It's a beautiful course, but unfortunately we didn't play on a beautiful day. It started out looking good from the first tee box, but then the rain came and temperature dropped to around 50F. At one point it was sleeting on us. The course has a perfect layout with some very tricky dogleg holes that are deceiving. We called it quits after 15 holes. The greens were very fast with several with high degrees of undulation. There is no shortage of sandtraps as well as I found myself in quite a few during my visit. They use Club Car electric carts with GPS and other features. Just be very mindful where you are on the course. Several times we needed to back up to get to the cart path when we may have gone off course.

Among the best courses I've played. My brother and I thoroughly enjoyed the Tom Lehman-designed desert style Sonoran Course. A good layout, great views of the Santa Catalina Mountains, challenging holes and very well maintained tee boxes, fairways and greens. The fantastic meal at Bob's Chop & Steakhouse was a great way to close the evening. We look forward to returning and playing the Catalina Course.

Very nice golf course in a good area of the city. Recently worked an event here and all staff was friendly and the food was good as well. The Champions Tour is a must see and the competition was intense as well.

The golf course that time has passed. This is a typical 1970's Arizona Parkland golf course that has seen better days. Several other similar Arizona parkland courses from the same era have been redesigned. Camelback and Wigwam are two examples. Joe in the pro shop was courteous but harried, Steve was the excellent organizer out in the cart area as he deftly handled the swarms of golfers coming to play in their junket shuttle. Rick was our starter on Catalina and he did a great job of orientation. This course is not in the best condition right now. The fairways are starting to brown, the greens were infested with foreign grasses, the tee boxes were decent. There are no ice chests on these carts, the only water on this course is every third hole with little paper cups. The beverage cart made one brief appearance during our round. This is less than acceptable in desert heat. The course maintenence folks are too intrusive and distracting hereand management should increase awareness training. Mower operators in close proximity to players then starting and stopping engines, workers watering fairways manually with no regard for golfers and walking in front as shots are being addressed are some examples. This is not a player friendly course. You might as well be cart path only. The draconian cart control governor does not permit full use of the golf cart, and makes a round of golf a nasty sloug. The tree lined fairways are wide and forgiving. There are several lakes where the hazard extends past the red stake. Hole #10 is a ball collector for first timers with a draw, #18 is a nasty long par 4 with water all around.

I have played this course many times. I belong to another club that has reciprocal rights with the Omni. I have found the courses to be in as good a condition as the weather and time of year permit. The staff doesn't know me from squat and they have always been kind and helpful.

The pro's are horrible and rude. The head pro Danny Medina is unprofessional, dismissive and rude. Ruins the whole experience. I would recommend spending your money somewhere else.

We played both courses on the property, the Sonoran and Catalina. I personally preferred the Sonoran due to it's multiple elevated tees and beautiful desert scenery. If you seek traditional desert landscapes then this is the course for you. The Catalina course has longer (greener) fairways and is definitely more challenging. We visited this establishment in late April and booked a 7:30 am tee time. We were done with our round by 11:15 am. Location is in the middle of the desert so get out there early or book your tee time after 4:00 pm. We spent two nights in a junior suite and although the room was spacious and clean the decor and electronics could use some updating. The staff was professional and courteous. Our experience was pleasant and we would definitely visit again.

Doesn't get much better than this for Tucson golf. This past weekend I played the Catalina course for the first time twice after previously playing the Sonoran course. In my opinion, I think the Catalina course is better, but you really can't go wrong playing either of these two courses. Both of them are challenging in their own ways for any skill level of golfer. Greens were in great condition as well for being in the late summer. Awesome practice facility. If I was living in Tucson permanently I would look into becoming a member here, it's just that good. I can't wait to come back soon!

This was an enjoyable course to play even during early summer transition. The greens had not filled in completely but they still rolled well. A nice parkland style layout that was a pleasant diversion from target style desert layouts I play so often. The enclosed parking was also a pleasant surprise.
