You need it? Kent's got it. And at a better price and quality than bought new. Plus, it is a fun place to visit.

This place is the hidden treasure down the yellow brick road; you thought didn't exist.Need literally any kind of tool; tool items never seen anymore in any big box store, and then think about what your grandfather bought; it's in here! The walkways are certainly not disabled friendly, and barely cleared for those able. Don't take that necessarily as a negative, it's just that you can tell this place had been here just after the Ten Commandments were chiseled... I love places like these and if you ask the owner, he'll tell you if he's got it or not.Think like, if you take two Ace Hardware's, one Lowes/Home Depot stores (tool section only) and add it to two or three small towns' coolest little tools shops barely on the map, stick them inside of a store barely the size of a modern 7-11 and THIS is Kent's Tools in all of its glory. Recommend: If you absolutely live near or work this close and need it super fast. Otherwise, the unexpected and extremely steep prices on even rusted tools completely baffles me! I wouldn't have imagined a second hand store would have SOO many costly corroded tools... At least at Harbor Freight you can buy a new item and a warranty for a year for a few bucks more. I loved the store but the over zealous prices are a real turnoff.

Doug PatersonI never purchased a tool without checking with Kent's tools first! A good used tool especially one made in the U.S.A. is far better than the junk that they sell at the big box stores today. I don't know what I would do without Kent's tools. As far as price goes how much are you willing to pay for a tool that you can hand down through the generations or one that will break before the job is done.

Twenty years ago, I was a Kent's addict. It was my main place to buy router bits, wrenches, and everything else. I stopped in recently and was a little disappointed. It still has that garage sale feel I loved, but I was put off by some of the prices. I saw things that were marked way over what you can buy them for elsewhere in town. Here's the deal with Kent's. They have a mishmash of everything on the planet. If you need something and can't find it anywhere -- check Kent's.I needed a 7/8 inch open end wrench for my table saw. Thing is, it had to have a thin head. Standard wrenches don't fit in this space. Kent had it.

Why has it taken me so long to walk into this unassuming and humble store that offers nearly everything on my needs list for jewelry making etc! Love it.

Try finding what you need here before you go to harbor freight! In my opinion it makes more sense to get a nice used tool for often cheaper than the new, low quality tool from harbor freight. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, and you can be as specific as you want with regards to what you're looking for. It seems like no matter what I need they just magically pull it out of a hat. They also have the tool truck brands, and the prices are usually pretty good. I can't even remember everything I've bought there over the years but here are some highlights from the last few months. Including the cool tool box.

Stopped by Kent Tools today. I walk in and was immediately asked to wear a mask, which seems like overkill these days, but the man was polite so I complied. This place is crazy! There are tools stacked from floor to ceiling everywhere! Not exaggerating! New and used tools in varying degrees of condition. I personally wouldn't buy anything with a motor here, but the hand tools should be a safe bet. The younger gentlemen working has a poor attitude. I overheard him saying HF tools are crap, yet I saw a lot of used HF brands on their shelves. I like Kent's other store, but this store is a disaster. They have too much inventory for the size of the store and half of it is garbage. Prices are high for what they are. I'm sure deals can be found on certain things, but I didn't see anything worth buying. I probably won't ever return.

Great selection of hard to find QUALITY tools. If you know the difference between American tools and Chinese junk then you'll appreciate Kents. I've made numerous trip to Kent's since the 80's and have never been disappointed. By the way, the folks there are knowledgeable about what they sell. Not like the chain and big box places.
