Arizona 01-2024 Tony and I visited Tombstone during my 60th Birthday trip. I try to take a trip every year for my birthday, and this was a big milestone one..so it was a 2 wk cross country drive and Tombstone was one of the stops, so glad we did.We stopped at the Court House to tour it and it cost $14 for both. I was so excited, I forgot to show my access pass, it might have been free !! There is 2 levels of Antique artifacts to look at and read about. It was very informative. Highly recommend if you are in the area!

Stepping inside, you are instantly transported back to the Old West with its authentic artifacts and exhibits. The courthouse itself is beautifully maintained, offering a detailed look at the legal and social history of Tombstone. The exhibits are informative and engaging, covering everything from notorious outlaws to the everyday lives of the town's residents. I especially enjoyed the courtroom, which has been meticulously restored to its original condition. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, providing insightful stories and answering all my questions with enthusiasm. Their passion for the history of Tombstone really added to the experience. The park also has well-kept grounds and a nice gift shop where you can pick up some unique souvenirs. Whether you're a history buff or just looking for an interesting outing, Tombstone Courthouse State Historic Park offers a rich and immersive experience.

The Tombstone Courthouse is state historical site and houses a fantastic museum with a very fair admission price of $7. Most folks are coming to Tombstone because of the famous OK Corral gunfight and the Courthouse has an exhibit that explains how they think it all went down (I gather some guys were in a fighting mood and some other guys decided this town wasn't big enough for all of them and everyone decided to shoot each other. Or something like that). Outside of that, they've got great exhibits that explain the towns founding, showcase some period clothing and highlight some Tombstone notable citizens. There's even a great display of the different styles of barbed wire which was oddly fascinating. They're limiting capacity right now to 10 people so you might have to wait a bit but it's worth it. Plan to spend 45 minutes or so inside. The rangers were super friendly too - definitely worth stopping by if only to learn some real history before you check out one of the many "authentic" gunfight recreation shows.

Great museum in town. I like that it's a self guided tour and you can take your time going through it, paying attention to the items that capture your attention. Friendly staff, beautiful building and a great source of Tombstone history.

Another historic stop. Lots of Tombstone history in this building. Due to covid, the wait was a little over an hour. No reservations or a waiting list. When people leave, whomever is there can get in. Two floors of historic items and an outdoor area not to miss. Take your time and enjoy the history. With the limited amount of people inside, you can really see and read all the exhibits.

This was the best thing we did in Tombstone. Bonus our state park pass got us in free. Huge amount of the cities history here. You can see reconstructed gallows (not the original). The actual courthouse is still set up with everything. Even the jury area. A grand staircase takes you to the second level. We spent a lot of time at the courthouse. This is a must if your in the area.

Wow the history behind this city and this building is remarkable. A lot of original pieces flooring well preserved. Taking a self tour and reading and seeing pieces belonging to Wyatt Earp and other known figures in history from the late 1800s early 1900s is amazing. Being in the courthouse you get a weird feeling knowing who was here and people hung in the gallows outback dam. This is a must stop when coming to tombstone to see.

If you enjoy history, this is a great place to stop. Lots of exhibits to look at including a rebuilt gallows, which really puts it in perspective. They also have clean bathrooms, which can be hard to find in Tombstone. With your ticket, you can stop back again later in the day. This was helpful when the kids needed a bathroom break.
