and taste sooooo good! Plus you can add hemp, protein and other things to make it even better. I try and do the green smoothies with as many veggies as possible. The owner (I think) is so nice- he seems to know everyone and chats with everyone like they're friends- such a welcoming environment. I've also had the same cashier each time I've gone and she is just as friendly too- hard to find service this good! And parking is limited.... But worth waiting- if you can make it!

It's hard to beat a restaurant when their dishes are made with organic, fresh, local, whole-food ingredients. But what really sets this vegan gem apart is the love and creativity that go into every wrap, salad, juice, smoothie, baked good, and everything else they make. We always feel like part of the family when we visit, and the food is always nourishing and delicious. Don't miss the Funky Monkey Smoothie (my favorite!) or the Broccoli Spinash Quiche when it's on special.

I travel for work a lot so it's nice to see healthy options! Small cafe with great service. You can tell they love what they do. I will definitely be back when I travel next.

Well I gave this place a try today and the reviews were correct. It was great! A very friendly staff, with great service. A great downtown atmosphere. Prices were a little high, but right about the norm for downtown. I had the green hatch chile burger and it was very good. I wasn't too sure about the tofu, mushroom based patty in it, but that was a lot better than I expected. The bun though, that's what made it top notch. The chef here, pays great attention to detail and it shows in everything I saw. I also had a peanut butter chocolate chip scone. That was heavy on the peanut butter, but very tasteful. I should be returning here in the near future.

My mouth and tummy are so happy after eating at Urban Fresh. It is not easy to eat healthy on the road. My husband and I were driving from CA to TX, and trying to find something healthy on the way. We are not vegan, but we prefer to eat fresh vegetables. It is sad to us that many vegan places we found are filled with processed products with barely any fresh produce. :( So, you can see how joyful we are finding Urban Fresh while driving through Tucson. The staff are all super friendly, and the owner did not hesitate to tell us what is not a good idea to order. lol Everything we got was deliciously flavorful and very refreshing. My tummy was in a not mood for a few days, but it was very happy after we eat here. After the owner knows that we are on the road, he gifted us a gluten free scone for the road. And it was DELICIOUS! Honestly we were a little skeptical at first, as many vegan deserts are too heavy for me. But hey, not here. The scone we got tasted just like if I was to make it at home (my husband would say that's the highest compliment). Tasty and healthy! If we are in the area again, we will definitely come bak!

Wonderful vegan restaurant. Many tasty lunch entrees. Excellent smoothies too.Owner is really helpful and friendly. Great indoor and outdoor spaces.

Home-made food and delicious lemonade -- all so fresh and clean and good. And as visitors to Tucson we got some local lore and a ton of excellent advice on places to see. Super friendly and a totally refreshing oasis in toasty Tucson.
