Between the pizza and the brewery... it was hard to choose what I liked better! The pizza was exactly what you would expect - crispy cheese around the edges and perfectly cooked crust and toppings. The sauce was a great combo of sweet and spiced (not spicy). We ordered the Pepperoni and it was fantastic. Came out quickly and the staff was friendly and very accommodating - working to make our visit perfect. The bonus is Craft Brewing being attached. I had the Hazy IPA from Mosaic and it was balanced and tasty. Again, the staff was great!

I walked in on a Saturday around 3:30pm. It wasn't busy at all. The GM, John, asked me if I was from Michigan. No, I replied, I'm from NW Indiana where we eat Chicago-style.I ordered a small 8"x10" 3-cheese pizza with mushrooms and sat on the patio with my dog Wolfie. I had iced tea to drink.Service was very friendly and the pizza came out fast. The carmelized crispy crust is genuine Detroit style, with a gooey, cheesy center. There was plenty of cheese on my pizza. Two slices were more than enough for me.

The apple walnut salad at Transplant has become my favorite salad in Tucson. It's perfect with or without chicken and I love that they have two size options. Transplant is not at all close to my house, but this salad is worth the trip.

Nice place inside and great service. Connected to the brewery next door. I got the lunch special of a slice a salad and a drink. Price was great for the meal size. The salad was a Buffalo chicken salad with ranch. It has fresh croutons that are made in house. The salad was great. Chicken had flavor and was a decent amount. Salad 9.3/10. The pizza I didn't know what to expect. The only way I can describe it is as a mix of deep dish and Sicilian. It is very "bready" but I am about that life. It reminds me of a homemade Sicilian. Sauce is well balanced and great flavor. I give the pie a 9.3/10. Something about it and the thickness of the dough is fantastic. I'll definitely be back to try more items.

¡Qué desastre! On our first (and last) visit here we walked into an empty restaurant late in the afternoon on a Wednesday. We had barely gotten in the door when the man across the room at the register indicated he was ready for us. After looking over the menus in the stand by the door we went up and ordered 2 slices of "double pepperoni" and a half Apple Walnut salad. (The register dude said he usually needs two slices of pizza to fill up, but a half salad is usually enough for two people -- which it was. But having never tried their pizza we decided to stick to one slice each to start out.) As we walked away from the register I noticed the guy had only rang up one slice of pizza. When I went back he said "Well I guess you get one for free." I wasn't sure whether to thank him or to apologize. We ended up going the bar side to eat which we found by accident. While waiting for our food I went up and tasted a couple lower-buzz Mosaic beers, and ordered a Boom Bang Pow, which was the least watery of the ones I tried. But still nothing to write home about. Our salad came out first. The greens were a bit wilted and walnuts were over-candied to the extreme. The croutons were pretty good. The dressing was this weirdly thick sweet concoction, but they gave us a lot of it.A while later a young woman brought out a tiny slice of cheese pizza swimming in a huge aluminum pan (which in hindsight I guess is the pan for a whole 8"x12" pizza). Since we figured this was the "free" slice we let it go that there was no pepperoni.A while later the young woman brought out another tiny slice of cheese pizza. This time we stood our ground and insisted we get at least one thing we ordered and paid for. And she was back with a slice of pepperoni pretty quickly. So now finally having two slices of pizza, we ate them. And they were pretty bad. The caramelized outer crust was kind of authentic. But the inner crust was tough, there wasn't much in the way of cheese or pepperoni (if this was double pepperoni I'd hate to see the single version!), and the sauce was boring and also spare. On the upside the parking situation is good. But since we won't be coming back, it doesn't really matter.I guess all these people who give this place 5 stars, and who say they come back over and over, have different experiences than we did.

Ok. So first off, I love serial grillers. Walking into Transplant, we were hit HARD with a nasty smell. My husband and I both knew it was a drain somewhere that was backed up....but we still sat down. We really just should have left. Gone to serial grillers. Fried pickels. Great! Could taste they need to change the oil. Whatever. Hot and tasty with the spicy dip. Beers. Always good. Now' the Detroit style pizza. I've never had it, so this is my first experience. Pepperoni was hard as a rock, and it really didn't have a lot of taste. I wish we had gone with the elote or Buffalo chix, but my son was with us, ha! Ok. The poor guy on the beer side was all alone. On a friday!. The lady bringing food from the other side wasn't helping him, and he was overloaded. Super friendly and quick though. My son says he needs a raise! And they only have one bathroom... it is disgusting. We won't be back. We will stick with serial grillers...

This was our first time ordering from Transplant on Saturday. We had a large pick up order and George was very helpful and patient in ensuring we got our order. The Chicken Pesto sandwich, Italian sandwiches, Spicy Ham sandwich, Pepperoni pizzas and Parmesan Fries were awesome! Lastly, the Chocolate Chip cookies were delicious. Next time, we will try the brownies. We would definitely go back and order again. Thank you George and crew!!

Review: Great Italian SandwichThis Italian sandwich was nothing short of extraordinary. I love a good Italian sandwich and this one hits the spot. I am not a huge mayo person so I got it without the mayo. Every bite was a testament to what an Italian sandwich should be: bold, satisfying, and utterly crave-worthy. The bread was crispy and soft at the same time. The ingredients were all fresh and delicious. I will definitely come back.
