I've been a patient, unfortunately, for several years due to a quad accident and hand issues. Very professional and accommodating treatment with Dr Chris Stevens. I appreciate the online Tucson Orthopedic Dashboard also.

If they can't answer a phone after over an hour two different times then I can't imagine they can provide very good service face to face.

I recently tore rotator cuff. Getting me in with Dr Stevens was several days out so they told me I could get started by seeing Dr Norris that day and then I would go back to Dr Stevens (He's gone surgery on me 2x and is wonderful)Waited more than an hour past my appointment time and finally saw his NP. She agreed with the tear and said they were putting in orders for an MRI.When I then tried to get an appointment with my regular Dr the office refused saying Dr Norris DO was my Dr and their Drs do not "steal" patients so said NO I could not see Dr Stevens.I also learned that Dr. Norris cancelled the MRI and I was NEVER told. Something told me that he and his NP were off so I started to verify. If I had not I would have been sitting around with an unusable arm and in pair waiting for my MRI to be scheduled - NOT.So here I sit 5 days of pain and I MAY get to see Dr Stevens in 10 day, only to then wait longer while an MRI is scheduled. Tucson Orthopaedic, specifically Dr Norris really messed me up. Of course he's not the one in pain.

NO STARS ~ Had appointments set up, called Monday, Tuesday and throughout the week to reschedule - they leave a recording saying they will get back to you within 24 hours ~ NEVER HEARD BACK FROM ANYONE.Horrific treatment, NEGLECT. My Primary Care doctor sent me elsewhere which caused more WEEKS of waiting for PT on my back.UNCONSCIONABLE TREATMENT.

I'm recommending NOT to go to this facility, I'm still in shock at the treatment I received (or lack of treatment lets say) I went to Dr. Bradley Norris in late 2019, explaining I am VERY SURE I had injured/torn my meniscus from using an elliptical exercise machine (since I had meniscus repair surgery on this same knee in 2009) and knew exactly how it felt. I also had an extensive meniscus repair surgery in the other knee in 2017, so I VERY sure I knew this was the same pain.Dr. Norris took an x-ray in his office and told me I had arthritis in my knee, gave me a form with exercises to do to strengthen the knee. I explained that I was in pain and didn't think these exercises would alleviate this pain, he insisted this is my "new normal" and to continue exercising on the elliptical as well as these few exercises on the form he gave me.I'm so mad at myself now for believing him then, but this is what I proceeded to do, thinking I had arthritis now and that these exercises might relief my pain. Dr. Norris offered NO pain medication, no steroid shot, nothing other than a few papers with knee exercising on them.A few months later, after continuing to exercise at the gym, going on 2-3 miles walks everyday with my dogs, and continuing to do the knee exercising, I woke up one day and couldn't move my knee. I knew I needed an MRI at this point, and made an appt at Tucson Ortho to get this request going. They once again scheduled me with Dr. Norris (even though I asked for a different ortho surgeon please) they explained they couldn't because they had to do a "patient transfer request" first before they could schedule me another ortho surgeon. Because I couldn't walk, drive or sleep with this pain in my knee, I went ahead with an appt with Dr. Norris, if only to get the MRI scheduled asap. I met with Dr. Norris and he went into the "arthritis in my knee" diagnosis and said maybe we can do a cortisone shot, and I explained once again, that this is a meniscus tear and I wanted an MRI. I told Dr. Norris I was in extreme pain, and he offered me no pain meds and couldn't even give me advice whether to put cold or hot compress on the knee while I waited for the MRI appt to be scheduled. The MRI took over 10 days to be scheduled, and the "patient transfer request" I did was never submitted. I found this out after I had the MRI and called TOI to get scheduled with a different ortho surgeon. They once again told me they could not schedule me with another surgeon and put in yet another "patient transfer request" so I could get a follow up appt to go over the MRI. It has been 24 days since I saw Dr. Norris, and I am in EXCRUIATING pain and still no one has called from TOI to inform me the "patient transfer request" has been accepted or not and I still have no follow up appointment scheduled with them as of this review. I woke up this morning and called another local ortho surgeon at a different medical practice and now have an appt tomorrow to see him. I have my MRI results back, which from the report confirms the tear in my meniscus, thus diagnosing the pain I've been in.I'm LIVID at this whole event, can't believe how incompetent not only Dr. Norris is, but the whole Tucson Orthopedic Institute staff is as well. Do yourself a favor, DO NOT CALL THIS FACILITY, there are plenty of other competent Ortho surgeons out there.

If I could give this place a zero stars I would. The absolute worst place to come to and I do not recommend it anyone. They lie about there prices and they just want your money to tell you, you are fine. They do not help you AT ALL. They just charge you for using there equipment as if you are the doctor. If you ever have a conversation with a Jessica, don't believe anything she says. She will tell you nothing but lies. HIGHLT DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. Do your research before committing to a Ortho.

This institute had provided me solid numbers for my bill after I had contacted them with questions on my charges, and clearly help me understand why they were incorrect. The following day I came to my appointment and all the previously noted charges were back. This time, the only answer that was available for me was that I had to pay the lump sum. My time was wasted.

I would concur with the negative reviews. When I was a Pt. there a Dr BDx me as needing a new knee when I went in for a mening' cartiledge snip. The knee got infected. His own Phys. Therapy group said it was so swollenthey couldn 't treat me!..... I left there. My knee got better. A year later I found a Dr Karish, who used to work there. He said he and his partner left because they were inept and installing faulty Stryer knees....Karish (sp) was the best knee Dr around. He passed away. When he x-rayed my knee he said it was fine, and referred to my old Dr as Bower the Butcher. Wow. That was about 5 years ago. My knee is still fine! TOI has a few good Docs now! Its sad, because the consitent poor medical quality and slovenly service by off ice staff reflect on the GOOd folk the work there. So sad. RUN FROM TOI !!!!!!! Former Pt. Retired Licensed Respiratory Therapist

I recently went to Tucson Ortho for an appointment regarding my left shoulder. Wow, I don't think I will return to this medical organization or the Oro Valley office again . I work in healthcare and I am familiar with how busy the industry is right now especially with a Covid and other restrictions in place. I am also familiar with the level of customer service paying patients deserve and the ability for us to choose any healthcare service we would like. This facility has disappointing customer service. I walked in to check in, paid the copay and filled out the health summary as instructed and was asked to sit down as my name would be called when "they were ready" The facility lobby is very big, I sat the furthest away from where "they" evidently call you back. I heard my name faintly called out "Brandy" so I walked to where I thought the voice was coming from, as I stood looking around nobody was there in front of the double doors. So, I looked to my right where there was a desk with plexi glass and I noticed nobody was sitting there either. I looked confused so I waited thinking " they" would come back... Suddenly, a woman behind the plexi glass on my right shows up to her chair and says, "are you Brandy?" I replied, yes mam, I am sorry I did not see anyone over here and It's hard to hear in the lobby. She was sooooo soooo rude and said with a nasty attitude, I said "Brandy Triage" and there are signs posted that say triage, there and there and pointed to her signs. I became irritated with her MVD style customer service and told her first of all I can read and second of all your patient lobby is the furthest away from your triage desk and it's difficult to hear you. She agreed it's difficult to hear in her large lobby, so I was confused with the major attitude & the fact she was not sitting at her desk after calling my name. So, if I can't hear the word triage her pointed out sign meant nothing to me. I was put off from the start. If the woman that checked me in and took my copay had said to me that once you hear your name your going to go to this desk to my right that says triage and have your vitals and health summary reviewed first. Had that happened, I would not have pissed the triage nurse off by looking lost in an office I had never been too. After that, I was told to sit back down . Another woman called my name, I met her at the double door, no introduction such as, Hi my name is Rose Iam the M.A. I will take you back. She just whisked me back told me to sit down in the exam room and "they" will be in to see you. Suddenly, this man opens the curtains and says come with me for an X-ray. Ummm who are you and do I need an X-ray before seeing the doctor . I went back to X-ray and the X-ray tech never introduced himself either, he just had me standing around in his work area, and it felt awkward . So, I had to ask him do you want me to put my purse on your desk and stand here as he was on the computer doing something. He said "No, go in the X-ray area and in that room put your purse down and sit down. " umm okay that's good to know. He came in the X-ray bay to take pictures and still never said hi Brandy, Iam so and so and I will be doing X-rays and this is why. He just started with are you pregnant, take your bra strap down etc.. WTH, where's the introduction before asking someone personal health questions and to remove their bra straps. I met with 6 health professionals in that office and out of 6, one gave me their name and title and that was the doctor. The employees at this office work like robots, no personal skills, unfriendly, lack customer service and lack professional communication and The brunette triage nurse works like an MVD employee. If they run their office in this cold manner they should just have patients pull a number which calls you to report to each station. I feel that approach would have been more helpful and I would not have been so caught off guard by the robotic cold feel from the personnel . In summary, no professional manners in my opinion .
