Tucson Awning & Screen

I'm a contractor and went into have 5 foot by 6 foot shade for my client made.The quote was $396, plus another $27 to be paid upfront and I was told they were backed up for two weeks.I thought that was pretty steep pricing for such a small shade, but had used them a few years back and thought maybe I just didn't realize how much things had increased.A couple of days later I was getting some different materials and the business next door was a Shade manufacturer so I popped in to get a quote because I still was having some doubts about the original pricing for Tucson Awning. The exact Shade fabric sewn the exact way was quoted to me at $167.I immediately call Tucson Awning to cancel because it had only been a couple of days and she had been adamant that two weeks was the soonest it could be made. When I called to cancel she put me on hold then came back and said I couldn't cancel as they were just starting the job..... HmmmSo when I went in to pick up the Shade I confronted them with the other quote and asked them to adjust the price. I didn't ask to beat the quote, just be more reasonable.That's when things got pissy, she claimed there was nothing to be done about the pricing and It was a done deal.I believe the business has changed hands as they are remodeling (badly).So buyers beware... get other quotes as there are much more reasonable choices out there.I'll be disputing the charge to my credit card company as we consumers need to stand up to rip off artists like this..Sorry for the long winded review.....

I was extremely satisfied this this company. Very friendly and knowledgeable on the phone fast efficient service and the price was less than the competition. I had 2 patio sliding door screens replaced. They were able to give me an accurate quote on the phone which other companies were not able to do.

I cannot believe the awful service this company provides. I have no idea how they stay in business. I waited two weeks to have someone come out, and they were about 4 hours late for the appointment. I then waited three more weeks for the estimate, and had to call 4 or 5 times to receive an estimate that was difficult to figure out. I then called several more times in an attempt to receive a simple explanation, which I never did receive. In all, I have spent almost two months patiently waiting for a simple design, and am totally disgusted! Shame on me!

I have used them in the past and contacted them for some work.The products are still good but the prices quoted are just way too much now, a small 10x14 tarp cover replacement for $1,600 is totally insane. This is Tucson not Beverly Hills. I had to pass. Perhaps you will have better luck.

This company was friendly and professional. A bit on the high side $$$. Great work and great installers.

I have worked with Tucson Awning and Screen a few times with previous homes. I love their work and they stand behind their product. Recently I had a really large job and they did an amazing job. You do have to wait a while to get the product and have the service done, but in the end it is worth the wait.

I contacted Tucson Awning & Screen to get a quote for retractable shades. They were very fast to respond and came out and did the measurements. Their quote was significantly lower than the competition and they had a great selection of colors so we hired them. They provided fast, professional service with a quality product. We've been satisfied for the last few months and we highly recommend them.

This company came to my home to measure for 3 replacement screens and a screen door. I was promised a quote the day after measuring. No call. Next week I called and got a partial quote - not what I asked for, so I asked again and was promised a call the next day. A week later no response so I called again and was told the sales person "was not working out." I then got a full quote, accepted the price and gave my credit card number for a 50% deposit. Oh but then for the first time I was told that installation of the door would be $70 extra. I was upset but would have still ordered the screens if they had offered me any discount on the installation for my trouble and their negligence. But no, I asked and was refused. She was quite arrogant and insistent that I had been quoted an installation price. Now I see that they got my measuring fee, so they got paid and I got nothing. When I do buy screens, I will post here again with the price and service comparisons.

I am just following up after my earlier quote review. This company did not disappoint us and glad we went with them. They finished our back porch screening and did such a nice job. We have gotten so many compliments on it. There were two workers and they finished in two days. A few weeks later we decided we needed a fan on the porch and they came back and put it in. Then we decided we wanted sunscreens on our windows. So we hired them to do that. They were great with everything...great quality and workmanship. Our porch and screens are beautiful!

Company is very difficult to work with. They first stated that they would be willing to come out on Saturday to install our screens, but did not disclose that there would be a $45.00 trip charge to do so. When I confronted the woman who is doing the scheduling about this, she tried to turn things back on me and stated that I was the one that had the problem. So when I attempted to try and just get the appointment done and over despite my discomfort of not having anyone potentially home, I was then accused of being difficult because I was not happy with the Saturday's she was quoting 3 weeks out. Can't win with these people. When I asked if I could speak with her supervisor, I was told that she was the supervisor. When I asked to speak with the owner, I was told that she was on her way to being the owner...seems a little suspicious to me.
