Been taking my dogs here for years. Some of the comments I read about "they couldn't help my million year old dog" seem absurd to me. It's not an enviable position to have to tell someone it is time to say goodbye to your long time friend. As for mine, they have always been treated kindly and with objective respect by the staff. Their reccomendations have always been helpful, even when I didn't want to hear it.

What a caring and compassionate staff. We had the sad situation recently of having to say goodbye to one of our kitties, and Dr. Lopez and staff could not have been kinder. They were very patient and took the time answer all of our questions and to treat our kitty with gentle care and compassion.

After 2.5 yrs I had to put my rescue Rotti down due to her health. The staff from the first phone call to the hug I received after it was over was nothing but professional and courteous! Andra L and the other lady (can't remember her name, hug lady, lol) were supportive and respective before, during and after the process. Can't thank you guys enough for making a tough decision a lil easier. David and his girl Maddie.

We just got our last pet neutered! Hooray! We love University Pet Clinic because they really care. On Wednesday's and Thursday's they offer 10% off! Their staff is literally the best because they are very organized and have all the quotes ready for us before we get anything done. Their office is very clean and cute! I love that the doctors are very helpful and caring. Thanks for taking care of all of our pets!

We had a major puppy trauma and thank goodness yelp steered me to University Pet Clinic. They were wonderful from beginning to end of our poor pups dental catastrophe.I dropped off our pup for what I thought was going to be a routine tooth pulling, one or two teeth. Dr. Adams got in there and discovered she actually had teeth resorption. She was not only going to need 10 teeth removed, but two of them had to be done surgically which involved flaps and sutures. Dr. Adams kindly called and explained the situation mid surgery and graciously gave me time to call and consult my family on what to do before proceeding. Before, during, and after surgery they made me feel comfortable to call with any questions. Which I did! Called after, almost daily, with a new question and they were gracious and patient with me. Our pup ended up not holding down food on her second day post surgery and we called, they had us come in free of charge, and helped us solve the issue with an easy diet change. We met with Dr. White on this visit and he was just as wonderful as Dr. Adams. Normally this type of dental procedure would've been referred out due to the complexity, but because they offer dental cleaning discounts in February, Dr. Adams has gained a lot of experience with teeth. They also consulted specialists about our pup before proceeding. This work would've been between 5 and 6k at a specialist, but we paid less than a third of that. Because our bill was higher they worked a deal for us to pay half upfront and half to be billed a month out. They only do this in special circumstances. All of the vet techs and administrative staff were friendly and clearly loved animals! Always reassuring when leaving your fur baby in a scary place. We will be returning here for all future veterinary care.

Dr Adams and Dr White and most of the staff are wonderful. I have been taking 4 dogs here since 2010. They have always gotten the best of medical care. But the owner Dr S. jist told me that my 17 and a half year old dog, who is suffering from renal failure, cannot be prescribed any medication to help her sleep at night because she has renal failure. They had no trouble prescribing her a medication to help her sleep and take the edge off of her pain in 2020. She had renal failure then. My dog still has a good quality of life, she sleeps a lot but still has a good appetite and almost purrs when being petted. She can go up and down steps but she is having trouble sleeping at night the past few weeks and seems agitated, paces which in animals is often a sign on pain. So I called her vet at university pet clinic, my usual vets (dr adams and dr white) were not on. The owner and vet dr S. told me that there was nothing she could do. She said the dog will just have to be in pain or they could euthanize her. She said giving my dog pain meds would exacerbate her kidney failure and she could die. Now does this make any logical sense? I told her that she had never even seen my dog and that at the last checkup a few months ago Dr adams said if Mini ever seemed to be in pain the could re prescribe the med she was on two years ago. Bit dr S. very arrogantly said this is MY practice, it has been in my family for years. I would never go here with any dog of mine again. I am getting a new doctor for my dogs.

I've been taking my cat here for the last six years. There were a lot of positives this place offered and their negatives. As I support any small business, I don't want to hurt them based on my experience.Overall I'd say this is a good alternative for a clinic if you're looking for one, however it didn't work in my situation. My final experience with them was not great, but I'm hopeful for anyone taking their animal in will have a good experience because the staff and the management for the most part are very nice, kind and professional.-Jeremy

After my newly adopted dog vomited up a worm, I was able to get him an appointment the following day at University Pet Clinic. My parents' old vet recommended them, and fortunately for my little dog, they were accepting new clients. Regular appointments were booking out into October, but I was offered an "urgent care" appointment, which I appreciated. The clinic is clean and bright. There is off street parking. I saw that they stock veterinary diets. The front desk staff were pleasant, and the veterinary assistant was extremely kind and professional. So was Dr. Lopez. I was very impressed by how carefully and thoroughly they both examined him. My little guy has "Stranger Danger", and they were both so calm and kind to him. Medication was prescribed and a fecal sample sent off to the lab.Last night, their office called to inform me that the lab report had come back showing Giardia. They already had a prescription filled and ready for me to pick up. The clinic is open until 7pm on weekdays, so even if I hadn't been able to rush over, there would have been plenty of time to get my dog's medicine. They even sell pill cutters, saving me from having to make an extra stop at a drugstore.I'm very pleased with my experience with University Pet Clinic, and will continue to take my dog there for his regular visits, shots, etc.*They offer a great deal on heartworm preventative medication, including a free test. I highly recommend taking advantage of this!

I have been coming to this clinic for over 20 years. My vet of recent has been Dr. Snow, and she is wonderful. Today, I was supposed to see Dr. Snow but she was ill, so I saw Dr. Lopez. This was the worst visit I have ever had with any doctor, animal or human. I gave detailed info about what was going on with my dog and felt like I was pulling to teeth to be told the best way to proceed. I just wanted her to tell me what to do and finally she said we should run a blood test. She also gave some suggestions about pain and arthritic medication. The technician suggested getting a urine sample along with a few other great suggestions. During the entire visit, she was very passive and I just don't get it. She picked at her nails which I consider vey unprofessional. The visit almost seemed surreal. When she left the room, I asked the technician if Lopez was a vet. I thought maybe i was confused because it was an "urgent care" appt. I rarely take my dog to the vet. What happened to this amazing clinic that had such high standards?
