This is a festival that illustrates how Tucson punches above its weight. There is an incredible variety of food. I focused on Toledo Catering's Oaxacan cuisine. The flor de cabeza con chapulines quesadilla -- a flower, cheese, onion, and grasshopper quesadilla -- was delicious. I followed up with a prickly pear beverage from Desert Forager. There's still time to visit the festival today. I know I'm already looking forward to visiting again next year!

This was my first year attending Tucson Meet Yourself and it did not disappoint! There were so many food vendors and different stages with entertainment. We ended up eating Indian fry bread, grape leaves, and Thai combination plate that included Pad Thai, fried rice, egg roll, and fried banana. The prices weren't bad. I wish we had more stomach space to try more foods!

I've been attending this event since the 1970s when it started. It's always a winner, with an amazing variety of food, crafts and performances (mostly music but also some dance). Along with the Tucson Folk Festival, this is one of my favorite events on the Tucson calendar. It does get crowded at times, but the booths with the shortest lines are often the ones most worth trying.

The food here was so good, and diverse that you can find something for anyone to eat. Much like all street fairs and festivals, be prepared to stand in line and walk-through crowds of people to enjoy it though. Though for me it only gets three stars because for a festival that centers around food there was little to no table seating to actually sit and enjoy the food. They seem to have thought of everything else. Water stations, people managing trash everywhere, security, music, but they missed on letting people sit and enjoy the international food they just paid a premium for.

I have been attending this event since 2007, even though I no longer live in Tucson.. every year I rent a hotel room and ride the train to downtown Tucson to eat, watch the performers, shop the booths and people watch. I've taken my kids when they were little and now my bf joins me.I've seen this event move around the downtown Tucson area.. I've found a lot of my favorite food vendors and some new ones each year. Thai, polish, Mexican, Russian, Peruvian, Puerto Rican, Laos, Philippines, Jamaican .. soo much variety! On my recent visit we had Thai food, jerk chicken, veggie samosas, pierogi, potato pancakes with applesauce, beef empanadas, and guava pie while enjoying the perfect weather on a Friday night. On Saturday we had takoyaki, gyoza, agua de sandia, cherry shaved ice, Thai chicken stick, egg rolls, fried bananas, pad Thai and watched a bunch of performers including the Hawaiian, Aztec & polish dancers and the lion drummer dance. We saw the car show with its collection of low riders with bright paint jobs and murals We shopped the booths where I bought a Day of the Dead tank to support the humane society, chocolate truffles with mezcal, and the cutest little owl.. we picked up free light bulbs and freebies from various vendors What a great weekend!! The sounds, the people, the smells.. I can't wait to see you again next year!

This was my first year and it won't be my last! From the music to the vendors to the performances....we were in heaven. First let me say I'm so happy they kept going rain or shine. Saturday it rained most of the day. But I was determined to experience what other natives call Tucson Eat Yourself. I bought an umbrella just to enjoy. Food: First place we hit was the Venezuelan food truck. Those arepas were worth going out! Throughout the day we experienced the food of Japan, Columbia, Tohono O'odham Nation, Greece, and one other amazing place I missed the name of. Sunday, my brother in law loves the Bosnian food. He and my sister reported they enjoyed their day. Vendors:We purchased alcohol, chocolate, honey, and prickly pear juice. It was nice to enjoy local products. Side note: I wish I memorized business names. I won't lie I was amazed yet overwhelmed by all of the things to see and enjoy. We went back on Sunday but it was packed with people. Which was overwhelming. This was a great event for all. We brought the baby on Sunday and she laughed and cheered at the shows. People brought there pets and were respectful of cleanliness. I can't wait for next year.
