This place remind me of the gun section at any Bass pro shop or Cabela's. they have nearly everything you need from a pocket knife to high end rifles. The prices are reasonable, the salespersons are knowledgable, and they have a wide selection to choose from. They also support the Military community. They provide gun giveaways during "right arm night" event at Fort Huachuca. My philosophy is if a business support its community then consumers should support them in return. I have my eye on a few things so once I have the funds, I'll be heading to Trail Boss Guns.

Excellent customer service. Had been wanting to purchase a new handgun and did some shopping around Tucson and Sierra Vista, AZ. The BX gun counter at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base had no sales tax but Trail Boss price was lower even with sales tax. The FT Huachuca PX gun counter was the same price as Davis-Monthan plus they're remodeling the PX so beware going there.

Great price Family own, support local business. Great addition to Vail. If I can make a suggestion, greet every customer when they walk in. Treat each one with the same respect. I have noticed that certain people get more attention then others. Just my observation and my opinion. Trail Boss will continue to be my go to shop.

I made an online purchase of a pistol described as a HK USP compact 9mm Variant 1 from Trail Boss, Inc on January 22nd 2019 it included two ten round magazines. I received an email from the owner, Michael Benson, a few minutes after my purchase, asking if I would like to purchase two additional ten round magazines. He included a link for the magazines that led to his website. I declined. He replied that he would include them gratis. I wrote back and expressed my gratitude. The image of the USP was a little blurry. When I went back and looked at it again later, I noticed it was of a USP 45 compact. As it turns out the photo was NOT of the actual pistol offered for sale. I called Trail Boss and spoke with Michael Benson. He said the image on the website was one he pulled from the internet at random. He assured me the HK USP that I purchased was in great shape. I didn't actually see the HK until February 11th, 2019 because Michael had initially shipped the HK to the wrong address. When I did inspect the pistol, I found that it was not a Variant 1 (safety/Decocker) but a DAO/LEM with no Safety/Decocker Lever. I refused delivery. I never took possession of the weapon.I contacted Michael the same day by email. When I didn't receive a reply email so I called Michael on the telephone the next day. He said that he wouldn't credit me until he received the HK. I explained that I never took possession. He wouldn't budge on his stance. It is my opinion that Trail Boss and its Owner Michael Benson acted not only acted incompetently but fraudulently. Michael advertises his business as veteran owned and operated. As veteran myself, I would never treat anyone the way this company treated me. You may see duplicates of this complaint with other agencies and associations. I have copies of emails and screen captures of the actual webpage advertising the USP for sale at Trail Boss. I can provide transcripts of telephone conversations. Please learn from my experience and avoid Trail Boss like the plague.

Worst customer service in a 100 mile radius. Certain staff members don't know how to speak without talking down to you. The gunsmith doesn't seem to understand guns made after 1950, yet gets visibly angry when you offer any input simply because he's been a gunsmith for 30 years and you haven't (yet somehow I've never even heard of him). Honestly not sure how they've stayed open this long. Must be taking money from the Clinton Foundation for turning people away from guns.

Just moved into Sierra Vista and stopped into the store to see if I could get some work done on a revolver I own. After explaining what I wanted done the two staff members I talked to treated me very condescendingly like I was some sort of fool and told me they could not do anything for me. I have shot and worked on revolvers since 1962 and what I wanted done I have had done or done the repairs myself.. I will not enter their place of business again.

Gosh. Stopped in a few minutes after they opened, to pick up a 1911 holster, and buy a SA 1911 9mm they've had on the shelf for awhile. The Gentleman that finally decided to greet me. was so rude about being out of all RH 1911 holsters, that I decided not to purchase the $1,400 handgun either. I ordered the handgun through a friend with a FFL, but so much for trying to support our local business. Hope you have better luck if you walk in their door!

This store has knowledgeable employees and a decent product selection, but no concept of privacy. If you care about gun privacy, I'd pay only with cash, and avoid their customer rewards program like the plague. You should not sign up for any mailing list they have, because they show no discretion in releasing portions of it publically.
