I was fortunate to stay here last weekend- the beginning of December. I enjoyed the room, the restaurant, and the spa, but I did not golf, so if you want reviews on that, keep scrolling. If you are from the Valley, this resort is owned by the same company that owns the Hermosa Inn and Rancho Manana and this place does not stray far from this group of lovely resorts. We hit a beautiful weekend, that had warm sunny days and then cooled off beautifully at night. Sweater weather- at night anyway! They have three different rooms and we stayed in a hacienda which was spacious and pretty. It has parking right in front of the room, a very large bathroom, and an open bedroom/living room area with fireplace. Of course they have all the normal amenities like a bar fridge, a safe, and a large tub. The above average amenities are the nice robe, a bar sink, and a private patio in the back with a view of the property. The grounds are really lovely. Definitely a beautiful spot to get married or to have an event. Large grassy areas, a big pool area with two pools and a hot tub, a gift store, a spa, and of course golf! You could come and stay here for a few days without leaving. We dined at the restaurant the first night we stayed here and the food was tasty. It is busy so make a reservation. They offer an eclectic menu, and I went out of my comfort zone and ordered pork schnitzel and it was delicious. Service could have been a little quicker but I think they want people to come and relax here. They have a bar off to the side that is fun too.The spa is compact but lovely. I had a great massage, and they have a sauna and a steam room in each locker room. My massage therapist was an esthetician too so she helped me with a little issue which was a bonus. They did remind me to not use too many towels. The bed was generally comfortable, and although there was an event of some kind going on, I did not hear a thing! The room was well over 600 square feet and quite clean. It was right around $300 and really is a lovely room for that price. I recommend this resort as a nice get away Phoenix.

I will definitely be staying here next time I come to Tubac. It's been on my list for years now as every time I come this way it's a stop on my destination list. While I haven't stayed at the hotel / resort I have been on the grounds for lunch and their gift shop. I've also walked the grounds as it's open to the public as long as you are frequenting their shops, restaurants or golf course.Tubac golf resort is so peaceful and beautiful. You would never guess necessarily that you are out in the middle of nowhere. In some ways I guess you could because it is peaceful but the resort is so well done with its bushes, trees, and landscaping that it seems like an oasis. The restaurants on site are fabulous. I dined here for lunch last year and the food was excellent. Nice variety of ever changing menus. I also really love their gift shop here. I come almost every year and waltz in because they have cute gifts if you have a golfer in your life. I've bought some nice golf hats here over the years and I love their little adobe logo. Thinking about coming back in February and I'll definitely be staying here and reporting back on the overall resort. In the meantime I can confirm that the grounds, restaurants and shop are wonderful.

Well we arrived and our room was a nice little casita in a garden area. But after sitting quietly, we discovered our neighbors on both sides knew each other and were already trading jokes across the patios with us in the middle. Think Oreo. And they were discussing who brought more beer than wine. We went to the main desk to see if we had the option to Change. This was looking more river camping than resort spa experience. The manager said YES, o f course and we didn't need a reason to justify a change. We swapped keys and moved to a golf course view. No neighbors tonight. Very nice Client Services. .

First time getting a craniosacral massage from Michelle. Michelle is a great healer! Her hands are a gift from God If you haven't tried one it releases emotional pain and stress. I feel like a new person! The ambiance is very relaxing and comforting! For lunch I had the apple pecan salad with salmon and a fruit cup. I also had a manicure at the salon and caramel ice cream from the gift shop! I will definitely be back.

The rooms are a bit older and in some need of paint and minor renovations. However, for the comfort, space, price, ambiance, it was really nice. All the staff were helpful and friendly. The bed, sheets, towels, etc were very nice. We will return.

We stayed 3 nights here... we ate dinner at Stables, had a facial at the spa, and just enjoyed the resort. Upon walking into the room, we were impressed by how beautiful it was. It was very clean and well maintained. The fireplace was a nice addition. It was nice to sit on the back porch and watch the golfers golf. The facial at the spa was incredible. The best facial I have ever had! Maria gets 5 stars plus!!! It was so relaxing and my face felt great after!!!Stables restaurant's food was over the top! I don't usually like a lot of pasta or sausage but their pasta was incredible... it had so much flavor!!! The apple pie was definitely made from scratch... one of the best for sure!!!Overall, this has been an incredible stay!!! I would definitely come back!!!

Service and cleanliness have really gone down hill. 6 years ago it was fabulous. Through COVID is was great. Now it is just okay. Went with friends over Valentine's Day weekend, food was mediocre, service from front desk to restaurant wait staff was way below average and the rooms could use a good scrub. It used to be our respite from the hustle & bustle of life, not anymore. The views and grounds are wonderful but you can find that throughout AZ. With the exception of the spa staff, everyone who works there acts like you are an inconvenience to them. And now, they charge you $10/day for a microwave in your room. Next time I'll go 15 minutes up the road to Canoa Ranch. These days, you need to spend your money where it is appreciated.

We LOVE LOVE the Tubac Golf Resort and Spa. We will be back again. Having visited previously, we can always count on this place being consistent. The staff is SO friendly and accommodating!! The setting is just peaceful/tranquil and a much needed break from the madness of life. The casitas are SO spacious and the beds/bedding beyond comfortable!!! We had a good supply of firewood for the fireplace and had we been staying longer would have definitely taken advantage of it. The guests are just HAPPY, greeting each other and having a great time! We hiked the Anza trail and had a lovely time! It's so quiet and the history is amazing! The golf shop has a great deal to offer, though the man at the counter wasn't particularly pleasant, except to those who were members. No big deal, my husband decided not to golf. I particularly fell in love with the body lotion they provide in the rooms (I forgot mine) and bought a supply in the gift shop! The young woman who runs the gift shop is so sweet! I did not use the spa this time as my experience the last time was a little off putting. The person giving the massage kept bringing up tip and talked through the entire experience. I should have said something but did not. I wrote a separate review on the restaurant, because though we enjoyed wonderful breakfasts! The rest was completely lacking and actually so bad, by the time we left we started laughing. It was so bad, it became comical!! We were left shaking our heads. Overall, we will definitely go back to the Tubac Resort. We were not aware there is a "resort fee for parking/WiFi/Use of the Tennis Courts (we didn't use)/Use of the Pool (will use in the summer but didn't in Feb.). We are fine with a fee, but it would be nice to be told.

What's not to like? The view from the main dining room is outstanding. The staff is terrific, and the food is excellent. I would recommend their breakfast omelette and for dinner the pork schnitzel. You really can't go wrong with whatever your choice may be.
