A friend from New Mexico recommended this place to me. Since I was visiting Tucson, he asled me to bring back 6 dozen to him. I trusted him, so I bought 2 dozen for myself. OMG!!!! Excellent tortillas, practically right off the grill. I could (and do) eat them right out the package, warmed with butter!!! (The entrance is in the back.) Very friendly staff. They even gave us a couple of tortillas right off the grill to go!!! Love this place!!

The only tortillas I eat. Bring cash to avoid the surcharge for plastic. I have to bring tortillas to family in the Phoenix area, because they only want them from Dona Esperanza. Like I said, the ONLY choice for me.

Strong but mighty! I first bought these tortillas in Patagonia and found out that the bakery was right around the corner from me. It may be a little hole in the wall, but let me tell you they make tortillas like Nana made. I don't think you will be disappointed at all! What is more, they have whole wheat tortillas that are pretty dang good and at a fabulous price (less than $3 for a FULL dozen!)

My husband and I were passing through Tucson on a road trip. My aunt asked me to bring back a dozen Sonoran style tortillas on our way back. I thought they would make a nice gift for my son, my neighbor and my sister too.I looked on Yelp and found Tortilleria Doña Esperanza. When I arrived a gentleman was sealing bags of freshly made tortillas. Can't get any fresher than that. I bought 5 dozen. I should have bought more. They were amazing. Once everyone tasted them, they wanted to know how they could purchase some, too.The tortillas near me that are sold as Sonoran tortillas are not even close. I wish Doña Esperanza would open a tortilleria in Los Angeles county.

Very clean and very nice staff. These tortillas bring back memories of my Nana Romero trying to get me to take a nap while she made tortillas......don't know that I ever took a nap but those tortillas were the best. These are real tortillas!! Highly recommend!

Delicious REAL tortillas!!! Both the flour and corn tortillas are smooth thin and savory. Just remember the back door is the front door. Easy to park across the street or in the gated parking lot with will lead you to the front door. I brought cash which was good because their debit system was down at the time I went in. No worries though and the woman actually counted back my change!
